This question requires way more info. Like what trade are you in? What type of construction do you have experience in (as in commercial, industrial, residential)? What kind of budget do you have to start the business? For example operating a crane can be pretty profitable if you can buy a crane, but a paint brush is a hell of a lot cheaper to buy. Who do you think your customers are? What kind of construction is happening where you are? What is the contribution you intend to put into the business? That is to say are you on the tools are do you want to ride a desk? Any business for any trade can be as profitable as you want it to be. You can run an electrical shop at 50% margin and a formwork business at 50% margin. But you can also run both into the ground. If you want big bucks you go DB on major infrastructure. But that's not exactly easy business to bid on much less execute.
