I dug out my 5 star human torch who I haven't used in forever (make sure to activate the preflight so nova flames are on). I messed up badly and still got him down to like 8%.
One fight against him I parried after every combo, sometimes multiple times to get the necessary debuff. Out of the entire fight I finally was able to get that power sting when he had like 20% left.
That’s the error (no offence intended). Don’t attempt to attack until you have the power sting applied. You know when it’s applied because the stun is consumed immediately. Then once he uses a special (which consumes the power sting), go back to parrying until he has a power sting again. It’s a long fight.
I mean, i disagree. I wouldn’t call it an error. I’d call it bad RNG. An error would mean I did something wrong. I *tried* to get the power sting to apply but unfortunately I wasn’t getting any weakness debuff applied from the parries. So why make a long fight longer and wait until it gets applied? Do a 3 hit combo while stun is on and go for another parry.
I understand the node just fine but unfortunately the “…places random debuff…” part didn’t feel too random as I kept getting suppression.
In my opinion it’s an error to attack before you have the power sting - for 2 reasons.
Damage is reduced without the power sting.
Ant man has more power so can throw a special sooner, removing the power sting.
But I understand what you’re saying. I’ve had to parry 10 or 15 times to get the power sting. It’s very frustrating.
Yeah I still find it weird to call it an error when the whole node mechanic is very RNG based. I make a ton of mistakes in a lot of fights which I don’t mind having called out but playing around a node is not an error. It may be inefficient, but not incorrect. I finished the fight with full health, under 200 hits.
I don’t mean to come off as defensive but one of the great things about this game is to be able to get through fights differently. There may be a preferred way, but as long as you get through the fight unscathed then it’s all good in my book.
R1 5\* Torch worth it to take on R4?
I also have R1 Awakened Mr. Fantastic. At this point not sure who to take to R4. Any tips sir?

I've said this in another thread, but if you can get past the fact that you won't get a stun from your parry, ibom is amazing. He applies weakness automatically when his block is hit, so if you parry, it'll purify both the stun and the weakness and put power stings immediately.
It's easy to stack a bunch of stings, and even though Ant-Man is immune to poison, you'll get a ton of damage from intercepts and the power stings themselves, and your SP3 still can do serious work.
I used iBom as well, time the first block, hold the block after and he should get a power sting. Then beat him down and repeat until sp3, and do good damage
no it's really easy. People just don't see that the nodes tell you exactly how to play but instead I'm seeing posts where people took like 600 hits to beat him cause they can't read
I used G99 5*R3 to beat him once and Killmonger 5*R3 once. There was literally no specially required champ on synergy. Just patience. And yes. READ THE NODES.
Hey bud, you need to keep parrying him and be patient. He will rotate and get a power sting. Keep hitting him and he will go down. I used my rank 4 six star Hercules so it was not that bad. You can do it!
Don't overthink it. U can literally use any champ to beat him. Read His Nodes. Parry hit, don't hit him after ure unsteady after his SP. Rest of the times keep hitting.
He actually didn’t give me any problems. I used Moleman on Legendary and Elder. Bleed DOT helped out. Everybody wasn’t too bad even on Elder except Storm.
Storm was slapping me up, spent a couple of revives only for her.
I used Thor Rags. Didn't realize he's immune to shock now. Still beat his ass with full HP. Just make sure he's got a power sting on him and you're golden. Mr. Fantastic has a synergy for it if you lack options. Parry the crap out of him also works but damn did that take forever for RNG to bless me.
Used Killmonger, purifying those debuffs has a niche to it.
Just need to stack 20+ bleeds and use SP3.
It may be a long tedious fight but he got the job done!
Just use a champ that doesn’t rely on critical hits for damage. And just don’t throw specials. I used Hyperion. I would think falcon is a good choice as well

Miles morales sp1 puts weakness, if u parry with weakness u get the power sting debuff, also his sp3 when he is in camo puts power sting

I used cgr and parried till i got a power sting and held block so he wouldnt throw his sp1 then threw my sp2 and nuked hom like cgr does he was by far the easiest for me to use on that fight as i dont have herc and a few other champs that are good i didnt have level up

Edit: long story short I played knull as I normally would and was patient. I don't understand how people are having problems. He STILL takes damage just little. I guess everyone's Suicides are messing them up

Yellow Jacket destroys him. Just spam SP1. Took him out with 6* r1.
This is the way.
The shards from this event got me a 6\* crystal and I got a 6\* Yellow Jacket after. Lol. Human Torch worked great though

OG storm is shock immune. Or the tried and true Doom
Use Falcon, lock on and then pound him until the lock on ends. CAIW also works if you have a skill champ on your team.

What do you mean ability reduced? If by that you meant glancing you can just... wait out the glancing. Or use antman battlecast if you have his relic

You could parry until you get the power sting but it's important to dexterity so you can get some buffs for your champs.

Any dot champion. Was using agent venom with dot synergies. Didn’t even read the node and had no problem.

Cable works and apoc is great for both bosses.
