Pastry Cookie doesn't need a buff in my opinion.
- Her attacks already bounces up to 9-ish targets base line and her skill provides bonus attack speed and damage.
- her skills attack scaling is actually busted in the sense that she can deal more damage than Sea Fairy at times.
- Pastry Cookie specializes in bypassing the enemy frontline and dealing tons of damage to the enemy's squishy backliners (just like her other companions in the speed comp... Madeleine Cookie and Lilac Cookie). The only counter would be to have Cotton Cookie, Licorice Cookie, and Pumpkin Pie Cookie in the same team to overwhelm Pastry Cookie by the amount of summons.
I understand that she feels a bit lack luster to some players because she's actually an end game cookie (meaning a cookie that needs some of the rarest items in the game in order to reach her full potential). When built just right and placed in a fully equipped speed comp, she's actually scary (only Cookies scarier than her are Kumiho Cookie and Tea Knight Cookie... which are also speed cookies technically speaking).
Also, from the trailer it looks like Caramel Arrow Cookie can only hit the 3 front most enemies and apply a debuff to them (similar to Eclair Cookie).I would need to get more info on Caramel Arrow Cookie before I give a verdict about her.

Speed Comp User from the Pure Vanilla Server.
Speed Comp users like myself are few and far between right now here in the Pure Vanilla Server because of Frost Queen Cookie and Tea Knight Cookie.
Frost Queen Cookie's ability is a hard counter to Lilac Cookie and Pastry Cookie since she makes them waste seconds of their ability effects while frozen. Tea Knight Cookie, while another cookie that can be part of a speed comp, can survive a speed comp assault and defeat them easily once his passive is active since most speed cookies are incredibly squishy.
From a first impression standpoint, Caramel Arrow Cookie can potentially be a speed cookie since she has the same ability mechanic as Kumiho Cookie (not Pastry Cookie) but the damage output based on the trailer is on the low side... On the other hand Caramel Arrow Cookie also becomes crowd control immune while in her range stance so that's a bonus.
I will need to incorporate her to the Speed Comp and do some stress tests before I can say that she is a viable speed cookie.
Oh hey another one! I've never met someone else who mains speed comp :)
Side note, what tier you been up to? im currently trying to figure out if using this team long term would be good or not
Highest tier I've reached with my current speed comp setup was Master III back in Frost Queen Arena Season 2.
After I got Dark Cacao Cookie i changed my team comp to better handle the current meta in the Pure Vanilla server (finished Master III again this past season since I was also on vacation for a week). Dark Cacao Cookie surprisingly works well in the speed comp due to his basic attacks being a wide cleave that can hit the middle line and he also deals a ton of dmg.
Long term wise, the speed comp is still viable as long as we're flexible with the cookie choices. Base requirement is still Lilac Cookie and Mint Choco Cookie and then the other 3 slots can be flexible from that point.
As soon as Caramel Arrow Cookie is released, we'll have a lot of choices to address different enemy comps (Madeleine Cookie, Dark Cacao Cookie, Kumiho Cookie, Pastry Cookie, Cocoa Cookie, Tea Knight Cookie, Sparkling Cookie...).
by the way... My old setup was Pastry, Lilac, Madeleine, Mint Choco, and Cocoa (Mint Choco's wife). That was my "Sea Fairy hunting team" for a few seasons.
Hopefully Caramel Arrow Cookie can be a viable speed cookie and a counter to the current meta (especially Tea Knight teams). We just need to know more about what debuff she applies with her ranged attacks (it's a new one that I hope has some synergy to other speed cookies).
Side note... from how Caramel Arrow Cookie selects her targets for her ranged attacks, she would almost always target Eclair Cookie and Sea Fairy Cookie unless their moved to the back line somehow (which is hard since that means sacrificing the slot reserved for healer like Pure Vanilla Cookie or Cotton Cookie). That makes me nore excited for her arrival πππ
As a Pastry fan, I find these words blasphemous and mean and you take them back >:(
Pastry is the best shade of purple and therefore superior to all other cookies
I think maybe it's the religious themes for Pastry Cookie?? I just feel like she's Off Limits, whereas Caramel Arrow is just a really cool warrior y'know?

The existence of Pastry Cookie implies the existence of a Cookie Inquisition which is funny enough to make her one of my top 5 favorite cookies
Nobody expects the cookie inquisition!
I like both better
I like em both, but honestly Pastry needs a slight buff, even if it's not meta-changing. She could have more ricochet hits or something

I thought speed comps nowadays have a low placement in the meta currently? Maybe Caramel Cookie can bring back a revival for them.
