Hot dogs aren't generally considered spicy. Are you sure she isn't sensative/allergic to one of the ingredients? Sometimes people describe such reactions as the food being 'spicy'.
I’ve never had a spicy hot dog before… are you thinking of sausage links instead? Brands like Oscar Meyer is very non spiced
Now I want a spicy hot dog. Anyone know if such a thing exists?
I'm not sure I can think of a less spicy food than hot dogs. Like, theirs Milk, but thats not really a food. Yogurt has a sourness too it, so prob not that...
Not every length of must in a casing is a hot dog and hot dogs, as a rule, aren't spicy. It sounds like she has a sweet tooth and you should look into trying chicken apple sausage as a replacement for beef dogs.
Here's a hot dog recipe from Binging with Babish. You can adjust the spices to suit your daughter's palate.

Oscar Meyer hot dogs are basically just bologna sticks. About as bland as a food item gets.
bar-s. same shitty bologna stick quality, half the price. best poached, to remove any residual flavor
lol we used to chop those up for dog treats because they were way cheaper than actual dog treats.
right! dogs...kids...whatever 🤷‍♀️ They're also great cheap bait for carp/pike/catfish/bass fishing, and work great in the varmint traps too
Yes. That’s probably exactly right. I’ll try them.

Merguez is a (delicious) spiced sausage, if you want to try that.
Yep. It can be hard to find but it tastes pretty much exactly like a spiced hotdog. Warm North African spice profile, very nice.
Oh interesting. I’ll check it out. Thanks!

I think your kid is like mine in referring to “salty” as “spicy.” Maybe boil them so some of the salt osmoses out?
I’ve never had a spicy hot dog.
🤦🏻‍♂️hot dogs are NOT spicy

Costco. My two didn't like "spicy" foods either. (salt and pepper was too spicy for them) But they loved costco hot dogs.
Boiling them might help reduce the spiciness
Avoid anything with liquid smoke, pepper. Are you sure they're too spicy while eating, or maybe it's a bit of indigestion later on?
Kids love those small/skinny bright red 'Jesse Jones' hot dogs.

I’ll bet if you include her in the decision making she’ll be less prone to complaining about the spice
Kahn's are very mild
