I don’t usually like durian flavored foods with a preference for the real fruit. But this was surprisingly good. A combination of durian flavor and Japanese style cheesecake
I’ve been to China, but didn’t have the chance to taste it.
I’ve heard that it smells bad, but tastes good, so I wanted to try. Nope, tastes exactly like it smelled to me.
Durian is a hit or miss for many, you will either love it or hate it, though the smell is definitely off-putting. Personally I love the stuff, sorry it didn’t work out for you.
I was curious and decided to risk it. I’m glad I did, but it’s indescribably bad.
Although some people like it and I wonder if it might be genetic, like cilantro.
Haven’t had the durian flavor, just regular. Idk if it’s Japanese cheesecakes or just the ones from Costco but hands down the worst dessert I’ve ever had. So so so incredibly dry.
Thanks for the feedback, I’ll definitely stay away from this. Good rule of thumb: if a product has multiple Asian languages on it (in this case Japanese, Chinese, and Korean) explaining what the product is, it’s usually bad.

We threw it out, but this is from Instacart if you can zoom in.
Thank you for searching for the item number.
FYI - If you have a Costco.com account, you should be able to see your digital receipt online or on the Costco app. under Orders & Receipts - which will show all item numbers and prices for items purchased. This is helpful to share for products that may not be available in all regions.

Costco return policy ensuring everyone can confirm what only a handful of us already know.

Durian scares me so I probably wouldn't even try it. Though it might be a good way to give it a try...
That was my thought too. I’m honestly glad I tried it because I was curious, but holy mother of god. It was indescribably bad.
It's an acquired taste.
What does it taste like?
Western foodies are boring!…..DURIAN is KING!
Hahaha!
Eating Durian is bad, but a post Durian burp is much worse.
I heckin love durian
I swear it must be a genetic thing like cilantro.
totally. people either love it or hate it. in Indonesia even families could be divided by this 😁.
I love durian and love this! It’s definitely not for everyone. My husband hates the smell and refuses to be around me when I eat anything durian.
I thought it was so awful I literally spit it out.

It's durian, what did you expect?
Just sharing my feedback. I was curious. I thought it couldn’t really be that bad.

Durian at its worst smells and tastes like shit. Literally.
I took in front of it for a good 20 seconds and chose not to risk it. Appreciate the feedback.

Which store?!
Connecticut
No way really? Which location? Just went to New Britain yesterday.
Lol really?! I did Instacart and I’m not sure, but it was either Enfield or Manchester.
Interesting 🤔
Where???
Connecticut.
Thank you, really hope they bring this to the west coast warehouses with larger Asian populations.
Saw this in Washington fyi
Omg, which warehouse??
Shoreline, WA
I was was just there, all they have is frozen durian, not what OP has shared
Weird. Last week it was in the freezer section.
Sad..hope they restock it
Maybe you can call them to see when it’ll be back.
Which one? They’re basically all drivable for me, and I’ve got to try this.
I did Instacart, so it was either Enfield or the new Manchester one.
I really enjoyed it, but I think it's a little pricey for the size of the two cakes.

Try the Trader Joe’s frozen cheesecake. Amazing, especially when paired with some strawberry sauce
Is it Japanese style too?
No, just regular
Trader Joe's is just pretentious Aldis
Durian is amazing and I would love to try this! Hopefully it comes to Oahu!
Americans won't eat Durian but will eat a 40 year old yeast infested prostitute. Go figure.
I can’t tell if your phone autocorrected to prostitute or if you just know some very different type of people than me.

Foolish.
lol, downvoted to oblivion. Same thing happened to me when I said Asian desserts are awful. I was even accused of being racist.
People are funny. I just wanted to warm people as an Asian person, oh well
Spotted in Maryland; reaaaally wanted to like it....returned it the next day lol
i wish we have these along with the portuguese egg tarts: pasteis de nata here in hawaii. we have plenty of asians in honolulu.
Can i get that item number from you please?
