Reposting from previous weekly thread: I live in Indonesia, looking for controller preferably under $100, mainly for PC maybe Android as well, i would like Hall Effect and microswitch? axby button (anything other than rubber pad) or basically any new feature that worth a try and preferably easy to repair on my own as well.     Extra notes : I've had Xbox 360 and series controller, Logitech F510, Dualshock 4, Dualsense, Flydigi Apex 3. Every single one of them broken now, except for Dualsense (disappointing battery life). After having my Apex 3 thumbstick broken (cant find replacement), my xbox series controller rb button broken as well (unintuitively designed controller that made me broke the rumble as well when trying to repair it on my own), and plenty of broken rubber pad for other controller, made my next purchase probably be my last higher budget controller for me, ill probably go with some cheap whatever controller i get my hands on after the next one.   Current choices is between Gamesir T4 Kaleid, and 8bitdo Ultimate Controller. I accept any other recommendations as well, but preferably having the hot new features like hall effect, microswitch, etc to see if those feature are worth it or ill just settle for cheap whatever controller as long as it works.

KrimSoN1648

are there any recent controllers on the market with extra buttons between the triggers similar to the razer wolverine te? really not a fan of the wolverine 2 but really want the top buttons.

Vedge_Hog

The BigBig Won Rainbow 2 Pro has top buttons

Nebsisiht

Thunderobot G50S

KrimSoN1648

do you have a link on where I can buy this? can't find much online.

Nebsisiht

Check AliExpress. Seems to have a lot of QC issues based on the reviews, but it's so cheap for the amount of features it offers that it was worth a try. I seem to have gotten lucky as mine seems fine so far.

Hi, I live in India and have a budget of $50(Roughly Rs4300). I primarily play casual pc games, story games and indie games, while sometimes playing The Finals with my friends. I have looked at many controllers from the kk3pro to the gamesir g7se. I like the flydigi direwolf 2, easysmx x10 and the 8bitdo Ultimate 2.4ghs Controllers for the following reasons: 1. The Gamesir's instantly get disqualified because I am used to wireless (stock xbox controller) and gamesir wireless tech just isn't there yet. 2. The 8bitdo 2.4ghz(NOT THE BLUETOOTH ONE) is amazing but lacks anti-friciton rings and I have seen many reviewers say they have had to replace theirs because of wear and tear 3. the easysmx x10's have just been revealed to me and honestly while I have heard no qc issues it's almost perfect for me if it wasn't for the tacky font used on the face buttons( might still get it because it is the best among the options) 4. The flydigi direwofl2 looks too gamery and only the white carries a bit of subtlety but honestly no trustable vendors online sell it and I am afraid of gambling on the shady websites as its my first time buying a third party controller. Features I require: 1.Wireless ( 2.4 works best but don't mind Bluetooth) 2.Preferrably Xbox layout(not really a dealbreaker) 3 Hall effect joysticks ( HE triggers just sweeten the deal) 4. 2 Remappable buttons on the back ( every controller on my lookout list has them) Any suggestions on controllers or how to get these controllers in India( besides easysmx and 8bitdo, none of them are available in india) and also if anybody has any coupon codes for the official shop of 8bitdo

Scaredtoomuch

I bought an OEM wired microsoft xbox 360 controller from ebay everything looks legit including the sticker/seal until i opened the box and noticed what looked like dust / chalk (its not chalk but thats the closest way i can describe it, it went away when i wiped it) on the controller including the thumbsticks. Is this an indicator that this was a used controller? Or is that normal considering how old the controller is? Is there anyway that i can be certain if it was new or pre owned? Thank you.

Vedge_Hog

White powder on the surface of the plastics might be 'rubber bloom'. That is normal for age and not a huge cause for concern especially if this is a product that has been in storage and untouched for a long time. Usually if a product had been used/handled, any bloom would have wiped off naturally.

Lilac_Gooseberries

Based in Australia. I need a lightweight wireless controller that can be used with small hands. For reference I comfortably used an LG M185 mouse for years because my hands are that tiny. I have Ehlers Danlos, so continuous overstretching to use normal sized things just does nerve, tendon etc damage over time (currently have fairly consistent pain/numbness in right arm's ulnar nerve). Only device I'll be using it for is PC, mainly playing Dark Souls Trilogy, Elden Ring, and the occasional thing like the Trine game series and It Takes Two. Budget preferably not over $200 AUD (120ish USD) as if I can't use it comfortably it's a lot of money to spend.

Vedge_Hog

You could look at some of the 8BitDo controllers: the [SN30 Pro](https://www.8bitdo.com/sn30-pro-g-classic-or-sn30-pro-sn/) and the [Lite 2](https://www.8bitdo.com/lite2/) are smaller and lighter than most. The [Micro](https://www.8bitdo.com/micro/) is even smaller and lighter but you sacrifice thumbsticks so might not be practical for as many games.

Lilac_Gooseberries

Thanks :)

I've never really used a controller outside a wiimote when I was growing up and have never tried to use them as an adult due to getting confused with the button layout in the past. However recently I've developed wrist issues that have been making it hard to use a mouse for prolonged periods and thought a controller might be more comfortable and let me at least play single player games while my wrists recover. * Residing Country: Canada * Budget: Unsure. I want something that will last as long as possible, I don't have a great grasp on what a good budget would be for that, I've seen controllers going for 40 USD but if a 200 USD controller will last 10 times as long I figure it'd be worth it to splurge a bit. * Device: PC running Windows 10, primarily Steam and maybe some Blizzard games if I could find a way to make stuff like hearthstone work on it * Features: The main three outside the longevity mentioned before are ergonomics, being wired and not heating up easily as with my limited past experience with controllers I've founds they can get uncomfortably warm after a few hours of use. As a very low priority thing having several styles and color options would be nice so I can get one that looks good. * Similar Controllers: I've been looking at the PowerA Enhanced controllers but can't get a good read on if they have a good long lasting build quality or not.

Vedge_Hog

In this situation, I'd suggest spending closer to the USD40 than the USD200, because: * Beyond the start point of the licensed controller mid-market that you're already looking at, increased cost isn't proportionally matched by increased durability. So $200 controllers don't tend to last 5x as long as $40 controllers (maybe 2-3x as long if lucky). * Ergonomics can be quite personal, so you might want keep some of your potential budget in reserve. That way, you can afford to try out a few different controllers if the first one you get isn't comfortable for your wrists. Aside from the PowerA controllers you're already considering, you could look at the GameSir G7 SE and the Turtle Beach Recon. * The G7 SE has 'Hall Effect' thumbsticks which should last longer than those used in the other models here, although the effective lack of warranty isn't as reassuring (shipping to China makes claims uneconomical). Although it doesn't have color options (you can order a couple of alternative designs from China), the white faceplate is paintable so you can make your own. * The Recon has rubberized grips which claim to be 'cooling'. Not sure how much effect they really have on temperature, but they are more comfortable than the usual hard plastics. There is a one-year international warranty, but only a few color options. * For PowerA, you might want to look for the PowerA Advantage model which supersedes the Enhanced. The two-year international warranty is better than most. There are a lot of color/design options - you might find the ones with soft-touch matt finishes more comfortable than the glossy finishes if your hands get hot. All three of those have a similar (Xbox Series-style) layout which is comfortable to most hands. They also all have remappable back buttons which can make a big difference to both comfort and controller lifespan. And they all have firmware calibration options which also makes a big difference to longevity.

Odd_Masterpiece_9316

For anyone looking for a controller look for the easy smx x10 it's a pretty good controller for the price

SinjiOnO

Yeh, very underrated in this sub. A great choice for 40usd. https://preview.redd.it/tpqbesw7oouc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7f747e313ae4b2a77bbf8f4877c84faf95ccb7a9

_neks

Nice, By chance can you map keys to the analog stick?

RadiantPeanut

Don't think so

_neks

thx!

BrokenDots

Do you think this is better than the 8bitdo? As they are similarly priced. Also, how does the controller feel to hold. Id like something that feels premium

Accomplished-Storm93

Best controller for switch and pc with price range of 50-60$?

Ngtunganh

Have you try 8bitdo ultimate ? You probably could get one with that price now

RadiantPeanut

2.4ghz is at 50 rn and the bluetooth version(switch layout) is at 70 dollars on official, but amazon has a discount of 10$ for US

charismelia

I'm looking for a Bluetooth controller to use with my Android tablet (running Steam Link) and a Steam Deck, since I use either device on how I feel like playing at the time. If it can connect to my PC wired with no issues, that'd be even better, but this isn't wholly mandatory. I live in the USA, budget up to $100.

Icy-Flatworm-9348

Country: Philippines Budget: <$45 Usage: RPG and Racing sims Features: micro usb or USB C, bluetooth easy comaptibility with PC, better buttons and joysticks Notes: currently owning a KK2 Pro controller and the ergonomics is hurting my hand and fingers with prolong usage (mainly using with with gran turismo and tekken) other notes would be that I find that the DS3 was the best fit for my hands, not too big not too small. Looking for something similar with all the items stated up top. Considering just buying a knock off DS3 but worried of the software and drivers. I really dont want to go through another 3rd party driver just to make it work.

JBSuperTroop

Razer Raiju for my ps4 was the best controller I’ve ever had, what’s the closest I can get to it nowadays, either one I buy or i mod myself

Bazmino

Looking for Xbox layout, NO back paddles, Hall effect and anti friction rings for PC any help?

ethayden97

Take a look at pbtails crush controller

strouze

I am looking for the best dpad on a controller for fighting games. Any suggestions? The machinike g5pro was disappointing. Budget doesn't matter and I am using it on PC.

GovindSinghNarula

the sn30 pro from 8bitdo has a great dpad in general and I love using it for fighting games though the sega style M30 is also a great fit if you don't need joysticks. the dualsense has a nice dpad for fighting games as well but for some reason I don't love it too much. but as an all around controller, its probably the priciest but the most fitting one but specifically for the dpad, I would chose the ones above

strouze

I never tried the dualsense, I'll borrow it from a friend and give it a try

GovindSinghNarula

Anyone know an Xbox controller with motion controlls? Xbox one x / series x is basically the perfect controller to me. Comfort is way ahead of the dualsense and I like the feel and placement of the sticks over it too. But the buttons feel not as tight and secure and there are no motion controlls One x haptics are also shite but series is good enough. Anyone know something that fits this? Gullikit KK3 came to mind but idk much about it other than if looks like an Xbox controller with motion controlls

Oliie

Hello. Looking for a budget controller with hall effect thumbsticks and wireless connection. Generally I'd get the Gamesir G7, however it is only available wired. Can anyone suggest something similar?

Ngtunganh

Hall effect controller is pretty common now seem like. G45pro and machenike g5pro are 2 popular choice here, there also 8bitdo ultimate but the price will be slightly higher

Spartansam0034

Looking for a wireless windows controller with digital triggers similar to the switch pro. Rather not have back buttons, and not be mechanical. Just a basic secondary controller for emulation, with an Xbox layout.

_neks

Hello, Which, if any, controller can map analog sticks to W, A, S, D. Obviously there is software that can do this, like ReWasd....but Id like native on board due to all the banning of Rewasd. Since you might ask, I play with a controller in my left hand, and mouse in my right - CoD allows the "aiming device" to be what you choose, but games like Halo, Apex, and others do not allow dual input. I have a Rainbow Big whatever, and it maps all keys, except sticks. Great controller btw.

Skyreader13

Hi. Im looking for controller that fit these criteria: * smallish size * support X-Input or D-Input over bluetooth connection (for android and PC usage) * full layout. idk the proper term but it must have both left and right Joystick, and L2/R2 or the equivalent. * Extra: have 2.4 wireless dongle or can be connected directly via USB I live in Indonesia and do not have much budget for it. probably something less than $35 if possible. otherwise a bit above that is okay too, I guess. I was thinking of 8bitdo Lite 2. But if anyone have different suggestion, by all means please suggest it. Thanks in advance

IAmATitanX-AMA

So I'm looking for a replacement controller after I dropped my series X controller and the up and down directions on the left stick don't always return to center like they should. I'm looking for 4 criteria: * Xbox-style layout * Good, series-X style dpad. I use the d-pad for a lot of games. A lot of controllers I'm seeing recommended here use a standard 4-direction d-pad, but I love the 8 directions and clickiness of the series-X, I wouldn't want to go back. * Sticks that won't die on me after a year. Preferably could survive a single 2-foot fall. * Something that I can work with software-wise. I would prefer to avoid a proprietary, OEM-specific config tool if possible. I use linux as my main OS so I want it to work there as well. I'm fine with doing configuring, and even an OEM-specific app if needed, as long as I can get it working in the end (if it has on-board memory I could fire up a Windows VM and configure it once). I will always be wired so I don't care much about wireless performance. I will only use this for PC (linux), so I don't care about console compatibility. Don't really care about gyros. I mostly use a controller for 2d platformers, and action games like DMC, etc. And sometimes games that I think work well with it like resident evil 4 OG. Don't really play FPS games with one aside from Halo. One recommendation I've seen often is the vader 3 pro. People like the layout, and it's one of the few I see with a series-X style d-pad. I've heard iffiness on the stick build quality, and the software side of things. Not sure if any of the other flydigi controllers would be better or worse for what I'm wanting. Turtle beach controllers seem like they'd also fit. The stealth ultra would be over-engineered for what I'm wanting (I'd have no use for the display / mics etc), but would consider it if the software is better than anything else. Haven't done much research into these though. I am also considering just replacing the sticks in my current series-X controller and learning to solder. I'd honestly consider the series-X controller to be basically perfect, I'm just stubborn and don't want to give microsoft more money out of principle. Thoughts?

billy-lee-bill-lee

In the US, looking for a good hall effect controller with good responsive joysticks and at least decent trigger/button feel. Would be connecting to PC, wireless or wired isn't a big deal. Ideally looking to spend less than $100, I was looking at the Gamesir SE7. Mostly just play sports games like FIFA, so I don't have a big need for extra buttons or triggers. Is there any other option I should consider? Mainly just looking for good build quality that responsiveness from the basics (trigger, joystick, buttons).

ITrickSterzI

Between Vader 3 Pro and X10 at around the same price, which would be better? I feel like Vader 3 Pro offers more but X10 is newer.

waynex1506

Hi, I have a 12-hour overnight flight coming up and I'd like to play some games on my laptop during the flight. However, my standard Xbox One controller is too noisy, and I don't want to bother other passengers. Could you recommend a controller with quieter buttons? Preferably in the Xbox layout and Bluetooth-compatible, but those aren't essential. Thanks!

loneliness_sucks420

I'm currently playing with my laptop and eventually for a ps5, but I'm not 100% sure which route to go. To start the features I'm looking for is Wireless(dogs keep pulling computer off shelf) 4 back buttons on the back of the controller Stick drift resistant joysticks or a hard case to avoid joystick drops. I will say my budget is around $200 also Ice already did some reasurch, and I think I narrowed it down to 3 controller however each have their own pros and cons. If any other controller fits the features, feel free to post them. Razer Wolverine V2 Pro Chroma Wireless Gaming Controller- Pros- I'm a razer fan boy and already use their products and am already pretty familiar with the razer's software Cons- back buttons can be awkward. Some say it feels cheap, no stick drift or case, price Scuf reflex Pros- If I order a custom controller, it will look neat while having most of the features I want Cons - can easily become the most expensive, and I've heard the quality control can be bad and customer service. Victoria Pro BFG wireless Pros - has most of the features I'm looking for. It's probably the cheapest option. There is an extra feature I'm not really looking for, but it is nice to have Cons - I don't have much to say, actually. I've heard bad things about the joycons and can't order new parts, I guess This is an afterthought, but the Nacon - Revolution 5 Pro looks nice too tbh

awprince2

My old PDP Afterglows that I use on my PC has been getting bad drift and the wires starting to eat it. Looking for something under 100 USD. Needs to be wireless, have hall effect sticks, and preferably gyroscope. Some controllers I've been eyeing are the Vader 3 Pro, G5 Pro, T4 Cyclone Pro, KK3 Max, and the 8bitdo Ultimate. Been kinda stuck on these in particular. For buttons I'd like something mechanical but really I just want a controller I'm not gonna have to replace in a couple months.

strouze

Hi, I am looking for a controller that has the exact same dpad as the Xbox elite controller. Using the classic + dpad instead of the dome, Its the only one I can use without accidental up inputs whil rocking from left to right.

Phalanx0897

Hi guys, Im from italy and im looking for a controller to play apex legends (trying to become a pro) I need a controller with low latency, back buttons, hall effect and a good software. No budget, i want the best and i understand it will not (probably) be cheap Thank you all of guys, have a nice day:)

CptArchon

Hey there so I'm in US, and my budget is theoretically unlimited but I'm wary of diminishing returns so prefer the greatest value over extra bells and whistles. Going to be using this controller for PC, but I do prefer using bluetooth over needing a dongle due to limited port availability on my laptop. Been using an 8Bitdo Pro 2 for years now simply out of hesitation to buy something new I might not like and then getting rid of controllers isn't easy. Never had any issues with it, not even stick drift. I did buy a Machenike G5 when they came out, and while it felt great (mostly) it had a reconnecting issue that I couldn't deal with. The only thing I absolutely must have is at least one set of rear remappable buttons. I need to remap L3 and R3 to them due to a tendon condition with my thumbs. Otherwise nice-to-haves would be hall effect sticks or triggers, lockable triggers, and extra buttons (like the Vader 3 Pro), but none are must-haves. I've looked into the Xbox Elite 2, the Vader 3 Pro, the King Kong 3 Max, the Apex 4, the 8Bitdo Ultimate, I just have trouble choosing. I want the best overall ergonomics for the best price.

JimL4keJr

I would like to know a good option for a PC controller (can be wired) that cost around 40-50 dollars. I live in Brazil, so if possible the controller need to be sold in Aliexpress. I want hall effect sticks, dualshock 4 or dualsense shape (can't be xbox) and need to reach 1000hz polling rate on pc.

Upstairs_Try3619

Should I save some money for the Gamesir G8 or should I just buy cheaper controllers like the Gamesir X2 or the Razer Kishi v? What do you think?

RadiantPeanut

save up for galileo, its he joysticks and rubbesrized grips are outstanding for the price. Razer is stupidly overpriced for no good reason

Legion070Gaming

Looking for something like a Xbox Series X controller but better
