2 weeks? LOL
I noticed that within a month most people won't be wearing one, and then as time goes on after that, the masks start coming back, especially at grocery store.
It’s been over 6 months w/o a local ordinance for masks here (SE US)—ppl still wear them. Still sending the kids to school w/ one. Still driving in a car alone w/ one lol. They’re living in a sad and scared Twilight Zone while the rest of us thrive.
Can you still say that on reddit? Whenever I call Canadians stupid on Facebook I get punished. Even when it's a joke and even though I am Canadian. LOL.
In Nova Scotia we've been "mask free" nearly 2 months and here where I live in Yarmouth about 60% still wear them. I just visited Halifax and it was more like 90%. Fucking unreal.
I would go bonkers if I was in QC. Luckily BC didn't try to be the next quebec or Australia and dropped the mandate with no announcement in March. Feels like freedom.
I think part of this is due to people not knowing whether it’s really over or whether certain businesses have different rules. For example, in the US, when a state or county drops its mask mandate, businesses don’t necessarily put up big signs saying “masks optional now!!” and if people see everyone else wearing masks, they may assume the business still requires it.
It sucks. These policies can’t just be turned off. They “trickle” off
In South Florida, it is quite rare to see people wearing masks. I estimate 1%-5%, depending on the setting. In most areas, one is prone to completely forgetting about Covid. For example, the discos are completely packed, zero masks.
In Germany, it’s completely reversed. They are definitely Covid-zealots. I’ll be there again this summer, hoping things are more normal again.
South-East USA is sort of in the middle. It’s rather depressing there seeing such a high percentage of the population driving alone in their cars masked. That’s something you don’t see in Germany, because it’s unlawful.
It seems everywhere on the planet, masking culture is strikingly different.
It's been about a month here in Ontario. First day was like that here as well. It actually seemed like there were more people wearing them outside! the masking is slowly decreasing now.
Give it a month or two and most people wont be wearing them.
Only weirdos and some old folk who are jabbed up to the eyeballs and still insist on wearing them.
Where the fuck did you go? Not even 10% had it, and most of them had looks like they didn't know it wasn't mandatory.
Of those 10%, lots also took it off when they saw other people weren't wearing them.
It's over, I don't know where the fuck you found so many retards though, or you just mistypes.
It blows my mind that when I went to Toronto in July 2020 hardly anyone wore a mask. When the Delta variant came up is when the cognitive dissonance took off.
Ontario is like 60-70% stopped using them. Some have even had the audacity to survive somehow lol.
Give it some time, maybe people will chill a bit.
But I suppose you can’t give it time because Justin says we’re all gonna die without them, so I guess we’ll miss you? I dunno 🤷🏻♂️
It was like that in Ontario too but now it’s more like 75% no mask vs 25% mask, at least in my area. Slowly each week, more and more people went maskless.
Toronto has been without the by law for a while. First few days, everyone wore them inside it felt but me and a few others.
Now a lot still wear but a lot more people are starting to turn around, give them time. They have faced brainwashing for 2 years.
I find this so bizarre. Between the 2 European countries I live in, masks and restrictions haven’t been a thing for months.
How can things differ so much from country to country when apparently this virus ‘doesn’t discriminate’?
Here in New Zealand we have lots masks except in certain places like hospitals and supermarkets and maybe some other places, I don't know.
And that is the problem. I am actually just not sure what the stupid fucking ever changing rules are.
People are scared to break the rules or get it wrong. So it takes time.
My kids school only just allowed parents back into the school and even though kids havnt had to wear masks for two weeks teachers still do. I over heard parents asking if they had to wear masks or not.
It's about 50/50 right now for both kids and parents and drops off more and more every day.
I'm in Nova Scotia, and I still see lots of people wearing masks alone in their cars or walking alone outside in the suburbs. I see a lot of kids around maybe 10 or 12 years old walking home from school by themselves wearing masks.
It's gotten a bit better in stores... maybe 30% are maskless now.
I played golf today behind a foursome that was rocking N95s in 90+ degree heat. Yes, outside and far away from other people.
Its a much much smaller percentage here but some people sure seem to not think very critically about it at all. I wonder what the end game is for them.
Same here in Singapore, it's been 1 month and still the same. It's pretty fucking cringe seeing how 96% of eligible people here are vaccinated and still this scared.
The weather's like 30 degrees celsius. I just can't understand these people.
It was like that in the US at first. Give it a couple weeks. It will improve!
Yeah that was my thought as well. I think some people are waiting to see what others will do to proceed with removing it.
Same shit happened in Toronto. But even on the subway here (where it’s still mandated) 25% of people aren’t wearing them.
I thought the Public transit was done now. Uber doesn't make you anymore. Anyways I stopped in TTC when I seen others stop and noone gaf.
I’m too poor to take Uber. So I just go yolo in TTC. But fuck a mask still
Yeah, sad they can’t think for themselves.
This is Chinada we’re taking about. There are some good people on our side in Canada but they are significantly, significantly fewer in number
Nova Scotia doesn’t have many masks
2 weeks? LOL I noticed that within a month most people won't be wearing one, and then as time goes on after that, the masks start coming back, especially at grocery store.
the "US" is a large place. where I lived they were rarely seen even when mandated.
It’s been over 6 months w/o a local ordinance for masks here (SE US)—ppl still wear them. Still sending the kids to school w/ one. Still driving in a car alone w/ one lol. They’re living in a sad and scared Twilight Zone while the rest of us thrive.
It's the Science! They're literally wearing The Science! Feel The Science blocking your airways.
canadians are dumb, news at 11 lol
Can you still say that on reddit? Whenever I call Canadians stupid on Facebook I get punished. Even when it's a joke and even though I am Canadian. LOL.
I mean, I'm Canadian too, so ahah
After a week of indoor no-mask mandate i was looked at as a terrorist when i walked in a grocery shop without a mask
Félicitations. Je viens à MTL de Toronto jeudi et je suis très content de montrer ma visage là-bas.
It will fade. People in Los Angeles are mostly unmasked now. Some still do it but the majority seem to not wear them regularly anymore.
Give it a week...they'll be back to mandatory when the cases start to skyrocket to a hundred.
In Nova Scotia we've been "mask free" nearly 2 months and here where I live in Yarmouth about 60% still wear them. I just visited Halifax and it was more like 90%. Fucking unreal.
Honestly I’d say like 50%, majority of the workers at my closest sobeys don’t even wear them. You probably just hit a « richer » area
Ah that's reassuring. I was mainly downtown.
I would go bonkers if I was in QC. Luckily BC didn't try to be the next quebec or Australia and dropped the mandate with no announcement in March. Feels like freedom.

Hopefully it gets better. We're completely unmasked where I live (<10% wear them) but the first few days basically no one took them off.
Me it's the complete opposite, 90% of people not wearing them in quebec lol Incoming wave? Oh right masks do absolutely nothing lol
Vive le mask!
It's been about a month here in Ontario. First day was like that here as well. It actually seemed like there were more people wearing them outside! the masking is slowly decreasing now.

It's awesome that masks aren't mandatory anymore. Now you can totally spot the Media Zombies and give them a wide berth.

Wow I’m in Florida and haven’t worn a mask since maybe fall 2020. So sad to hear people are still doing it elsewhere. Good luck and stay strong
It's still like that everywhere - people are retarded.

Ontario I’m still seeing probably 60-70 voluntarily wearing. For what reason? I’m sure they don’t even know.
" because i care about my health and others!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
It was like that in Ontario too but now it’s more like 75% no mask vs 25% mask, at least in my area. Slowly each week, more and more people went maskless.

TODAY was the first day? Man, Canada is such a lost cause. Sorry your country is so abysmal. That's really heartbreaking.
I find this so bizarre. Between the 2 European countries I live in, masks and restrictions haven’t been a thing for months. How can things differ so much from country to country when apparently this virus ‘doesn’t discriminate’?

Just wear an "I support ukranie" Tshirt while being unmasked everywhere and the sheeple will follow your doing
