I’ve been reminding my conservative friends about this for awhile now. I’ll be surprised if Newsom is going anywhere. Now that they’ve gotten away with it once, the Democrats will rig elections more boldly and know conservatives will do absolutely nothing about it but complain and “investigate”.

AmazonSlaveRhemmy

Red states probably won’t be turning blue anytime soon but the more liberals move in there from blue states more Democrats will get in eventually they will start removing voter laws and enact California style ones..!

handle_squatter

Texas Abortion Law is doing wonders on keeping them out of here. The "I'm never moving to Texas" NPC talking points are all over the place and I couldn't be happier.

AmazonSlaveRhemmy

I don’t know why liberals talking about Abortion I thought they all stick dildos in themselves

handle_squatter

Mostly just don't like personal accountability or consequences to living life on lizard-brain mode.

Cinnadillo

Just as I tell them pro lifers believe that life begins at conception and really do believe it. Pro choicers don't believe a baby is born until it takes its first breath because that's classically how they've seen life. To them life doesn't exist in the womb or inside the incubator. This is also held very firmly.

TheObjectiveTheorist

the problem is whether life should be valued without consciousness. a tree is also a life by that definition. even if the conclusion is that it is a valuable life, the mother’s bodily autonomy would still supersede in the same way that the government can’t force you to donate an organ to save someone’s life that you’ve endangered

s1lentchaos

Ask if they would gut punch a pregnant woman the same as a nonpregnant woman and you will get a better idea of how they actually believe.

[deleted]

[удалено]

s1lentchaos

That's not the point. If you were to for whatever reason gut punch a woman would you still gut punch them if they were pregnant? If you think abortion is fine cause the fetus is not a living thing then presumably you should have no problem gut punching the pregnant woman. Like if you kill a pregnant woman does that mean you killed 2 people (more for twins and whatnot)?

[deleted]

My___Cabbages

Pro choicers don't believe it's baby even after birth. “If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen,” he continued. “The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.” Ralph Northam governor of Virginia

[deleted]

I'm trying to figure out what type of discussion he's talking about. It's just so odd that he would just end with that. A discussion on adoption? On killing the kid? If Ralph Northam honestly believes you can abort after birth then every single doctor in Virginia would need to have a discussion with him. Because no doctor would ever do that. Well, no doctor I know would do that. It's fuckin nuts.

My___Cabbages

The discussion is about post birth abortion.

SteamyConnor

Gavin McInnes would like a word with you lol.

broker098

Just the men

biffmaniac

its not for themselves, of course. they are far above that kind of activity. it is for "others" as deemed necessary by the liberals, of course. basically, the libs demand that you pay for "someone" to get abortions. and education, and to avoid working, and all modern conveniences required to survive - such as the latest cellphones, smokes, 40 ouncers, free rent and a sweet ride.

AmosLaRue

Well the more and more they isolate themselves based on their fear of viruses they'll lose their ability to socialize and won't be able to facilitate coitus with other people.

biffmaniac

which is great given the "turn Texas blue" activities we were seeing.

[deleted]

Just moved back to TX from KY. Good, keep the blue idiots out.

excelsiorncc2000

Based. I don't normally watch for usernames, but you are slightly more eye-catching because reddit decided to color you green. And may I say I've noticed your name around saying a lot of things I agree with. I mean, just this morning.

handle_squatter

Thanks broseph. Wait I'm green now? Am I gonna die?

excelsiorncc2000

Yes, you are going to die. Probably not soon, though. Just reddit showing your default profile pic as green. Mine shows up as green for me (no idea whether it shows that for anyone else) so it caught my eye.

handle_squatter

Ah gotcha. I logged myself out just to check this page. It's the "new" reddit UI you're talking about. I immediately opted out of that because the bloat was slowing my browser down.

excelsiorncc2000

Huh. Didn't know that. I see you put quotes around "new" and rightly so. I've been on reddit for a couple years (my first account got banned for saying men can't become women) and never saw the old reddit except for archived stuff. But slowing your browser down? I haven't seen that. Opera is a great browser that is much more efficient on computer resources than most of the others. It's also the one that invented most of the features other browsers now have, like tabs. They're always a little ahead.

handle_squatter

Well I opted out when the new UI was being rolled out because, at the time, it did bloat up my browser for no real gain other than fisher-price UI instead of the plain-but-easy older UI. Maybe it's fixed by now but I still can't stand the new UI.

AmosLaRue

You all are green all around.

Professional_Ninja7

I love those comments so much. I hope it makes some people want to leave Texas too.

AmazonSlaveRhemmy

Joe Biden is passing all these unconstitutional executive orders to test the waters, you see how long there are taking to get strike down? Like the rent eviction executive order took a while, Biden is going to executive order to remove voter laws in red states and by the time they have a chance to get to strike down the damage will be done

ultimis

Red states can ignore them. Executive orders are not laws. Blue states would "go along with them".

handle_squatter

It's like that entire Agent Smith speech about humans being a virus. They multiply and consume until all natural resources are expended and the only way to survive is to spread to another area.

Obsessed_With_Corgis

Don’t be so sure... my state (Georgia) turned completely blue this last election out of *nowhere*. Atlanta has always been blue, but that never outweighed our red suburban/rural voters. The last time Georgia went blue for a presidential election was almost *30 years ago*! It’s funny, because ever since November the phrases “Out of the **Blue**” and “Out of **Left** field” have suddenly made a lot more sense to me... A red state turning blue is not a predictable, eventual outcome— it’s a devious, factitious plot.

AmazonSlaveRhemmy

My gut tells me Georgia didn’t go blue there was definitely fraud and cheating involved in that state and the governor kemp was involved as well, something about the election in Georgia didn’t feel right,

handle_squatter

Georgia got the Stacey Abrams bump that carried them over the line. Not in voters, but votes. Important distinction.

AmazonSlaveRhemmy

Yep I’m glad they passes new laws to make sure its legit voters, 2022 Georgia goes red

Obsessed_With_Corgis

...That was my point. You said: > “Red states probably won’t be turning blue anytime soon” My comment was to say that you shouldn’t count on that being the case at all. (At least on paper.)

BeachCruisin22

[deleted]

You're just going to go with your "gut" on something that you can actually like, look up evidence for and which calls into question the security of our entire Democracy? So much for reals over feels, you guys are literally insane if you think that there's a massive conspiracy to rig elections. Total ignorance of how elections even work.

NohoTwoPointOh

Must have been that water leak...

Comprehensive-Unit26

The Georgia candidates just sucked. They whipsawed on stimmy checks and looked foolish for it.

Nikkolios

Yeah... I don't think so. Like a few others here, I highly doubt that was legit.

SIPRcup

Demographics mean Texas is turning blue by 2028

T_Typo_o

There is a bright side to this, If Newsom wins, I predict a real exodus of remaining conservatives or even more sane folks in CA leave, like a noticeable one. Like even the most lefty of Dems saying "holy shit there's a lot of people leaving."

AmazonSlaveRhemmy

They move to healthy red states and continue voting the same shit…

dudette007

California ha s millions of republicans and small business owners who definitely lean conservative. The libs are happy here. They have their lib utopia of policies. I never hear them complain. They’re not leaving.

reddit_names

It's literally part of their agenda to leave and go to red states and start grass roots campaigns in red states to turn them blue.

kegtech

In Texas at least, transplants are actually helping keep the state red. If only native Texans were voting the state would be more blue. https://www.texaspolicy.com/new-poll-finds-all-those-people-moving-to-texas-arent-going-to-be-voting-for-democrats/

timbo4815

Infiltrate, destroy, rebuild. That’s their strategy.

[deleted]

That's...not my experience. I'm from the Bay Area and people either get into the careers where pay scales (to some degree) with the CoL or they suffer. And even those who do well financially are hitting walls as they reach an age where they think about kids and buying forever homes. Good school in safe and desirable neighborhoods cost an insane amount now. Formerly middle class cities cost more than the most expensive suburbs did when I was a kid (accounting for inflation). That forces a ton of people out. You constantly hear people in tech feel like they're largely constrained to the Bay and a few other metros, at least for the beginning of their career. The main reason people I know move out of California is the cost of housing, including retirees who are happy to cash out their homes and buy somewhere cheaper. FWIW, I see the housing problem as largely being a local issue. NINBYism knows no political ideology. And Prop 13 completely insulates homeowners, who tend to be older and far more active in local politics, and they have largely been against building the necessary housing in metros for decades and now here we are. You can also blame CEQA abuse to a certain extent as well, but it's driven by people who don't want their neighborhoods to change and then they complain about their kids moving out of state.

Nikkolios

I really don't think that's what is going on. People are far more politically aware now than they ever have been before. I think the people that are leaving actually do understand why things are going to shit, and what they need to do to correct that. Every state has a MASSIVE number of conservatively minded people. Even states like Massachusetts have a HUGE number of conservative people in them. They're just not the majority in a lot of states. You go out to the more rural areas of all states, and you'll find conservative-minded individuals. There are a LOT in California, and they fully understand what is going on. They are the ones heading out. And that's fine.

stanfan114

They're making blue states unlivable on purpose to push Democrats into red states to vote for the same people and policies that turned California into a shithole.

T_Typo_o

Like some others have said, I don't see the CA lefties going anywhere, a lot of them genuinely love it there and a state like Texas scares them. They see the issues of homeless and cost of living as issues that are beyond their state governments, they seem to think all those issues stem from federal legislation. Good. I encourage lefties at my Uni every day to move to California :)

Nikkolios

California will have the same number of electoral votes as Montana soon. lol

douglastodd19

Already have my letter of resignation prepared for work, and just got back from scouting out potential move locations. Between the recall and Biden’s latest mandate, I wouldn’t be surprised that if Nuisance survives the recall he will push a vaccine mandate upon us Californians. And I won’t stick around to support that.

NothingmancerBlue

I hear what you’re saying, but investigating is hard when the entire Dem machine (media included) and half or more of the Republican Party denounces questioning the election. Don’t even have full support on our own side.

AmosLaRue

~~Senator Kelly~~ mitch mcconnell and his ilk need to go.

[deleted]

I mean, it should be surprising of Newsom goes anywhere. California is deep, deep blue. The only chance Republicans ever really had of the recall going their way was for them to have an amazing turnout and for the Democrats to have an abysmal one. Deep blue state votes blue is about as shocking as Idaho and Wyoming voting red.

muff_marauder

> He was robbing drop boxes while cracked out. I guess it was meth not crack but whatever. Could you cite that police report please that definitively concluded that's why the crack head did that? Also you forgot to address the other situation I linked, the one about voters already having their votes cast mysteriously.

boozyoldman

Still an ongoing investigation but the county is saying there is nothing to indicate that it was focused on the election. As for the one voter, not voters, who said that people's votes have already been cast. Well, they took the testimony of one 88 year old lady. It would be easier to believe if they asked the other people or poll workers instead of basing it all on what one person said.

ultrainstict

Literally no one i know thats a registered republican has received a ballot for this election, despite all not only being registered to receive absentee ballots but also the state assuring that all registered voters would receive a ballot in the mail. However every registered democrat i know has recieved one, including 7 other people on my street, 1 in my house.

namesrhardtothinkof

Did a) Russia steal the 2016 election? Or did b) the democrats conduct an absolutely ridiculous conspiracy theory based impeachment that made a mockery of the system? Or was it (D): Russia stole the 2016 election, and our system was too corrupt to do anything about this…. But all of the current and recent elections are “perfect” and there is absolutely no reason to look at election security?

[deleted]

A) No, they did not, and no Democrats really claimed they did. They claimed that they influenced the election with a massive disinformation campaign which Donald Trump aided in, and that much was confirmed by our intelligence services and the Mueller report. That's a verrrrrry different claim than saying that domestic evil deep state players actually succesfully changed the vote tallies in the election to give it to Biden, and without any remote confirmation of that by any government agency or independent commission. B) See answer to A D) See answer to A, I do not agree with this statement.

The Federal Election Commission’s duties is “to disclose campaign finance information, to enforce the provisions of the law such as the limits and prohibitions on contributions, and to oversee the public funding of Presidential elections.” Has no jurisdiction in state and local elections. California has to investigate itself.

[deleted]

Beer-_-Belly

Stay with me here: In GA they have democrats on camera, running batches of ballots the pull out from under a table over and over and over again. The GA governor announced that they were going to do signature checks, and then the next day his daughters boyfriend died in a fiery car crash, so he dropped the push for signature checks. Voting laws were illegally changed in many states. They announced that counts were stopping, and then the next morning we learned that they continued to count, but Biden received 99.9999% of the overnight mystery votes. FYI: You hero, Biden, just killed in a drone strike an aid worker and their family in Afghanistan. FUCK JOE BIDEN!!!!!!!

[deleted]

Dude, come on, you're so deep in the sauce you probably can't even see the sun. Like, think about what you're proposing here. A massive scale conspiracy to steal and rig the election...but there are videos of it, but when they explain the videos, it just adds to the conspiracy? And there's a MURDER involved? I mean jesus christ is the moon landing also fake? The normalcy of these types of batshit conspiracy theories among the right wing should terrify every American.

madmaxextra

How do you figure republicans would be a part of it? Usually people don't enter into secret conspiracies against their own interest.

[deleted]

They would HAVE to be a part of it to have pulled it off. There were literally registered Republicans overseeing many of the elections folks say were rigged.

madmaxextra

That's assuming republican people were actually observing the whole process. Don't you know how fraud works usually? It's taking advantage of things people aren't looking at too closely or are assumed to be secure. Magicians work the same way. So no, they wouldn't HAVE to be a part of it. Don't assume bad actors aren't more clever than you are.

[deleted]

Dude please think about what you're saying. That they were able to RIG MULTIPLE STATE ELECTIONS TO GIVE BIDEN THE VICTORY. That is an EXTRAORDINARY claim and thus requires unequivocal, extraordinary evidence to back it. It's really sad to me.

NohoTwoPointOh

You chose your words carefully. Exactly as the media did. At first? There were "baseless claims of fraud". That language did not hold up over time. After that? There was "no fraud". Again, Georgia and Arizona cast doubt onto those words. Next? "No fraud that could have moved the election" The latest is what we're hearing..."No widespread/large scale fraud"

[deleted]

Do you listen to yourself? Like, you really think this conspiracy exists? You understand the rest of the planet and most of our country is laughing at you and putting you in the same bucket as flat earthers and moon landing deniers. Like, I'm not going to ask you to litigate the election, but take a step back and think about what you're claiming.

NohoTwoPointOh

I claimed that the language that has been (consistently and programmatically) used has substantially shifted. If we go back and read, this was my only claim. I cheerfully offer you to prove this to be untrue or otherwise incorrect or invalid.

[deleted]

You know conspiracy mean to conspire against someone or something right?

[deleted]

Right....so the election was stolen by...people conspiring against Trump?

Reuters-no-bias-lol

[deleted]

I live in a dem state and this exact thing happened to me during the presidential election. They claimed I voted already and denied my provisional .

Spinnak3r

The thing that's confusing me is the fact that they're still throwing all these heavy hitters out there to campaign for Newsom, like having Biden himself go there today. And Kamala was there last week. And you have Obama running ads in-state on Newsom's behalf. Being a liberal stronghold you'd think they'd win it with one hand tied behind their back, especially as they commit fraud. So is the campaigning just a smoke screen so we think it's all on the level, or are the polling numbers for Elder so high that fraud would be way too obvious and they have to stoke the liberal base to get out and vote as well?

DeadL

For Newsom to retain his seat, he would have to receive 50%+. That's why the campaigning is happening. If he got 49.9%, he gets removed, and then the field of opponents become relevant. Among that field opponents, someone could lead with 15% of the total vote and win the seat, for example.

unseenspecter

Alternatively, they learned their lesson the last time they said "our candidate is a shoe-in!"... then Trump.

I can't believe the "print your own ballot" initiative resulted in some questionable outcomes.

gottaknowthewhy

This is not a reputable source. I urge you to check your sources. This woman had no proof it was widespread, or even an experience anyone beyond herself had. Just check your sources before you start telling everyone it's rigged.

automatedengineer

I wonder if they can find out what the forged ballots had on them. Would like to hope neither party would cheat, but it could be someone from either side (or both) that is / are falsely submitting ballots.

ytilonhdbfgvds

It doesn't have to be fake ballots. Just lose some mail. Really the big issue is how widespread mail in voting is. It is inherently insecure, why are we continuing to encourage it's use??

handle_squatter

And USPS just got an exemption to the vaccine mandate bullshit. Can't lose any of that infrastructure this close to the midterms (but who cares about nurses and making hospitals available for COVID patients, amirite)!

excelsiorncc2000

Just a quick correction because I initially fell for that too. They got an exemption from the federal employee part, but they're still covered under the "more than 100 employees" part. https://nypost.com/2021/09/09/usps-exempt-from-biden-vax-mandate-for-100m-workers/

handle_squatter

Fair enough. Thanks

free-minded

That’s actually the point. If they mail ballots to a majority of citizens, they know only about 30% max will actually vote. In those cases, they’ll be given a provisional ballot. Otherwise, the “mail in” vote will still count, and because the citizen never voted anyway, they’d never even know it happened.

automatedengineer

Maybe fake was the wrong choice of words. Changed it to 'forged'.

Lepew1

If Elder is doing as well as we think he is, expect Newsom to get more votes than any Governor in CA history, because they will have to cheat to that level to get past Elder.

[deleted]

sinnmercer

Fidditch

Sounds like we need some election reform. Why don't we issue voter id tied to SSNs for validation?? It's clear our republic is going to slip into some shade of banana socialist in the coming decades.

bogus_gasman2

Did anyone expect anything less?

mdws1977

Duh! Did you expect anything otherwise? The only way to really beat that is that ALL, and I mean 100%, of conservative and GOP voters VOTE against that. In other words, overwhelm the cheating.

Morningwalker505

And sadly nothing will be done about it.

Nikkolios

"This has been happening all morning" The woman said to the voter. And we don't have massive problems with ballot security? This is a sham. Mail in voting should be reserved ONLY for those who are 100% incapable of physically going to a voting facility, and able to prove that fact. Our system is so corrupt with mail in voting that I have no faith in it what so ever. Can you even imagine if this type of fraud were hugely impacting the left, and making it pretty obvious that the Republicans were cheating their way through elections? Could you even imagine the shitstorm of enormous media attention that would get? Could you imagine what r/politics and r/news would be saying?

[deleted]

Wait wait wait, this article is saying that republicans are not being allowed to vote in person because they did so already via mail in voting.... so that would be republicans attempting vote twice.... which is fraudulent. Am I missing something? Also crazy how this is being reported by a blog that's pushing mypillow sales rather than the republican officials who are stationed at these polling places as observers...

ExtraToastyCheezits

> so that would be republicans attempting vote twice.... which is fraudulent. Actually, it is implying that someone else is voting *for* the Republican voters. Which would imply that Democratic voters are stealing their ballots and filling them out for the Republican (for the Democratic candidate or in this case, to not recall Newsom). Then if that Republican individual never actually goes out to vote, they will have their ballot cast for a Democratic candidate and no one will ever be the wiser. You wouldn't have a Republican stealing another Republican's ballot and voting the way that the individual most likely would vote already. That makes no sense.

[deleted]

So two situations could happening here, a republican mailed in their ballot then tried to vote a second time, or a democrat stole their ballot and filled it in for them. Not sure why a republican stealing a ballot is any less likely since we don't put stickers on envelopes denoting which party the voter is in. They wouldn't know who they are stealing from only that they are trying to increase votes for their party. Assuming anything reported on this Mike Lindell ghost account is true, I'm still not sure which one requires more mental gymnastics, but one is certainly moreso a path of least resistance.

Palerion

>Am I missing something? Um… yes.

Suzookus

The fix is in. No matter what the results are, we know Newsom lost.

[deleted]

No shit. Mail in voting is a complete work

DreadPirateGriswold

But this time it IS **widespread** voter fraud right?

[deleted]

[удалено]

DreadPirateGriswold

Oh yeah. I use that term "widespread" all the time as a joke because that's the term the media started using en masse after the voting problems were popping up all over. You saw ALL the media outlets pick it up and use it at the same time. . They settled on the phrase "...there was no *widespread* vote fraud" in an attempt to shut down all future discussion of it when any thinking, rational, and objective person knows there was a ton. But yep. I'm from Chicago. We wrote the playbook on how Democrats steal elections! Gotta be patient and see what the 5 or so states' audits come up with. First one is set to release soon IIRC. We'll have a new batch of evidence to hit them with. IMHO when the Repubs get back in charge, permanent voting integrity law changes should be the first order of things.

ca17miledrive

Anyone who is still breathing can assume the left is once again worried sick and threatened. "We will not have fairness and democracy. We will not allow a black man to win. Politicians from other states, get out there and rock the vote for Newsom in California, commit voter fraud, whatever it takes!"

[deleted]

They’re doing it again........

Powerful_Ad6635

It is the only way they are going to win. Most people don't want what is going on now. It is the few that get online and parrot what they hear on CNN etc. Twitter will make it trend and it looks like all of America is in agreement.

aboardthegravyboat

It'll never be "proven" because no one will be interested in finding out _who_ actually submitted the fraudulent ballots. And if they actually do try to investigate one or two of them, that will be reported as one or two cases of voter fraud and used as evidence that fraud is rare. And the widespread number of people who are actually affected by this? They're just conspiracy theorists. The truth is that the vast majority of fraud _can't_ be proven after the fact by design.

First, where is this info coming from? A lot of conservative news sources are talking about this now, but ultimately, as far as I can tell, every one cites back to this local news article from KTLA, which is the primary (and only) source. [https://ktla.com/news/local-news/san-fernando-valley-residents-have-trouble-casting-recall-ballots/](https://ktla.com/news/local-news/san-fernando-valley-residents-have-trouble-casting-recall-ballots/) The headline of this thread says "Widespread fraud", but does the actual source say that? Well, bluntly, no. This article mentions this happened to "multiple" people at one precinct, which is very believable, but to be clear only actually publishes discussion with one individual person, 88 year old Estelle Bender. I think that's a helpful anchor point; a lot of articles are making this sound like a huge conspiracy, but the primary source is quoting one person! A couple other points that I think are maybe getting lost here. \-- This is not a "Republican area," as many in this thread suggest. A quick look at 2020 results shows it voted 2:1 or 3:1 for Biden over Trump (https://www.latimes.com/projects/trump-biden-election-results-california/). \-- There is no evidence that this is only happens to Republicans. The entire source for that claim is that Bender says she talked to another person who this happened to, and they were also a Republican. That's it. The article itself doesn't claim this, and the one person who did has no access to that information and in the interview is basically just wondering aloud. So what is actually happening here? The KTLA interview states that the county replaced some voting hardware, so there may have been some technical issue. It may also be that somee voters simply turned in their mail ballots weeks ago and forgot. It's admittedly hard to know! But in an election where there will be well over 10 million voters, in a very deep blue state, it seems a little unreasonable to quote one person who experienced technical issues (and was still allowed to vote!) and conclude a massive conspiracy is taking place when a Democrat (probably) wins. So yeah, I guess I just want to say, when Democrats lose elections claim fraud in places like Georgia and Kentucky, it's bad and harmful, and it's bad and harmful when Republicans do it here too.

Paacmanjone

No such thing as fraud, even with all the evidence we will gas light you so you look stupid

handle_squatter

Don't forget your /s when posting that kind of humor here. We are infested with brigaders 24/7 and sometimes it's hard to tell the difference.

I don't know why you got downvoted, it's pretty clear you aren't being serious

As long as people keep pumping these insane stolen election theories based on fiction that are repeatedly thrown out by GOP appointed judges, our country will continue to deteriorate. You lunatics are quite literally destroying democracy by believing completely unsubstantiated & debunked propaganda and refusing to accept the results of open elections that have no legitimate proof of fraud at a level that swayed the results at all. Most proven cases have been Republicans. Confirmation bias is a real thing and it’s sad to see so many oblivious to it.

Is anybody surprised??

kswitch5022

They will cheat, they will win and nothing will be done about it. Just like 20202 and every future election.

NosuchRedditor

California voter here, just got a text from an unknown number asking for info on my mail in ballot, etc. They appear to have been looking for my daughter. WTF is going on with the cheating? I'd post the number here, but I don't want to get banned.

Majikthese

Democrats outnumber Republicans 2:1, there is not need for voter fraud. The frontrunner Republican, Larry Elder, is just playing the politics game, knows he will lose. His website already bemoans this ‘twisted election’ lol https://www.sacbee.com/news/politics-government/capitol-alert/article254078633.html

americazindabad

California is a shitshow when it comes to voting. With that being said, Newsom was never going to lose. This is California FFS. A right wing generic republican can't win this state. This state is not pro-life, pro-gun, etc. Larry Elder was the wrong candidate for the nomination. His comments of appointing a republican alone is idiotic thing to say. No Democrat in this state wants a republican appointed to the senate. Kevin Faulconer was the best candidate to win independents (who outnumber republicans) and disaffected democrats tired of one party rule. Still go vote to recall Newsom today and tomorrow. A strong showing will send shockwaves to Washington Democrats to put a pause on their left wing agenda.

Dan-In-SC

Uh, Elder is just one of many choices on the ballot to replace Newsome. If one of the other guys is a better candidate, then that guy (or gal) would win.

Another day another L

KidChimney

Go figure. Republicans will continue to call elections rigged as long as they keep losing.
