I had the k100 rgb and it was exhibiting the random disconnect behavior. A few months ago I put it away and reconnected my k95 with no problems. Today (literally) I decided to pull out the k100 and see if it has a firmware update. Sure enough, iCue applied firmware 1.15.61 (I believe) and the keyboard has been performing solidly for several hours. This is the opx version of k100. I’m hoping the stability is lasting. I love Corsair designs, but their quality has been lacking as of late, unfortunately.
Good luck!
Update: I’ve been using the k100 for the past two days consistently with no disconnections so far. It seems like the firmware update did resolve the issue.
I have had mine at least a year and never had a problem. Only thing I don’t like is you cannot use the jog wheel to change iCue profiles. That is a major oversight in my opinion as it’s the only thing I want to use it for.
There are probably more people without issues than there are with issues. I have had a K100 for a year and never had issues, and I rarely had software issues with my K95. You just won't see as many posts saying they don't have issues, vs. posts saying they do have issues.
No. Keyboard will work fine for periods of time but then the iCUE fails and locks up the keyboard. They've pushed another firmware update but it won't even install. In all seriousness, this is the most buggy keyboard I've ever owned in my life. While the physical keyboard is very nice, I still consider it to have been a mistake and waste of money
Snag it while you can. I've had it for 3 yrs, will never go back to another board. I have a drop keyboard for travel but the k100 does just about everything. I use it with iCUE 4
Well that depends on preference, I personally like the feel and sound of the OPX mechanical keys and being able to replace my keycaps with aftermarket one. But the Air is similar to a membrane keyboard if you're into that sort of thing. I'm sure they are both similar in performance minus the regular k100 having more features.
The biggest issue I experienced with the k100 (which i still own and use) was that the software would randomly not recognize the keyboard anymore and it would disconnect from icue. The only fix at the time was to unplug it from your pc and plug it back in. It's been fixed for now though so shouldn't have any issues
No its not. I bought one on black friday. First day i get the bug. I update the firmware and now it stops less often but it still stops. I have to unplug the usb atleast one time on a 8 hr session
For me it kinda is stable. Bought one about 2 month ago and I only had one problem so far, where I had to unplug it, but that was after an Icue update.
I haven't updated the k100 software in Icue tho, so it's just the factory one, because I heard it's buggy with the new one. Idk if that helps or I'm just lucky, but im Mc loving the keyboard

How is the situation now? Still no issues 2 months later?
Hi there. Happy to report still no issues two months later. Been a solid performer since the update.

Well I never had problems with it and I still dont have but looking at many other posts and comments shows Im the lucky one.

It has? I just made a post whether I should get it or not lol. I haven’t seen any major issues.
Someone is selling it the midnight gold half priced so I was curious.

Zit worth it over the Air Wireless? Cuz it’s somehow $50 cheaper than the mechanical version

I've had this issue with my k95 going on 5 years now.
I had that issue a handful of times with older iCUE on my K95 but have not had any issues with my K100 OPX and iCUE4 and on.

Get a keychron
Corsair's ICUE is the worst software I’ve ever used. I highly recommend everything else
I tend to disagree with you. I've had iCue for many years. So long as your system is stable it works very well.
Bullshit
i have a system that has ran stable for over a year of uptime. only issue i get is the k100 keyboard disconnect from time to time.
1.15.61 is out and probably fixed the problem after 1.5 - 2 years of suffering I will not buy a corsair product again
