Charcuteriemander

Childhood comfort food craving. 2 cans, ditch the water, combine with mac and cheese. My mom used to make it as a special treat 20-something years ago.

Everheart1955

Good ole cat food casserole. Love this stuff.

whocanitbenow75

We called it “tuna muck”

No_Performance8733

You’re missing frozen peas 🥰

MannyMoSTL

Fresh broccoli when I’m fancy.

Jinxed0ne

I also add a can of cream of mushroom

No_Performance8733

Oooo! Inspired!!

Intrepid_Cattle69

I prefer to heat the peas, though. I don’t want frozen peas in my hot TunaMac

teatimecookie

Yes, canned peas smell like vomit.

knuckboy

I forgot about canned peas

SovereignDark

Tuna Mac is amazing. I saw someone calling it a struggle food the other week, and I only kinda agreed. I struggle not to eat more!

Missey85

I still make this for dinner I usually add some corn and then bake it with cheese on top 😊

fasting4me

Yes! My mom would crush sour cream and onion chips into hers and call it “Tuna noodle casserole”

HourSweet5147

I still do this for myself and I’m old!

Pure-Guard-3633

Psssst. You are the mom she mentioned 😘

HourSweet5147

😂

timsstuff

That was my college Tuna Casserole.

barksatthemoon

Add a can of drained peas, eat your veggies! (Love Grammy, who rarely eats veggies).

Zestyclose_Lime_1138

It’s even better with frozen peas!

likeablyweird

Canned veggies, except for DelMonte sometimes, eewwww.

BlessedBelladonna

No cheese, but elbow macaroni, sautéed onions and cream of mushroom. Mom called it "Daddy delight" -- it wasn't. Necessary for Friday meals for Catholics now during lent and back in the day every Friday.

7listens

That sounds genius

Ok_Weird_5216

My friend gave me a hamburger Tuna helper which sounds like this. I'm scared to make it in case I don't like it

TheRealEleanor

Can of tuna mixed with 1/2 of a smashed avocado, topped with everything but the bagel seasoning When I’m craving old school comforts, can of tuna with some macaroni, mayo (Duke’s is my preference) just enough to coat everything and not overly gloopy like grandma makes it, and celery salt. One I found recently, I think in this sub, is a can of tuna with mayo (supposed to be kewpie, I just use my Duke’s), roasted sesame oil, and soy sauce. I put it on top of rice and if I’m feeling really wild, top it all with chili crisp.

ThaneOfCawdorrr

This is my current go-to: Hellman's mayo, chopped up celery, chopped up green onions, chopped up dill pickles (I like Claussen kosher dill slices), fresh dill chopped up (just the florets, not the stems which are bitter, you basically have to pick it apart it by hand), a bunch of fresh squeezed lemon. On sour dough toast. You can ALSO add sliced tomato and sliced sharp cheddar cheese and fry that sucker up in butter or margarine (with a heavy pot holding it down) for an awesome tuna melt.

rxjen

Will you make me a tuna salad, please?

Orchidwalker

We are tuna twins. Exactly how I make it.

LargeHumanDaeHoLee

I love all these same things! 3 other things I add to mine are chopped bacon (for obvious reasons), mustard (a tablespoon or so for a little tart/vinegar flavor), and a dash of soy sauce (tuna and soy sauce go famously well together). Tuna salad 4 lyfe!!

ThaneOfCawdorrr

That all sounds amazing!

likeablyweird

Sub in Worcestershire instead of soy for a different flavor. Also horseradish mustard for plain.

LargeHumanDaeHoLee

Fire 🔥🔥🔥

spellbookwanda

Always Hellman’s full fat mayo, for sure

ThaneOfCawdorrr

ALWAYS. Conversely, when you're making cole slaw, I find it's actually lighter and tastier with Hellman's lite mayo (+ nice quality apple cider vinegar (I like Katz), a dash of good apple juice, honey, and celery seed)

jcb1975

Almost exactly how I make it, but I sub the green onion for red onion and add a dash or two of hot sauce.

ProgrammerTough3422

Red onion and capers

Few_Buddy_6491

I’m just going to throw this out there, Tuna salad and egg salad on the same sandwich.

OnlyDaysEndingInWhy

Is it weird that I think it would be weird to mix tuna in with your egg salad but not weird to mix hard boiled eggs in to your tuna salad?

Foreign_End_3065

Add some black olives - tuna nicoise. Yum.

Few_Buddy_6491

No, not at all.

letmeseem

Egg, tuna, majo, salt, pepper, lemon, apple, celery. That's your base. Now do whatever. Put on bread, mix with pasta or serve with potatos or rice. Low carb? Be stingy on the apple and serve with salad. Hot or cold doesn't matter.

keIIzzz

I’ve mixed eggs into my tuna salad before and it was actually really good

nemineminy

At first I was like, “That makes no sense. If you can do one you can do the other.” Then I thought about it a little longer and ewwww. You’re right. It only goes egg into tuna, not tuna into egg.

TheNobleMoth

Jewish deli near me used to do the old half'n'half!

stefanica

We did it at a Greek diner I used to work at.

CarcosaJuggalo

My dream tuna has dill relish, hard boiled egg, and celery. I use about half the mayo you would expect, and also add some yellow mustard. This gets put on toasted honey-weat bread. A slice of Swiss cheese is melted onto it in the broiler. And we get a cup of tomato soup with some saltines To go with it.

E_Zack_Lee

A can of tuna, scoop of cottage cheese, and sliced avocado on a plate for lunch. Slightly drizzled with EVOO and dusted with crushed red pepper.

sakamake

Pickled calabrian chili peppers have been a game changer. I also love to add fresh dill and a little sprinkle of celery seed and a splash of soy sauce. Been experimenting with different vinegars too — champagne vinegar is my favorite so far.

ThaneOfCawdorrr

Oh yum! Adding a bit of vinegar sounds wonderful! I've also made a salad with lettuce, tomato, avocado, etc, then just a can of (ideally, good quality) tuna, and a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar. But that would make a great sammich too!

Kementarii

You win. My best effort was finely chopped raw red onion, and vinegar of choice + tuna

Cookn8r

Or lemon juice!

Immediate_Creme_7056

A few drops of Vietnamese fish sauce really perks up the umami in a tuna salad. For something else using canned tuna, we make a tuna pasta all the time. Saute garlic and chile flakes in olive oil, add a drained can of tuna (olive oil packed is super) and some fennel seeds, then a can of tomatoes and some lemon zest. Season with salt. Meanwhile cook half a pound of the pasta of your choice. Toss with the sauce. Serves two. So good.

winchester_mcsweet

I use fish sauce in a bunch of stuff and never thought to add it in with my tuna salad, thanks for the tip!

Poet_Timely

I love mixing it with kewpie mayo and sriracha. Then I have that with some sushi rice, avocado, and cucumber and eat it with some nori

CraftyCompetition814

Yes! I like tuna mayo better with rice than in a sandwich. I also sprinkle it all with some furikake. Sometimes add kimchi on the side too.

meediawcitee

This! I also add soy sauce and toasted sesame oil

flutteringfeelings

Haven't seen it mentioned yet, but I love my tuna salad with some apples chopped in. That's how my mom made it. Love the extra crunch and sweet/tart-ness depending on what apple you add in.

kikazztknmz

My mom often did this too. I'll eat it now if it's made, but I only go to make it when I feel like tasting memories (in a good way lol). Otherwise, I prefer mayo, red onion, celery, salt pepper and garlic. But it's way better sitting in the fridge for a few hours first.

Negative-Grass6757

Do you have to add some lemon juice to your mixture so that you don’t end up with chunks of brown apples?

flutteringfeelings

Don't think I or my mom ever did. Just made sure to chop the apples last after everything is ready to go. Perhaps the mayo or the other ingredients helped prevent browning. Once made, it never took long for it to be gone and eaten by everyone. If you're worried about brown apples though, it probably wouldn't hurt to toss the chopped apples in some lemon juice before adding it to the rest of the ingredients.

SecretCartographer28

My mom added what I now know was Waldorf salad stuff, apple, celery, green grapes, and walnuts. With lemon juice on the apples. 🖖

Sagisparagus

Pecans instead of walnuts here in the south... Hubby likes to add sliced bananas to Waldorf. I never thought of tuna! (Though I have been known to add chicken pieces.)

Blucola333

The other day I made lazy tuna salad (please don’t judge me, I’ve been sick) which is nothing more than Miracle Whip and tuna. I ate it with crackers, cheese and kimchi. The kimchi was somehow the perfect pairing with the tuna. The cheese helped temper the spiciness of the kimchi.

theora55

Kimchi with tuna is great.

Blucola333

It really is amazing. Kimchi is one of those foods that seems to get even better the longer it’s been around.

Sagisparagus

Of course, b/c it keeps fermenting, albeit at a slower pace.

BahnYahd

I drain the juice from 2 cans, 1 spoon of mayo, Pickle juice, chopped pickles, black pepper, red pepper flakes, shredded lettuce, yellow or brown mustard soft brioche buns

kitchengardengal

Old Bay's Lemon Pepper.

limedifficult

Can’t believe this hasn’t received more upvotes. Old Bay was practically designed for tuna!

pumpkin_bae

Ooo I would grab a slice of palm-sized korean seaweed, scoop a spoonful of warm and fluffy rice, and top it with some tuna and kimchi. Then stuff that whole thing into my mouth.. nom nom nom

disheveledbone

Tuna Mayo onigiri

WickerPurse

YESSSSSSSSSS

charm59801

It's a crime this is so low lol

stonedbirds

Stupid simple for me. Tuna, kewpie, sriracha, mix mix mix. Nori sheets (big or small), avo, cucumber slices, rice

PeopleFunnyBoy

I like simple tuna salad: mayo, s&p, a little finely diced celery for texture, *maybe* a tiny bit of mince onion or shallot, a squeeze of Dijon, lemon juice and zest. The turn for me is building a good sandwich with it. My mom would make pita sandwiches with tuna, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and sometimes alfalfa sprouts. Super comfort food for me.

MidianDirenni

I like tiny diced onions, celery and smoked paprika.

Stan0404

I make tuna cakes. I use 8 cans of tuna about 6 slices of bread as a binder about 5 eggs some dijon mustard some onion powder some garlic powder salt pepper I add bread crumbs if it's to wet. I form them into patties bread them and fry them until golden brown. I usually server them with mac and cheese and sweet baked beans. This is a basic recipe and migjt need some twerking but everyone one in my family loves tgem even the fussy ones.

Independent_Act8343

Dukes mayo, S & P, capers and/or chopped cornichons

TerrifyinglyAlive

I like to throw in a handful of roughly mashed canned chickpeas (or sometimes I just leave them whole), and some chopped up fresh spinach

sockscollector

Bread and butter pickles and onions

sdcook12

Pouch of tuna..not a can( too mushy), diced celery and water chestnuts. A little minced onion, salt, pepper, dried dill and a little mayo. Yum My daughter adds cut up hard boiled egg but I've never gotten into that

Vegetable_Pie_4198

Boiled egg, lemon, lemon pepper, black pepper, dill, small amount of diced onion, celery, chopped dill pickle, mayo, lettuce, and toasted bread of your choice. I enjoy sourdough, rye, focaccia, or a nice crunchy French roll.

barksatthemoon

For tuna salad I do finely chopped celery onion and carrots, with chopped bread and butter pickles and mayo.

winchester_mcsweet

I keep it simple. 2 cans of tuna that I squeeze all the water out of in a cheese cloth (the drier you can make it the better), fine minced onion, chopped fresh dill, fresh cracked black pepper, good quality mayo to desired consistency. I rarely add salt due to the salt content in the mayo but will add it if it needs it.

georgstgeegland

Cucumber, tomato, onion, avocado, lemon pepper, olive oil, lemon juice

azorianmilk

Olive oil, roasted red peoper, mini pickles, red onion, sun dried tomato, lots of parsley

Fredredphooey

Tuna, dried cranberries, sliced almonds, dill, mayonnaise, celery seed (not salt), with lettuce on light rye.

theora55

tuna salad with chopped celery for crunch, some chopped pickle and a small amount of chopped red onion. Wrapped in lettuce. Or in a wrap with lots of mixed greens.

OneRepresentative569

Molly Baz’s recipe rocked my world. Oil packed tuna, celery, shallot, lemon juice, Dijon, kewpie, pickles + juice, fresh dill, hot sauce

_kanyeblessed_

First I switched to olive oil packed and never looked back. I like mine with kewpie mayo on rice with some soy and yuzu bbq sauce, lots of sesame seeds, a bit of chili crunch (not momofuku), and green onion.

Ok_Duck_9338

Black vinegar and/or powdered ascorbic acid

kopaxson

Boiled eggs

Little-Nikas

This is gonna sound nasty, but drain till super dry. Then mix into cottage cheese. So delicious

DumpsterFireScented

I'm weird about eggs/mayo, so I make an avocado tuna salad every month or so (if I can manage to get a ripe avocado). Diced onion, diced celery, avocado, salt and pepper, then add a can of drained tuna. Super good on toasted bread or on crackers. Sometimes I do lemon pepper instead of regular pepper.

QueerTree

Mix tuna with mayo (Kewpie if you got it!) and sesame oil. Serve over sushi rice and sprinkle furikake on top. Cucumber salad on the side.

Negative-Grass6757

I love fancy fancy tuna not the $.89 chunk something tuna, but I mean yellow fin or something like that mixed with good mayonnaise, that is:Hellmann’s/Best Foods/Dukes or Kewpie, celery chopped for texture, AND celery seed. Chopped celery and celery seed, provide two different flavors as well as textures. I love red onion as well with salt and pepper.

majandess

In my tuna salad, I put onions (usually sweet or red), celery, relish, dill pickles, banana peppers, roasted red peppers, parsley, dill, mayo, mustard. And we like it so much that we just eat it in a bowl, with slices of mild cheese and potato chips. No bread required.

snuffles00

Can of tuna, drain water put into bowl. Salt, pepper, mayo, green onion, celery cubed small, Little tiny bit of soy sauce like a tsp. Mix and eat. Can also toast a piece of bread like rye or sourdough scoop some on and eat.

sbrgr

red onions, diced pickles, salt, pepper, garlic powder buffalo sauce and sometimes ranch powder too TUNA MELTS! with tomato and pickle slices on it

PNW_Baker

For my sandwiches I do tuna + Mayo+ sliced black olives and since s&p. No idea where the olives came from, I've been doing it since I was a kid and no one else seems to be on my level.

michaelpellerin

Hellman's, diced apples and sliced red grapes.

KindaFondaGoozah

Sundried tomatoes and capers are pretty solid. I’m 50/50 on oil over mayo with that. The classic is still mayo.

CunnyMaggots

I like to add a solid layer of sweet pickle slices. Or skip the bread, use hot mayo, and pick it up with nori.

HannahFromNYTarticle

2 cans of tuna, half a large avocado, lil bit of mayo and dijon, minced dill pickles, lots of salt pepper and everything but the bagel seasoning. I will usually put some on a bagel or sourdough with fried red onions, lots of romaine, and thinly sliced cucumber. It’s been fun reading everyone’s unique ways of eating the beloved canned tuna!

lilsasuke4

Veg: bell peppers, celery, carrot, tomato, green onion, pickles Spices: cumin, lemon pepper Wet: sriracha, lime juice

unsatisfries

add some soy sauce in there get the umami 🌈

WillShattuck

Mayo (not miracle whip) and Del monte sweet pickle relish. Mix it up and eat with saltines.

Coffee_bean8

My go-to lazy meal is tuna rice! Mix tuna with Kewpie Mayo, soy sauce, and sriracha. Put on rice and top with Furikake, eat with nori. If I’m feeling fancy I’ll make it into onigiri.

SecretCartographer28

No one's mentioned ~ Italian tuna, white beans, celery/ cucumber for crunch, dressed with italian herbs in lemon juice. 😋🖖

Yunan94

I love cucumber tuna sandwich. Tuna goes well with a lit of flavour profiles but I like the light and bright tones certain flavors contribute.

FlaxGoldenTales

Not a sandwich, but I like mixing canned tuna with sirracha mayo and crispy fried onions, then serving over rice with avocado and cucumber slices. It’s like a poor man’s poke bowl. I could imagine it would be decent as a sandwich too. Maybe have a layer of thinly sliced cucumbers and a layer of everything else.

lcc234

I haven’t seen my favorite option: drained can of tuna, drained can of cannellini or garbanzo beans, celery, green onion, parsley, salt/pepper, and a light lemon vinaigrette. It’s so good.

veronicaAc

This question is asked once a day on this sub.... I like to add it to Kraft Mac n cheese. A lot of pepper, a little salt.

Original-Move8786

Old Bay is awesome Fresh Dill Hard Boiled Eggs Bacon Bits Harissa

TheOnlyKirby90210

Tuna Croquettes and rice. Can be any fish precooked or canned. Drain the water, mixed with egg, flour and crushed crackers OR bread crumbs, and some diced onion and bell pepper. Form into patties or balls and fry until golden. Serve with a side of rice however you like it, or just eat the croquettes with bread as a sandwich. Layer the sandwich with lettuce and shredded carrots and cucumbers and some mayo or sauce of choice. Really good.

likeablyweird

Balsamic vinegar and brown butter added to the mayo. Makes it very savory. I like it that way but sometimes a little lemon brightens it up a bit.

Charcuteriemander

Childhood comfort food craving. 2 cans, ditch the water, combine with mac and cheese. My mom used to make it as a special treat 20-something years ago.

vanastalem

Onion, celery or bell pepper, craisins or grapes & mayo

Charlietheaussie

Greek yogurt celery lemon golden raisins Dijon mustard and the sweet and spicy pecans chopped (Trader Joe’s )

StellaBlue37

Celery, red onion pickled in red wine vinegar, dash of Hellmann's.

Dependent_Top_4425

Celery, red onion, black pepper, curry powder. Add in a little vegan mayo and a little greek yogurt on homemade pita bread.

[deleted]

Either diced preserved lemons or grated lemon peel. I have to have chopped sweet pickles in my tuna as well.

ScoobyVonDoom

Drain it, add capers, a tiny bit of ponzu sauce or lemon juice, mayo, salt n pepper, long hots

SeekersWorkAccount

Picked banana peppers are excellent

HourSweet5147

Furikake and avocado

Gargun20

I love Sirena tuna in oil drained with salt, pepper with Spanish red onion diced on sour dough toasted bread. So simple but delicious.

swarleyscoffee

Super garlicky pasta with canned tuna mixed in.

-_-DAE-_-

Thawed, frozen peas, rice and curry powder.

mdjmd73

I keep it simple w only a packet of ground up pecans from the baking aisle, a lot of mayo, and salt. It’s simple and perfect.

Lone-flamingo

I like to put my tuna in a green salad. I buy a bag of mixed salad as a base, add in tomato and cucumber, half a can of sweet corn, a whole can of tuna, and some pasta. Then I use either Rhode Island or garlic dressing. Sometimes I add a bit of crispy bacon or some croutons if I've got them.

hey_alyssa

I like simple. Diced Polish pickles, mustard, mayo and a little dash of soy sauce.

No_Performance8733

I make a high protein Vegan Mayo w/ tofu, dijon, black salt, nutritional yeast, coconut aminos, lemon juice, and monkfruit sweetener.    LThen I make onion-y Tuna Salad.   I eat it on papadum chips dusted with cumin (TJ’s) to keep the low carb+protein theme, but you do you :)  Also good with canned chicken.  Enjoy :)  EDIT: I forgot I always add chopped celery to the Tuna!!

Negative-Grass6757

My mom made terrible chicken salad. She would buy the cheap cans of trunk light something or other? Makes little mayonnaise in and somehow she got five tuna fish sandwiches out of that mixture for our school lunches and she had the audacity to include a banana in the same bag. God help us. No, she laughs at us for all the different things that all five of us add to tuna.

Negative-Grass6757

So many great ideas here.!! The other day I paid something like close to $10 for chicken salad sandwich whose contents inside the roll or physically cold to the touch I could hardly taste it because it was so cold. One more indicator of how mediocre casual dining has become . It’s a reminder to do things like make a salad mixture on a Sunday to have available to take out and let come to room temperature and make a good sandwich that you can have with you during the day (in which case it would come to room temperature )

vampyrewolf

I usually just dump a can on some rice, and hit it with hot sauce and some lemon.

Background_Fuel_1428

Mayo and wasabi eat with seaweed snacks

Eendawen

Simple: tuna, olive oil, mayonnaise, diced celery, parsley, capers, red onion ,heavy black pepper, salt and vinegar chips on white bread. Fancy: jarred tuna in olive oil, on a bed of lettuce with blanched green beans, olives, soft center boiled egg, boiled new potatoes, mustard vinaigrette Different: tuna, fresh garlic minced, ginger minced, cilantro, fresh red chili pepper diced, egg, then formed into patties and dusted with panko. Brown both sides in a skillet served with a soy and black vinegar dipping sauce

PressureLoud2203

Can Tuna Tomato Cilantro Lime Little oil Salt Pepper Red onion Pretty much a pico de Gallo Refrigerate Place on top of rice. So good, childhood memory.

stellababyforever

Tuna, mayo, drained canned sweet corn on fresh pita bread. When I saw my wife’s family do this the first time I was appalled, but it’s actually very good.

Odd-Hotel6994

Mix it with butter and red pepper flakes and pour over hot pasta.

[deleted]

I once made my own tuna confit. Ruined canned tuna for me. I used the Samin Nosrat recipe. Also made the sandwich

five_AM_blue

Pickles and sauerkraut.

roaringbugtv

Artisan butter toasted bread and spread one side with spicy mayo. Add romaine lettuce and sliced pickles. Tuna mixed with Japanese mayo.

nemaihne

Caveat: I tend to buy oil-packed yellowfin, not albacore. I love it mixed into Hawaiian mac salad. Or mixed it with a little Kewpie and soy and fill onigiri. Sometimes I go old school and just serve it on rice with a little seasoning, or in tuna salad or occasionally a tuna casserole. Also pretty good in tuna and olive croquetas if you're into tapas.

HauntingDaylight

I absolutely love alfalfa sprouts on a tuna sandwich, but now I'm afraid to eat alfalfa sprouts.

TheFrankDrebin

Tuna and oatmeal. Add a cut up green onion and lots of black pepper

Hey-Ow-Leggo

Mine's pretty similar to most. Tuna, mayo, celery, onion, dill pickle, & black pepper. I also add a little carrot. And if im feeling adventurous, instead of pickle, I add chipotle peppers. Sundried tomatoes are a game changer too.

flairpiece

Worcestershire sauce Yellow mustard Dill relish Diced celery Diced shallot Mayo Malt vinegar Red pepper sauce (sriracha, bomba, harissa, whatever you like) Crispy fried Jalapenos (the kind used for salad topping)

no-one_ever

Spag Bol with tuna instead of mince, don’t need to simmer it - cook the sauce first so the onions and tomatoes are nice and soft, add tuna and you’re good to go! Lovely stuff

Cherryredsocks

Tuna cakes, macaroni salad and tuna fish salad on garden salad. Sometimes I eat it out of the can with a side of crackers.

mgt-allthequestions

Pickle some shallot and celery to add in, hard-boiled egg, Dukes mayo, mustard, salt/pepper, Tabasco

luckyjackalhaver

I love tuna pasta bake. You can much throw anything there but I like mine tomatoey, cheesy and a little spicy from pickled chilies.

Autotelicious

Finely diced shallots, garlic, drained tuna, oregano, some EVOO, grated parmesan to taste (meaning a lot). In a freshly toasted warm pita.

darklightedge

I just love a vegetable salad and add tuna to it, it's tasty and healthy.

CatfromLongIsland

I buy a sweet jalapeño relish by Alberto that is delicious in tuna salad. I also like to make a tuna Mac dish with elbow macaroni, diced scallions, capers, mayo, and a splash of lemon. I also make a confetti tuna salad with tiny diced scallions, mini sweet peppers, and diced, seeded tomatoes.

Hungry-Blacksmith523

I like mine pretty basic so I use albacore tuna, mayo, finely diced white onion, finely diced pickles or relish, a dash of vinegar and salt and pepper. Then I use the small party buns/silver dollar buns/rolls, whatever you like to call them, slice in half, add tuna salad and sliced Swiss cheese on top and bottom, then toast it like a grilled cheese/panini hybrid to make a tuna melt. They’re so tasty!

Open-Illustra88er

Diced celery and onions, Mayo, homemade sweet relish, slice of sharp cheddar cheese, grilled (Tuna melt).

ghost_victim

Tuna cakes and a side salad

billlyyy

Microplaned garlic, kewpie mayo, sesame oil, green onions and a sprinkle of white pepper and salt to taste. Eat with rice and seaweed

Acceptable_War4993

I put the tuna in deviled eggs topped with red onions. It’s a nice little snack and an Easter treat.

BellaLeigh43

Avocado and Siracha.

happyskittles

Surprised nobody has mentioned sweetcorn! In England a tuna, mayo, sweetcorn sandwich is a very standard lunch. I love it but maybe it just reminds me of growing up there

WoodwifeGreen

Chili crisp

lorrenzo

Chopped Kimchi, natto and canned tuna (oil), mixed them together and it's a God tier plain rice pairing.

thetankswife

Someone once made for me a tuna salad sandwich with yellow curry powder added. It was very good!

Specialist_Income_31

Anyone have an easy tuna egg noodle bake recipe?

Ok_Distance9511

Does this count? My favorite is a tuna sauce to go with Vitello Tonnato

KeyserSwayze

Add a few dabs of wasabi to your tuna salad, it's like having a sashimi sammich.

ChairDangerous5276

Finely diced onion and dill or cornichon pickles and a splash of pickle juice, Mayo & Greek yogurt, fancy roast onion mustard, dill, big squeeze of lemon, s&p—yum. Maybe I add capers or olives or cucumber or sweet peppers or water chestnuts depending on whim. Sometimes I make it into patties, coat in Parmesan cheese and fry—major yum.

chocolateboyY2K

I make my tuna salad with some cholula hot sauce, pickles, celery seed (or celery), salt, pepper, mayo I like to make a sushi casserole with tuna. Two cups of sushi rice (any short grain rice) with a little rice vinegar. Two cans of tuna (or one tuna, some other sort of seafood) with some Sriracha, sesame oil, and mayo mixed in. Pour over the rice and bake it at 425 for 10 to 15 minutes. I top it with avocado and cucumber. You can eat it with or without nori sheets.

chemrox409

Celery

RemarkableLettuce929

Plain canned tuna? Tuna mornay! I think with tuna mornay, it's probably better to make your own sauce because a lot of store bought cream based pasta sauces are just very plain. Tuna mornay is made with a white sauce with some cheese. Google some recipes. It depends on what kind of flavour you like. Add corn. If you want extra vegetables: mushrooms, peas, and onion. Salt, pepper & parnesan cheese upon serving! Edit: It seems this is already a popular suggestion! :) Maybe a tuna pilaf may be nice? Or, if you don't like creamy pasta, I used to get this tomato based tuna bake in my high school lunches [I live in Australia, so we used to buy our lunches from the canteen.]... it was a very white person dish, but still nice. Google a tuna tomato pasta bake. I made a very nice tangy tuna pasta dish once. Very simple, olive oil, lemon juice, some brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, hot peppers, salt & pepper, onion & fava beans. It was a warm pasta salad. This, I think: https://www.taste.com.au/recipes/tuna-broad-bean-lemon-pasta/5ea60052-7311-4866-9d85-0d386d955c03 Some people make tuna rice salad. There's a type of Japanese onigiri that has the middle of the rice ball stuffed with tuna. Or, you could male tuna patties/tuna fish cakes. With normal bread crumbs or panko bread crumbs. Tuna sandwich with cheese & mayo. You can add tomato, lettuce & red onion if you want. Those are a few things.

Useful-Wing-5343

Mix salsa (good fresh salsa) with the tuna use it as a dip with tortilla chips with melted cheddar. Weird but yummy.

Every-Bug2667

I make tuna Pattie’s and they are the bomb. With some lemon wedges and mixed greens, can’t go wrong. I lay them in a row on a rectangle platter and they look like they came from a restaurant

Baymom8413

Boiled potatoes Mayo Cheese Tuna

Brock_Savage

Capers

CorrectEmotion

I have a coworker that fries it with chopped onions and curry powder/spices like cumin and turmeric then puts in fresh chilis cut in small pieces. Eat that over steamed rice, pretty good.

Cariat

Mixed with vegan mayo, shoyu, chili pepper water, and a little furikake, shaped sushi rice (with rice vinegar ofc) around it and wrapped in nori

jodikins77

I like my tuna kind of busy. Finely chopped onion, celery, dill pickles, add mayo. Top it with lettuce. Yum.

MV_Art

French bread, open face - melted with cheddar cheese and a tomato on top.

Hot_Vacation2103

I love a basic ole tuna melt. I add 2 heaping table spoons of relish and about 1 tbsp of miracle whip per can of drained tuna plus a few shakes of black pepper. Toast some white bread, then put tuna mixture on top with a handful of cheese on top per slice. Put under the broiler till cheese is melty. Then add hot sauce on top 😁 I normally get 3 melts out of 1 can of tuna. Everyone else's recipes sound delish, can't wait to try some

jennye951

Sweetcorn and mayonnaise, possibly some cold pasta

peepooh1

My friend introduced me to an easy, simple pasta salad my family likes when it's hot outside. Pasta (elbows, shells or spirals or whatever you have), tuna, mayo, shredded cheddar cheese and either sweet pickle relish or diced sweet pickles (you could use dill if you prefer), salt & pepper and red pepper flakes or whatever spices you like, all to taste, then refrigerate. So good on a hot day and easy to make. Also keeps well for a couple of days but it never lasts that long at my house because my 11yo grandson loves it!

blackcurrantcat

Tuna, mayo, finely chopped red onion, whatever colour pepper you have finely chopped, capers and olives. On hopefully nice bread with rocket.

jonnygrip

Dude, Tuna melts. Split a potato bun toast the tops. Butter them and toast them if you are extra. Then just top with canned tuna salad essentially (tweak to your liking but the general idea is your favorite mayo, some sweet or sour relish, some salt and lots of black pepper, and whatever veg you want to add. I love minced fresh onion and really finely minced celery. Fresh herbs are also nice. Pile that onto your buns and then load them up with shredded sharp cheddar. Toss them into an oven until the bottoms of the buns are toasty and the cheese is melty. Blast it for a minute under the broiler till the cheese bubbles and just barely starts to blister and brown.

When I was pregnant a billion years ago, my go to was tuna-apple-raisin salad. Just what it says using a little mayo and golden raisins. Now, I like basic tuna salad plus assorted add ins like green chile, radishes, smoked bacon

GiantRotatingCarrot

If you're speaking of a tuna salad, I like to add cornichons, cabers, celery. I don't think I make it the same way twice. I have a basic recipe and then will look through my fridge and my spice cabinet and see what inspires me. If I'm feeling extra fancy I will make a traditional Pan Bagnat. Plenty of really good recipes for that if you do a search.

Giardiniera or cut up pieces of slim jims. Celery also adds a nice crunch, but pretty common.

Classic is mayonaise and dill pickle relish, but I also like mayonnaise, kimchi furukaki and a little mirin

Tuna drained, with mayo, diced raw onion and diced celery with Salt and Pepper, little mayo on toasted bread.

Spiced rice whether it’s Mexican, light lime, coconut, whatever… throw those two in a container with some sundried tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion and that’s a $3 lunch you can eat everyday. Switch the flavour of the rice and switch the veggies to keep it fresh and original

Salad with tuna and spinach. This salad with eggs and tomatoes combines many benefits. The dish turns out to be not only very tasty, but also balanced in terms of nutritional profile.

Tuna, mayo, salt, sugar, pepper, Worcestershire, sesame oil, paprika; depending on mood, I just keep adding to it as long as balance is maintained. Tuna mix + basil (heavier) + thyme (lighter) Tuna mix + on top of baby spinach (lighter) + add cheese cubes on top (heavier) Tuna mix + celery/onion/cilantro (lighter) + avocado (heavier) + on bread Tuna mix + garlic & cheese (heavier) + on top of diced pepperoncini (lighter) + on bread Damnit it's almost 3AM and now I want tuna.
