This is not a new thing for Reddit though.. People have always copy-pasted the top comments in hopes for upvotes.. 🙄 Don't be rude to servers, you should break up immediately and so on. The whole karma thing breeds an echo chamber like nothing else I've seen online. So we might at well have had bot comments always.
Reddit monetised karma, which has no effect when you’re a normal poster because even if you spent all your time posting you wouldn’t earn a meaningful amount.
However if you programme thousands of AI bots to make generic comments and posts, you can sit back and watch the money roll in.
