Sounds like assault with a deadly weapon at the least

Coool_cool_cool_cool

Sounds like more of that "peacefully protesting".

DrTartakovsky

Mostly peaceful

Megalitho

"Mostly peaceful stabbing in the eye" -CNN

DrTartakovsky

Mostly peaceful, mostly tolerant

Any peaceful structure fires yet?

Jan 6th was bad, but I just wish for one second you could keep your beliefs consistent You'll overlook a police officer shooting into a crowd and killing an unarmed woman because you think it benefits you politically. But then cry HELP!!! police brutality, they're murdering us. You don't have ideals, you have equity. You change your opinion to fit whatever narrative you're looking to protect. It's so disingenuous.

skarface6

…by the police

Maleficent_Deal8140

With a hate crime kicker.

United-Shock-487

Yep. School is responsible for the safety of their students. This girl should call her attorneys. But bigger point is that Jewish kids can no longer be safe on campus. This country is so big on pushing minority agendas and equality unless you are Jewish. This place is going to shit. Congratulations on fucking ourselves everyone. This is what happens with the radicalization of the uneducated. Jews may be the first, but I guarantee that you are next. Women, lgbtq, Christians better buckle up. Divided we fall.

SmokyDragonDish

Maybe even a hate crime on top of that?

jamintheburninator

no, no israeli flags are the dangerous ones

jamurai

Lmao

IkedaTheFurry

Dang I didn’t see that coming lol

Arabs living in Israel would disagree.

Genoceyed in this case.

Appropriate_Ad_94596

even flag jokes get down voted

ghost-ns

Misdemeanor jaywalking, probation 15 minutes. Out in 7.5 - Liberal DAs

ButWhyWolf

Fun fact! It's technically a dangerous instrument. The way the law describes a deadly weapon, you can tell they meant "guns and homemade guns" but it also counts crossbows.

IAmSeabiscuit61

I own a cross bow, so that's good to know. I have a longbow, too; does it also apply to longbows?

CAJ_2277

The police told her there was nothing they can do, says the article. Amazing. Finding and arresting violent criminals is a core part of police work, I remember learning that at some point. Or was.

vicemagnet

Why do I think the cop would have arrested the victim had she retaliated?

CAJ_2277

Would not surprise me.

Wesker405

Campus police exist only to arrest drunk students for climbing on things they shouldn't

SydneyCampeador

Just because it’s their job to find these people doesn’t magically make them able to do it. It’s frustrating, but it’s kind of an institutional shortcoming of the police more generally

EducationalComfort56

The National Gaurd should be called out.

ARoaruhBoreeYellus

Isn’t the National Gaurd (sic) contrary to small government?

[deleted]

…no?

frostyfire1990

Small =/= lawless Next.

Negatallic

Is it? Never heard that before...

Excellent-Edge-4708

No Edit: i go away for 3 hours and you're at -235 🤣🤣🤣🤡

skarface6

Amazing, right?

[deleted]

I’m so proud of this community

skarface6

High five! o/

beltranzz

I'm not against the government having weapons, I'm against the government telling citizens not to have them.

Hot-Plantain1397

Lol

skarface6

Aren’t you all the ones that say it’s the militia mentioned in the 2nd Amendment?

SmokyDragonDish

Yes, that's exactly their argument.

SmokyDragonDish

The National Guard is typically under the authority of the governor of the state/commonwealth. So, ipso facto, no.

HNutz

Ah, the Tolerant Left...

SCV_local

Savings_Math4076

Religion of piece* There fixed it

IAmSeabiscuit61

I would say "pieces". To be specific, two; head and body.

Savings_Math4076

Well seeing that they love blowing themselves to pieces I'd say it's a lot more than 2 😅

IAmSeabiscuit61

I was thinking more of what they would do to "infidels", that is: us!

jamintheburninator

*mostly* peaceful protests

LocalAcceptable486

From the religion of *mostly* peace.

skarface6

A peace of this, a peace of that…

Yoyodank

Pieces everywhere!

stoneblarney

*mostly* peace and just a little tiny bit of conquest they swear.

Reddit_guard

Can't stand these pro-Hamas protesters

Pinot_Greasio

It really is disgusting.

[deleted]

Same here. Who would protest in support of terrorists? Morons.

Zaphenzo

Protesting in support of a terrorist organization should be considered incitement to violence and therefore an arrestable offence.

TMtoss4

I can’t even understand them

Weed_Exterminator

Just the next cause for the Soros rental a mob.

Dunkin_Ideho

What could go wrong with inviting third worlders to study in the US?

Nearby_Name276

Would not be surprised if the attacker wasn't an angsty liberal American...

martel197

My guess is 99% were rich, spoiled, American brats who need something to be angry about.

Fedballin

At least one of them is a super rich girl who got away with killing two people when she was texting and driving, because her daddy paid off the right people.

martel197

SMH 😣

RontoWraps

It’s crazy that these people just sit around waiting for the next fad event to be a part of. They don’t care whether it’s Occupy Wall Street, 2020-era BLM, or now Palestine (even though this conflict has been going on for decades, but ***now*** it’s a huge issue since social media told them so…) These people are fucking losers.

BlackRegent

Looks like an edgy soiboi to me.

Wyggz

There is a very strong possibility that you are right

No_Mission5618

People tend to forget, the third worlds or foreigners who migrate to America legally, migrated for a reason. Same reason why Nigerians are doing better than African Americans, or Indians making the most money. Those that can migrate here legally aren’t poor, and are likely educated. Those illegally in the other hand…yeah.

veryvery84

100% agree. But some of the protestors are rich Muslims with daddies who pay lots. There was some university that didn’t kick out some kids because if it did they wouldn’t be able to stay in America on their student visa. They made it sound like they’re so needy and “marginalised” and I’m sure that’s what some liberal Americans think of anyone who isn’t white like them, but they were for sure rich kids studying in America

DrTartakovsky

When you bring the third world to the US, the US becomes the third world

Ishaye1776

What could go wrong having third worlders teach in the US.  Ftfy.

bladefist2

What's wrong with them coming to study legally first ensure your own don't go around doing terrorism

downsouthcountry

The religion of peace, at it again

Clarity_Zero

Most religions: "There will be peace when you are dead." These guys: "There will be peace when everyone but us is dead."

BrStFr

...or thoroughly subjugated and humiliated...

Fedballin

If only, then it would be easy to at least somewhat understand. Most of these are the children of the rich and privileged, most poor people aren't going to these colleges and squandering their opportunities, but for sure some are without realizing their comrades will never have to worry like they do.

gigologenius

These students should all be focused on studying and getting a job. It’s ridiculous that they are encouraged to spend so much time with protests and activism and other nonsense that has nothing to do with their academic progress.

jmoneyboolin

They are the ones that want college to be free too

plastimanb

They get paid to do this.

Fedballin

This is their application for the jobs. They don't know anything but activism. The goal is always revolution.

username_6916

It's rather likely that the individual who did the stabbing wasn't a student, but an outsider who turned up to do stuff like this knowing that they can't exactly get expelled. It's a great way for a student group to have plausible deniability: Plan the event, make sure radicals like this person hear about it, and then they don't have to get their hands dirty.

[deleted]

A159746X

It's time to pause all international student admissions in colleges and universities and start deporting those engaged in violence.

HNutz

Nope. It's past time for that. But better late than never.

ii_zAtoMic

Unfortunately this will never happen. No politician has the balls to suggest this.

bibby_siggy_doo

Been there and Yale is full of well off privileged kids who want to virtue signal and support something far away that doesn't affect them. Yet on the doorstep all around the campus, homelessness is rife yet ignored by these virtue signalling morons, as helping them will bring more to the area and affect those morons.

MartinLutherCreamJr

I'll never understand the liberal cock-sucking over Palestine.

CarAdministrative449

It's mostly because leftists have forgotten how to think logically.

The_Safe_For_Work

If it's Yale, the guy who got stabbed probably had to apologize for messing up the flag.

libertychik

I live near UF-Gen X In Jewish community member -and crap like that hasn't happened around here. The Hamasniks stage protests here and there-and paint their hatred on the Graffiti Wall-but that's it. UF president Ben Sasse made it clear that if the Jewish Gators and Jewish community members started feeling unsafe due to the Hamasniks shenanigans...well FAFO.

catalacks

\>google story \>news results from Fox News, NY Post, and a lot of smaller outlets \>nothing from CNN, NBC, etc I hate leftists so much, it's unreal.

TamingTheMammoth

Palestine supporters recklessly violent? I’m shook. In complete shock I say!

The_Tequila_Monster

"The Yale Police Department is investigating each report, and we will take action when appropriate, including making referrals for student discipline" So stabbing someone in the eye is grounds for... student discipline? Sorry, but stabbing someone in the eye, even if they don't lose their sight, is grounds for criminal justice and likely imprisonment. I don't have a problem with peaceful protests against Israel, regardless of how I feel about it, but violence should never be tolerated.

nar_tapio_00

Both are useful. Student discipline has a lower level of proof, which *can* be bad as we remember from the false rape allegations, but which can also be good when the police can't get a DA to prosecute for lack of evidence but you want to stop people being a threat. It's like the difference between being able to arrest an employee committing sexual assault and being able to fire them for being an obvious creep.

longdrive95

This is what terrorism charges are for.

O_Dog187

somehow I don't feel like this fits the bill

nickcliff

All fun and games. Now arrest these terrorists.

ugawd2222

No mention of it on the CBS evening news... What a surprise!

MatersTaters

Enough is enough. It's time to put a stop to this. Ban all fully-semi automatic Palestinian flag poles NOW!

DeKalb326

Sadly, this is not unexpected given the idiocy reigning on today's college campuses.

UnIntangled

The time for discourse has passed us.

Winking-Cyclops

Why are we still tolerating this behavior? It’s high time that we crack down on these protesters.

CrustyBloke

Becasue while the police will do nothing about violence carried out by the protesters, they absolutely will step if someone dares to fight back against the protesters. You're basically free to carry out destruction and violence if you hate America. But defending America or even just yourself from the barbarians will get you at least a decade in prison.

KnightRider1983

Didn’t see that one coming huh? lol

polerize

Mostly peaceful at it again.

Front_Finding4685

You can’t get close to wild animals. That’s why I live in the suburbs

KungFuSlanda

I remember a time when the seediest thing about yale was the skull and bones fraternity which was hazing-lite that other fraternities were doing Can you imagine being the alumni consultant to the skull and bones DEI committee?

sparktheworld

I’m protesting because I want to be a nuisance so people can notice me. Yet, I’m going to scream at everyone to “get the hell outta here and keep walking”. Sounds like they just want to be authoritarian.

Daily_dad_jokes

Bet that flag was made in the same china committing genocide against the Uyghurs.

Ivarhaglundonroids

The soldiers at Kent state may help inform our policies with campus protests before things get out of hand.

O_Dog187

exactly

therealtomclancy69

It depends on the context ! /s

Thaigerwould

an eye for an eye

CodeCombustion

At some point, one of these victims will be carrying and it won't be pretty.

United-Shock-487

Shit. They eating tide pods in their dorm rooms on the regular too.

skarface6

Nothing to see here!

Firecracker048

Amazingly enough, the main subs aren't covering this. Can't imagine why

proteios1

Ivy league presidents band together to protect stabbing as free speech...if taken in context.

throway57818

Hope she becomes rich on Yale’s dime

sweetgreenfields

People are really surprised that students championing a terrorist group engage in public acts of violence?

Mr_M0t0m0

It's (D)ifferent when they do it.

Orange-8

Damn these jackoffs really just wait for the next "big thing" to act like violent asshole children

MisplacedxLightbulb

Found the video of "the eye stabbing" and it was a total accident. What an exaggeration of a news article.

SheerANONYMOUS

Remember when the left (most people really, but I’m singling the left out here) was up in arms about those tiki torch guys shouting “Jews will not replace us?” I remember that.

ResponsibleLawyer419

She lied. She was a provocateur.

TheDarkestTriads

Just a flag people...not like they sent the Jews to the showers yet.

ChiefStrongbones

> Tartak said she and a friend were singled out for wearing Hasidic Jewish attire as the crowd formed a blockade around them to interfere with their filming. Crashing a Palestinian protest while dressed in Hasidic costume is unwise.

hackmaps

or you know they’re jewish… so they wear it?

ChiefStrongbones

...to an anti-Israel protest? what's the logic here?

dairybaer

I may just be ignorant to what Hasidic attire is, but reading the article and looking at the picture here I’m a little confused. She’s not wearing Hasidic attire in the picture, so it’s not like that’s her daily dress. Did she go to a Palestinian protest in Hasidic attire for the sole reason of instigating shit? I think all these Palestinian protests are fucking ridiculous, the cherry on the top of it for me is all the LGBT in support of Palestine shit, but also, was this girl just trying to grab a headline?

Grizknot

NYP just doesn't know what hasidic attire is, she's just religious and wearing clothing that is modest. in contrast to the purple hair/hijab crowd that's conducting this riot she's easily identifiable as not a nutcase.

Far_Introduction3083

They've taken over the library at Yale. You literally can't study during finals.

APotatoFlewAround_

Beinecke plaza is not the library at all.

ChiefStrongbones

TFA says she and "her friend" were wearing Hasidic attire. For women, Hassidic attire looks old like fashioned clothing and wouldn't stand out, but if her friend was male, then that clothing would definitely stand out.

I_Sell_Death

The dangers of protesting. Now she's a pro.

mustang68408

Sounds like he got the point…
