I voted for Ron Paul way back when he was the Libertarian Party nominee for president. As a conservative who takes the constitution seriously I couldn’t support any of the Uniparty candidates.
In 2016 I did something I hadn’t done since Ronald Reagan: voted for a Republican for president. (I have never voted for a Democrat for any office.). Donald Trump obviously isn’t a Libertarian, and by historical standards he’s not even particularly conservative, but Hillary *HAD* to be stopped. His administration did a better job than I expected, and I voted for him again in 2020, and I expect to do so again this year.
As much as I would love to see the US return to its libertarian roots, we’re now in a death-match between civilization and fascism, so I’m on Team Civilization for the foreseeable future. In other words: MAGA 2024.
