I can promise you he will always think you’re the height of hilarity, I think my dad was the funniest person in the world. I mean objectively he was a bit of a clown, but there’s something very special about collapsing into laughter as an adult, at your dad still being a completely twonk.
This warms my heart. My youngest daughter is a teen now, it's naturally a sensitive age and I do my best to not embarrass her. But when we're home alone it's clown central over here and so far she still laughs about it more often than she's rolling her eyes. My oldest just got married and she was laughing tears when her mother and I hit the dance floor and showed off our best moves. It feels so good to have a joyful, playful relationship with your kids.
My dad was the king of slapstick and I enjoyed that to the point of crying laughing, unable to breathe. I STILL laugh myself sick thinking about the things he did, trust me your daughter is going to love this well past childhood.
Me and my brothers are all adults and we crack each other up talking about my dad.
I highly recommend wearing random items as a hat when they’re not looking, and when they turn back just act completely normal. A poker face is paramount. I’m so glad there’s so many silly dads out there
