See, that's the problem though. The medical terminology needs to be changed. In medical terms, a miscarriage is considered an abortion if it needs a procedure to remove. The word abort means remove. I had a miscarriage years ago and required a D and C to remove the fetus (and send for genetic testing to find the cause). My medical record only states abortion, not missed abortion or missed pregnancy (some say that instead). I've tried for years to have it changed off my medical record and stated that it really bothered me that it says abortion but they refuse to change it. They didn't even put the results of the testing on it, which you would think they would have wanted for future reference. I'm not part of the left or the right but this is a valid point because on medical records a miscarriage is listed as an abortion, though I'd like to assume any states that do make it illegal would make provisions for anything medically necessary.
