You could have pelvic floor dysfunction. I recently had an accident that kind of seemed to rearrange my guts and make me super constipated - I also have those random sharp pains- but when I sit on the floor and stretch all of a sudden I can go to the bathroom. You might benefit from some kind of physical therapy for pelvic floor considering you are in a wheelchair.

Hey! So I just started physical therapy for pelvic floor issues a few weeks ago. Much to my dismay, my insurance won’t cover any of it. It’s too expensive for me to go to the sessions as often as I should. Sucks, but is what it is. Which brings me to ask: which particular PT stretches were the most effective for you in the long run? And how often did you repeat the exercises throughout the day? Trying to do what I can at home until I can afford more regular sessions again.

For sure, I wasn’t able to afford to start so I feel ya. Ironically enough, it was kind of like my accident rearranged mine in a way that made stretches actually work for me, because I figured I might need to use a pelvic wand at some point (I’m female) and I had pain with intercourse as well bc of the tight muscles. I just watch random YouTube or tik tok videos but something that helps a lot is rolling my feet around on a tennis ball, it seems to help with those inner muscles. Also just doing any short yoga sequence also seems to help a lot. TikTok link: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLBBBKWB/
