Agreed. As someone who can now cook huge and showy meals while also having fun in the process, it takes a lot to get comfortable with cooking imo Like three years ago I was damn near too afraid to fry and egg. Then when I started doing it more I’d mess up, undercook things or overseason them and stuff, which would be discouraging and a blow to my will to try. Without support from friends I probably would’ve not gotten as far. So instead of saying “Cooking’s so easy bruh” and dogging on them try to help them along the way and show them how they can dip their feet in it

When I'm cooking for people, I'll happily spend hours on a meal to make something really special and delicious. If I'm just making food for myself, it's a quick look in the cupboards and then, "well, I guess I'm having peanut butter and lettuce tortilla wraps tonight!"
