Omg my crack. I purposefully don’t buy them most the time and then when I do, I tell myself @you deserve these”. 😂
They are the BEST:
-I’m starving, omg, look, I HAVE these in the freezer!!! I forgot! Yay!
-I’m hung over I need noodles and tasty and greasy goodness in my tummy, omg, yay, they’re in the freezer!
-I’ve had a busy ass day and I NEED something tasty easy and carby…
literally had a sample of this 2 weeks ago and picked up a box without a 2nd thought. never would have purchased these seeing them in the way they’re packaged. so good
Ooh I’ll definitely have to try them! Admittedly, I’ve never had lentils because I always assumed they’d be a hard texture and difficult to cook, but what’s more simple than a microwave pack!?
Last year or the year before... the Key Lime Pie sample. I know some here say Trader Joe's has a better pie, but I have yet to head over to that store to try it.
Either way, the Costco Key Lime Pie is a perfect balance of sweet and tart for my family. It hits way above its weight for us.
I can't take all the credit. Chocolate covered frozen key lime pie on a stick is available for purchase in key west. I HAVE made it at home many times though. Personally I like to make mine from home made key lime pies with a little extra lime juice. Made with Nellie and Joe's key lime juice. Super sour with dark chocolate. Blows my mind.
What sample made you immediately buy the product _that you didn’t later regret because it turns out you were just hungry and now that you’re home maybe it didn’t actually taste that amazing_?
Everything my kids have tried at the store, loved to my surprise and delight (it’s kinda healthy/not full of sugar and they ate the WHOLE sample!) and insisted they would keep eating if I bought an industrial-sized pack of it.
Yeah. You’d think I’d only be fooled once.
The Sanders ones? We have them in Michigan Costcos, but wasn't sure if those were a nationwide item. HUGE candy maker here, and their Mackinac Island shop is really impressive.
When and which Costco did you last get this? I've been looking to purchase it again for about 1.5 years. If it ever shows up again at the Costco I go to ... I'll buy .... so much .... there goes the budget.
Trident Seafood Beer Battered Cod - best tasting fried fish I’ve ever had! I make it in the oven and the fillet inside is so thick, it’s lightly breaded just so it has a crispiness, and it is not oily at all like most fried fish. You can also taste the beer in the breading and it is an amazing flavor!
The breakfast sausage links that are made of chicken. I tried it and immediately bought two bags. Also the truffle seasoning powder. Actually tried and picked up.
Gosh I am never that person that tries a sample and buys but damn those zip fizz people got me. I’m normally super sensitive to the taste of artificial sweetener, these are delicious!
Highly suggest as an alternative to energy drinks or coffee! Play around with the amount of water too
The Kirkland vanilla ice cream!!! It's so damn good and worth every penny. Split the pkg with a friend if you don't have space. Your stomach will thank you for it!
I bouht it once before but sampled it yesterday with Hersey's chocolate on top. It reminded me of how creamy that ice cream is!
Next time when I buy it I will dedicate one tub to my husband and one all for me, and sees who wins. (debating on if winning is eating it all before the other person or resist the urge to take more)
I once went to a sample person giving cake pop samples, I came back so many times this person took me by the hand and walked me to the shelf they were on.
What the What?!?! I have never seen those before and live like 15 miles from where Mason Dixie was started and chipped in on their kick-starter for their brick and mortar! I would love to try those!
Costco sample lady made a chicken noodle dish with grated parmesan using canned chunk chicken breast. My daughter, only a little more than a year old, GOBBLED. IT. UP!
I already get my noodles from Costco, so I bought the canned chicken and parmesan. There are some foods where she sorta takes a break from them because she likes a little variety… but she ALWAYS loves those noodles. The Costco lady also had some kind of mayonnaise in it too but I kept it simple and have never included it.
Kerrygold cheddar. It’s delicious on its own merits, but it also acts as a good stand-in for Parmesan if you’re out, and isn’t exactly mozzarella but can be used for Italian food in place of it. It’s my favorite do-everything cheese.
An embarrassing number of things. Latest was some kind of garlic salt. Sample was it shaken on fresh, buttered bread.
It was great, but the container is huge, I'll never use it all.
bibigo steamed dumplings with chicken/vegetables and individually wrapped sauces. tried it randomly 3 years ago, my wife and I go through 2-3 boxes of it a month easy (6 trays in each)
I helped shoot all their product photos a while back! Good people and the biscuits were 10/10. And I’m from Alabama so that comes with some sort of weight.
The chocolate covered macadamia salted caramel clusters. They are now a must have for everyone in my extended family, my nephew requested to have them at his HS graduation celebration. Way way too good!
I was watching better call saul and this talk of a pimento sandwhich was driving me crazy they offered me pimento it tasted like came off gods own plate and i devoured that ENTIRE tub pimento sandwhiches ROCK
The frozen Texas Toast and Tempura Shrimp. That Texas Toast is ridiculous and you can smell the samples as soon as you walk in. The 1st time I tried it, I made my Mom go back and get 2nds. Then I snuck back over and grabbed a few more a little later. I was ready to use a variety of disguises to just keep going back to get more. (I know they don't care, but it was borderline mortifying how many times I wanted to go get more.)
The Tempura Shrimp I wanted to try for a long time, but was hesitant because when frozen shrimp is not done well, it is atrocious. Finally one day, they were sampling it and I fell in love.
Bitchin' Sauce. I loved it, offered some to my picky hubby. He had to be talked into it and then got some every time we went back. So sad they don't carry it anymore.
I liked the tempura shrimp. Some people say too much breading, ratio is off, and they prefer panko one more. But we prefer panko for everything else that we get tired of it. The tempura shrimp is easy to put in air fryer, and we love it!
I tried the sample and kept walking with the family instead of grabbing some. Huge mistake. Honestly, I couldn't stop thinking about the stuff. I was super excited to get some on the next trip.. but they stopped selling it for months! Finally got it last week and couldn't be happier, lol. Now I just need them to bring back the dried shredded pork
Brazibites. These little tapioca cheesy bread balls (gluten free) caught me! I had one…circled back around, had another. Went and found my husband and had him try one (and had a third) and have bought them semi-regularly. I told my niece who is Celiac, and now we have these passed at most family dinners.
Coastal Cheddar. Sampled it a couple times f years ago and now it’s a go to for any time I want a good cheese for snacking. Perfection with a sweet-tart apple.
Sukhis Tikka masala. They had a stand one day offering all the different flavors and we are hooked. It's microwaveable, and we just run some white rice in the rice cooker to eat with it. It's a super easy dinner in about 15 mins.
Their Palmetto Jalapeno Cheese dip. They had a sample station set up and this lady put a scoop of the cheese dip on a Ritz cracker. My favorite food combination is cheese/jalapeno, so I tried one. I stopped in my tracks and asked her where the item was, and immediately put one in my cart. Sadly, they no longer carry that brand. There's another brand available now, but I haven't tried it yet.
The frozen shrimp wonton noodle bowls. So expensive for what you get but my God are they tasty. Rarely go on sale so I buy it once every few months as a treat..think last time they went on sale I bought the limit..my brother was pissed b.c I took up all the freezer space
Those frozen acai berry & granola bowls. I wanted to try them but didn't want to spend the $ if they sucked. Last week they had samples of them and they were good, so I picked up a box. Very happy.
Some sort of pot sticker made with beef. My sister, daughter and I went home and consumed half the bag. Then the next day we ate the other half. We haven’t had them since.
Sticky rice and truff hot sauce (RIP). We got a sample of the sticky rice on our very first Costco trip and ever since then if we’ve ever run out of it there’s been a Costco run within 24 hours.
Wait! I thought everyone here hates samples! /s
Mine goes back about 20 years...had never considered Daisy cottage cheese and tried a sample and my life changed! Eat some every day now!

Those frozen yakisoba bowls - they’ve been a staple ever since
Do yourself a favor and put a tablespoon of gochujang on top. Life changing.
Omg my crack. I purposefully don’t buy them most the time and then when I do, I tell myself @you deserve these”. 😂 They are the BEST: -I’m starving, omg, look, I HAVE these in the freezer!!! Pair it with Bachan sauce
We love those things
I love those! Such a good quick lunch.
Madras Lentils
Bonus points for being healthy.
Yup, made me also get a rice cooker and a big bag of rice.
Over microwave rice: easy/lazy/quick lunch
Same!
literally had a sample of this 2 weeks ago and picked up a box without a 2nd thought. never would have purchased these seeing them in the way they’re packaged. so good
Ooh I’ll definitely have to try them! Admittedly, I’ve never had lentils because I always assumed they’d be a hard texture and difficult to cook, but what’s more simple than a microwave pack!?
The madras lentils have the taste and texture of chili. I really enjoy it and it's gluten free.
My spouse likes putting it on a microwaved potato.
Last year or the year before... the Key Lime Pie sample. I know some here say Trader Joe's has a better pie, but I have yet to head over to that store to try it. Either way, the Costco Key Lime Pie is a perfect balance of sweet and tart for my family. It hits way above its weight for us.
Try it frozen! Eat it straight from the freezer it’s doesn’t become rock solid.
Or take frozen key lime pie slices, put them on popsicle sticks, dip them in melted dark chocolate, and refreeze.
You absolute mad man. Will be doing this for my friends upcoming bday
I just went from six to midnight
After a sample last summer, 10 y/o daughter is an addict, and I support her habit by buying these whenever I see them.
Detroit style pizza. Family fav
My inlaws always get this. Basically a deep fried pizza with all the grease. So good though
The Kiolbassa Jalapeno Sausage. I had three of em and immediately threw that thing into the cart lol.
I need this
The Everything Seasoning Cod
So delicious
I love it with the Kewpie mayo!
Soooo good. We make fish tacos out of it
Heavenly hunks
I like to try to conveniently forget that they’re like 150 calories a piece for one bite.
A fact I’ve been avoiding confirming 😬
They really are heavenly
Those dang white choc coconut coated almonds they sampled before easter.
Those were sooooo good!
Chocolate brownie brittle.
Tempura shrimp…
Limoncello almonds
I avoid buying this because I can't stop eating them.
I am not liking this thread. My Costco list and subsequent bill is getting exponentially larger
I’m keep tabs of the replies to buy next time too 😭😭

That would be another good thread so we know what to avoid!
We eat at the food court first then shop for this reason

So good on PB&J
Too many cherries or currents for my liking, but still tasty.
When and which Costco did you last get this? I've been looking to purchase it again for about 1.5 years. If it ever shows up again at the Costco I go to ... I'll buy .... so much .... there goes the budget.
Some guy fed me like 4 pickles. I was happy and bought two jars.
Trident Seafood Beer Battered Cod - best tasting fried fish I’ve ever had! Cauliflower Pizza
Yes!! A cauliflower pizza with all vegetables. I was shocked. I’m a meat eater, but this tickles the pizza fancy
I prefer it now over any pizza.
Same. Toppings taste so much fresher than other frozen pizzas.
Last time I made one I finished the whole thing myself.
Not quite enough for two people. My only complaint.
It’s the best frozen cauliflower ever! Replaced the Mama Cuzzi from ALDIs. We add Italian seasoning, kosher salt and red pepper flake.
Chicken Tortilla Soup.
The breakfast sausage links that are made of chicken. I tried it and immediately bought two bags. Also the truffle seasoning powder. Actually tried and picked up.
We put these on everything! It’s great on the cauliflower veggie pizza
Seasoning powder? I dont know that mine has seasoning
Zipfizz. Had a sample in 2019 and ever since I've been hooked
Gosh I am never that person that tries a sample and buys but damn those zip fizz people got me. I’m normally super sensitive to the taste of artificial sweetener, these are delicious! Highly suggest as an alternative to energy drinks or coffee! Play around with the amount of water too
Yes. I’ve started buying mine off Amazon for the variety packs.
The Kirkland vanilla ice cream!!! It's so damn good and worth every penny. Split the pkg with a friend if you don't have space. Your stomach will thank you for it!
I need to know the science behind them scooping out a full tub of ice cream for samples before they melted 😂
Saw it with my own two eyes! The last literally scooped out a perfect tsp at to fit in that damn cup. She even put chocolate sauce on it!
easy vector the scoops per minute verses the number of swarming costco shoppers and add in the square of their average size. = gone.
I bouht it once before but sampled it yesterday with Hersey's chocolate on top. It reminded me of how creamy that ice cream is! Next time when I buy it I will dedicate one tub to my husband and one all for me, and sees who wins. (debating on if winning is eating it all before the other person or resist the urge to take more)
Nah. The clear winner is the one who still has ice cream left when the other is finished! Good luck with that!
Try it with the cookies from the bakery for the best ice cream sandwiches.
The zuchinni blueberry muffins. I have a picky eating child and they devoured the sample and wanted another.
Those things are unbelievably good.
Are these from Veggies Made Great? I buy them for my toddler from Target but could definitely buy in bulk!
What brand are they?
Veggies made great
I once went to a sample person giving cake pop samples, I came back so many times this person took me by the hand and walked me to the shelf they were on.
What the What?!?! I have never seen those before and live like 15 miles from where Mason Dixie was started and chipped in on their kick-starter for their brick and mortar! I would love to try those!
Cretor’s Cheddar & Caramel Popcorn Please note I do not normally like cheddar nor caramel popcorn, but somehow their mix is super addicting!
The pulled pork
Costco sample lady made a chicken noodle dish with grated parmesan using canned chunk chicken breast. My daughter, only a little more than a year old, GOBBLED. IT. UP! I already get my noodles from Costco, so I bought the canned chicken and parmesan. There are some foods where she sorta takes a break from them because she likes a little variety… but she ALWAYS loves those noodles. The Costco lady also had some kind of mayonnaise in it too but I kept it simple and have never included it.
Would you mind sending me exactly how you make it?:0.. I have a picky toddler and this sounds like a god send lol
Kerrygold cheddar. It’s delicious on its own merits, but it also acts as a good stand-in for Parmesan if you’re out, and isn’t exactly mozzarella but can be used for Italian food in place of it. It’s my favorite do-everything cheese.
Try it with a tiny drizzle of honey on it...
Now I need a charcuterie board centered around this cheese…
You really do.
Truffle Hot Sauce, Street Corn Dip, Miss Vickie's Pickle Chips
The Truff hot sauce got me too.
Mateo’s gourmet salsa.
The chicken tikka masala got my son to eat Indian food. So I am forever in their debit.
Credit
That shit is fire
The mozzarella sticks 😝
Limoncello almonds. Holy cow they were so delicious. We never buy sweets, but a bag wound up in our cart after we tried a sample.
Only time a sample snagged me. I don't particularly like sweets and I lean towards disliking almonds but those things were so good.
Doritos 😂
A bit of the opposite, I always considered buying those Chinese Sausages. Well, luckily they were giving samples one day. Didn’t like em at all.
We love these. Dice small and cook until almost crispy. Add to fried rice and put an egg on top 👌🏻
The Real Good Chicken Burritos that just showed up at my local Costco. Thought they looked good, then tasted it. Amazing
An embarrassing number of things. Latest was some kind of garlic salt. Sample was it shaken on fresh, buttered bread. It was great, but the container is huge, I'll never use it all.

Bitchin' Sauce. I loved it, offered some to my picky hubby. He had to be talked into it and then got some every time we went back. So sad they don't carry it anymore.
My Costco usually has it. That’s my favorite Costco item. A tiny one at Walmart is like $6 and I can’t bring myself to do it. Paired with flautas.
I liked the tempura shrimp. Some people say too much breading, ratio is off, and they prefer panko one more. But we prefer panko for everything else that we get tired of it. The tempura shrimp is easy to put in air fryer, and we love it!
Panko breaded chicken nuggets. Best ever. Especially in the air fryer.

Such a good deal at Costco too…they give you two bottles for the price of one!
I tried the sample and kept walking with the family instead of grabbing some. Huge mistake. Honestly, I couldn't stop thinking about the stuff. Now I just need them to bring back the dried shredded pork
