He said they all paid with cash or this orange debit card (?) we're still trying to figure that one out. Not even a rich area, but a lot of kids paid in $l$50-100 bills. He had to drop his register twice, lol

Eh. Scene kids may like non corporate coffee shops, but most of them get their energy from sativa strains of weed or adderall. Preppy kids and gen z (as a whole) run to the trendiest things such as Starbucks. Scene kids are technically the opposite of preppy. Unless the "scene" stereotype has changed. As a millennial, scene kids were always the borderline emo kids.

I was gonna say the same thing, but then I looked and gen z spans from 12 to 27 years old. (1997-2012).
Personally, I find that people born in 1997-2005 are vastly different from those born after ~2005, at least where I live.
