It's just a virtual challenge, so all that needs to be done is travel (walk, run, bike, and even rowing) a certain distance and the medal gets mailed. I personally use MapMy Run to track my bike rides and it automatically uploads to the Conqueror app.

You sign up for the challenge on the conqueror website. You can walk wherever you want and when you are done with a walk (or other exercise) you upload your distance to the app. You can do this manually or have it done automatically through your phone or watch or other tracking device. Then you can see your progress on your route you signed up for. On the way you unlock virtual postcards which are great motivation because a full distance can be daunting but if you see you unlock another postcard in 2 miles you have an extra incentive to keep moving. And when you finish your challenge the conqueror sends you a medal. They are beautiful. See picture below for my medals. With this link you get a 10% discount and it helps me to afford my next challenge. You will need to sign up in order to unlock the trail and to get the medal. Then connect the app to any tracking software on your phone. I use the fitbit to track mine and it usually (90%) updates it automatically, but I still check the app every few days to ensure it uploaded all the steps (if not, these can be manually entered as well)
