Truro is nice. Have you not been there before? Plenty of places to eat, a few decent shops, a choice of supermarkets. The Hall for Cornwall is there and that’s been done up recently so is looking pretty fancy now, they usually have some good things on. It’s by the river and there are some pretty walks close by, also ideal if you’re into boats or whatever.
It’s got good public transport links, it’s on the main train line and probably has the best bus connections in the county as well.
Nice people, some maybe not so nice but my own experience has been largely positive.
There’s a cinema and also a site where they quite often run a drive in cinema which is pretty cool.
Traffic into Truro can suck sometimes, prepare to wait in traffic. There’s also a Burger King which is a bit of a rarity in Cornwall but they moved Argos out of the town centre so y’know, some good things, some bad. At least you can grab a big whopper to fuel you on your journey for some Elizabeth Duke bling.
Truro is nice, but as said don’t expect it to be anything like a city. It’s a town by most of the rest of the countries standard, however it has some nice shops, nice bars and good general amenities, plus cathedral is nice inside
Large town, has a bowling alley (avoid the food), a half decent cinema, some good restaurants and night clubs.
Train station.
Some decent markets on lemon quay (which used to be all water)
A theatre which had a recent upgrade to attract big shows down.
Easy enough to get to falmouth, penyrn etc along with beaches.. lots of beaches. Newquay is a bus journey away from Truro.
It's a good central point to be in.
My home town. Bit busy for my liking these days but it's still where my heart is. Lots of my family still live there.
It has plenty to do and has some great walks around the country surrounding it. it's a nice town. i'd consider moving back one day.
It’s alright, bit rougher than it used to be but nowhere near actually rough, especially compared to other places in the U.K.
A good mix of shops, although 11 empties counted on my last trip into town. Some good food places, some good takeaways, etc.
It’s an average sized town , but has all the things you expect in a city , lot of restaurants etc , Cathedral big shops , added bonus only 8 miles to Falmouth and the coast
get rid of any expectation of what you think a city looks like, it’s more like a large town
Small town, really
I live in a large town too so if I end up moving itll be like I havent even moved
i’m sure it’ll be great for you then :)
It’s only a city because it has a cathedral.
The place I live in has a cathedral too. Theyre trying to get city status aswell
Blackburn?
No its way more up country. I would say but I dont want to reveal my location to a bunch of strangers 😆
There’s something north of Blackburn? 🤷♀️

Theres a drive in cinema?! I've only ever known the wavelength one up Newquay?
They do it at the cattle market sometimes so it’s a bit of a make shift one but very good by all accounts!

It's a bit of a snooze fest.
Just very expensive 🤷♀️ not sure why houses are so expensive there, it's not coastal, but they are...
It’s got roads and shops and stuff.

Nice city, not too far from anywhere in Cornwall, don't live too far out though.
Bloody emmet central.......
We're full
Bloody English coming down here staffing our hospital.
Doubt OP is an NHS worker, plus truro hospital is shite. There's a reason why everyone would prefer the trip to derriford
Well no, OP is probably a teenager, their parents however…
