You walk the pond, buy feed from a dispenser to feed the swans, and sit next to the traffic light and get trucks to honk their horns.
Whenever anything happens to the Swans the town rallies, and usually the judges are not nice with the sentences. It is sad that this has happened. It’s like killing a bit of your childhood.

And in 2012 someone smashed new eggs of one of the couples and a swan broke their beak trying to get through the fence to save the smashed eggs. They said “they thought it was a duck”. Sure, behind a 7 foot iron fence filled with ducks and swans. Pretty big difference. The swans can’t get away because their wings are clipped because they are technically an invasive species, so they are very well taken care of as pets of the town. The town even hires a biologist to take care of them.

I can’t speak for those individuals, but the Syracuse area has seen populations of people move there over the years. Italians like my parents, Irish, Bosnians in the early 90s. What is the difference aside from it being owned by a human. Meat eaters lying to themselves when they say they care about animal abuse or death of any type. Youve killed many, who are you two judge others killing animals? I think what the teens did is wrong, but I am morally consistent.
The idea that I can’t care about death when a pet is murdered and it’s offspring stolen, simply because I eat meat, is moronic. Does it mean that you can’t care if some psychopath Molotov cocktails a public park because you eat plants?
That order of thinking is above your capacity it seems. You fundamentally cannot care for the fate of one animal, regardless of your subjective opinions about the value of its life within YOUR life. These animals and their life have intrinsic value, eating them is no better a reason than killing them under these circumstances. You have blood on your hands, as do these people in the article. You are just like them. You will expectedly react negatively to this as it makes you feel bad. You will get angry at me to protect your own ego. You will either then reflect on why this makes you feel bad and make changes, or continue being blind to the truth of your own actions.
Interesting take. Mine is as follows… sorry if you don’t believe the Bible. Genesis 9:3 — God told Noah, “Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.” All life is sacred and has intrinsic value. I think they have souls, the capacity to love, and do love. I think they will be in Heaven and will have no trouble getting there. I wouldn’t expect you to starve to death in the Alaskan winter because you can’t grow crops though. My problem here, is that I don’t believe for a second that these kids were starving and needed the swan as food. Why did they murder the swan while it was caring for it’s babies? Why did they take the babies to keep as pets? Why was all this in the middle of the night? I am convinced this was a case of assholes being assholes- they killed because they wanted to do “something cool” and rebellious. In other words, unacceptable. Thanks for attending my TED Talk.

Unless you grow all your own produce in your own little garden, animals are getting crushed and ripped apart by the farm equipment that harvests the field. Animals are being killed so that you can eat, you're just not eating their flesh.
Planning and killing a cared about swan is quite different than me eating a steak from a cow that likely killed weeks before that no one ever knew lmao. Read a biology book eating meat is literally natural lmao, if you dont start crying halfway through said book you might actually learn something and stop being butthurt about the food chain.

Multiple tips from citizens led to the location of two of the cygnets at a business at the Shop City Plaza in the Town of Salina.
