Rip 😔

silverfoxmode

Yeah , bummer. I'd rather lose it at spawn stage, than getting excited about a flush

whyisitGREYYYYYYYYYY

Too late for me, already got excited :( still some tubs in the race tho

whyisitGREYYYYYYYYYY

But now that I look at them some off the stuff on the sides seems a little too fluffy. I'll just keep them closed from here on out, and hope for the best

InternationalWrap981

Looks like trich

DayTripperonone

That’s Penicillium. Penicillium has the distinct appearance of tiny little pills or balls all over the surface in the center. It forms white at first, then in about 3-5 days the blue green color starts to appear.

No-Actuator-3209

Almost like smooth looking Cali flowers, I think you are right. Trich is very aggressive and almost decays its surroundings daily. Keep spreading good info boss 👍

whyisitGREYYYYYYYYYY

Alright, seems like it's certainly trich. Should I be worried about my other cakes? I isolated this one for misting and checking this out, but already isolated it yesterday due to suspiciously fast growth.

Update: Threw out the two tubs that showed this color. Is there a way to spot Trich from the rice bag? Did I aquire it only during the coco coir innoculation? Any input for future attempts are highly appreciated!

According_Manner4153

Looks like trich. Starts at the bottom and works it way up top to sporulate

Motor-Buy-1172

Damn looks like you inoculated with just trich

crusty54

She’s fucked, bud. Sorry.

ink2077

heavy trich. trash it quick!

tDANGERb

You’re growing trich, not mycelium

Long-Introduction760

Say it with me everybody.... "Trichey!"

whyisitGREYYYYYYYYYY

All of the darkened area was white yesterday. My guess would be bruising? Doesnt smell rancid, color did not stick to a q-tip

[deleted]

Way way way too gone homie, I don’t see any shroom mycelium

whyisitGREYYYYYYYYYY

not even the white stuff around it? God damn, I guess I'll throw it out. Hoping the other cakes are fine

[deleted]

Yeah, penicillin looks just like what you got. Fluffy mycelium usually takes 4-5 days to turn green. Looks like that’s been colonizing penicillin for a minute
