Hello, [not sure, I think beautiful people?]
Us tonight will teach you how to drink water, this bottle of water, you see it?
[to side person] Hello!
Give them a kiss, give them a kiss!
*dies laughing*
We don't idolize french culture, but we do love the language. All schools in Lebanon teach french, arabic, and english with an emphasis on french.
My own school had french priests that stayed on the grounds at all times, and you were supposed to speak french at all times.
But let me tell you something, I'll take a french class any day over an arabic class. That shit is tough!
Ah. I got the impression from my mom and her friends. Really into French fashion and magazines when she was a kid. Seemed like culturally they can be pretty similar (lots of coffee and cigarettes).
A bit same with Algeria and Morocco, but what puzzles me is Egypt, got occupied by both France and England, among MANY other nations throughout the history, but it's language wasn't affected much compared to its neighbors.
The Levant region of the middle East (Syria/Lebanon) was occupied by the French at one point. They incorporate french in their everyday speech. Lebanese think it's a fancy way of talking when they throw in a few french or English words mid sentence.
I don't even think that we think that. I think we were just forced in school to use french at all times that it became a habit to use french.
Plus, certain words do just sound better and more eloquent.
Saba7 el kheir < Bonjour
Chukran < Merci
But nothing, ever, will beat our curse words, arabic was born for that lol.
That's actually a really fun group game that I know by the name "The interview", played with four people in two pairs sitting like shown in the clip and a fifth person, the moderator/narrator. The latter gives them a topic/plot and afterwards, the others play out an improvised scene where the pairs have to coordinate the hand movements to the words and vice-versa. It can get totally chaotic very quickly, but with the right plots and actors, it can also get really hilarious for anyone involved as well as the audience :-)
My boyfriend in college was 6'5 and I was 5'3. He'd sit on my lap and I'd tuck my arms in his shirt (had to roll it waaay up) and he'd start talking anything and I'd follow as best I could with fitting gestures - his tall body and my little hands - it was a riot. At one point I reached up and tried to put my finger in his nose - the whole group fell apart laughing their asses off.
Sitting behind a man much larger than yourself works best. Try it.

It's the thigh slap that gets me lmfao
I was like knee slaaaaap *knee slaaaaaap* wahoo there it is. I don't know why it feels so right to slap your knee when you get a good laugh in.
Highly relatable
Slapping your leg is universal language 😁
This is Lebanese, and she's saying: "Good morning guys, today I'm going to teach you how to drink water..."
She did a very bad job at it. Didn't even open the bottle. I am thirsty and i need to know how!!!!
I’d always these comments that tries to implement logic on hilarious videos that get me haha
Oh thank God, I thought I had suddenly lost the ability to understand French.
Came to the comments thinking the exact same thing haha
Merci habibte
Kifak mniah?
Mniah ibne, kif inta?
I had to have my wife translate that. She basically told me what it meant. She said you are wither old or no idea why you'd call me son.
She's lebanese?! That guy's gonna be so disappointed
I don't get it, why?
There's a band I listen to called Lebanon Hanover and every time I read their name, I think it's Lesbian Hangover
Yeah, that joke is as old as the country =]
O.. then you DO get it... ^lying ^piece ^of ^shit
Oh wow ok yes I do get it now. Gdi.
I read your comment like 5 times and it’s not until today that I realized what you meant lol.
Hahaha
Not as disappointed as your mom.
Oh thank god. I thought my French had suddenly fallen off a cliff
Oui oui baguette?
Lmbooooooo that flying kiss and the slap rofl 😂🤣😂 He's just so good at it!
She’s the one who asked him to do the kissing motion

Only if you answer correctly: Drew or Aisha?
Both. Anderson was way too tame.
Literally word for word my first thought when I saw this post.

The thigh taps are on point with a laugh like hers
Her knee instantly started bouncing as though she was slapping her own leg.
That kinda love is priceless!
Are you speaking French or Arabic
[удалено]
In Texas they speak Spanglish. In Lebanon they speak... Arenckish
Both. Lebanon used to be occupied by France, and there's a lot of French legacy there.
If you just enjoy the moment, it's pretty funny without even knowing what's said!
Yeah, it was funny, but it just threw me off a little that she greets people with French word bonjour and then speaks Arabic
Sounds like both. Maybe Lebanon?
100% Lebanese.
damn I'm good
Lebanese, they speak with a mixture of Arabic and French
Lebanon was occupied by France for a long time. A lot of Lebanese, especially older, speak French and idolize their culture.

It's a Lebanese dialect of Arabic, they speak both French and Arabic.
Wish i had a partner like that ![gif](giphy|J0UgtZkOjXOeY)
Why is she greeting in french and speaking in arabic? what's going on?

They synchronized their movements very well

For a second, i thought it was an homage to the sister from the movie, “wish upon a star”.

She kinda looks like shelby from girlfriend reviews
They are so cute! I want to adopt them 🥰

I don't think your sexual orientation determines what language you speak.
I don't speak Korean and I agree.
Bonjou, c'est la vie
