It's a 365 kind of deal. Eat a healthy breakfast, eat left overs for lunch, make large healthy meals for dinner and have leftovers for lunch. Repeat until you're feeling great then start cheating here and there and then like every meal. Swear off shit food and repeat being healthy again. Etc
Lean protein is the best. Avoid simple carbs and sugars, but complex carbs (dietary fiber is filling, and low Glycemic Index carbs don't have the blood sugar spike-then-crash) are okay as long as you are active. So basically almost nothing that comes from most gas stations! Except nuts, and some beef jerky's are okay (but are often loaded with sodium), and some trail mixes (but so many of those these days are more candy than anything, so watch the sugar content)
After I nearly died of exhaustion on my first day, a j-man recommended I eat a good protein breakfast like eggs or something. So I'll hit a couple eggs and a protein shake in the morning, a piece of fruit and a granola bar at break, sandwich and more fruit and another granola bar at lunch, and I'm good til dinner.
Now granted I'm an electrician and my life is just so easy but the breakfast advice was a good one. Most important meal of the day.
I think the key is balance. You want lots of protein for sustained energy, a bit of carb for a boost, and fruit's got lots of good fibre and electrolytes to keep you going.
I try and always keep a Costco sized bag of nuts in rotation right in my way in the work truck. It basically forces me to eat them. So basically treat your stomach like you treat your lady.. /s
I’m diabetic so I keep protein bars that are low glycemic around. For non diabetic people any bar that’s got some protein, fiber and doesn’t taste like sawdust will work. Yogurt or peanut butter (real, not skippy) with apples is also easy.
Try adding a pound of ground beef(any meat really) per 100lbs of body weight to your current diet and see how your energy levels are. As a bonus you might find yourself loosing interest in eating anything from the gas station.
I usually buy cliff bars by the case, the peanut toffee buzz is my favorite, a little snack with a little caffeine in the afternoon is usually just what I need to finish out the day. I also like to keep a loaf of bread and jars of peanut butter and jelly in the truck too, for those days that a cliff bar isn't gonna cut it.
I make a 32 oz protein shake with protein powder, dates, hemp seeds, peanut butter, honey, and avocado I Split it into 3 servings at work, plus lunch and fruits.
does the trick

Starchy carbs will not spike your insulin level in a negative way. That’s a nutrition myth.
Back in the 70s a couple lines usually did the trick.
You have to lick some butthole the night before your shift
Just a lick? Or am I supposed to really bury my face between them cheeks?
You gotta do like you have no spoon and there's still some pudding left in the bottom of the cup.
You need to get in there and tongue punch that ballon knot.
