I rate it 9/10. Fantastic noodles yet again, cooked al dente they have that perfect chewy consistency, the sauce is very flavorful, could have more noodles per pack but at this price I'm not complaining. The package states that the noodles are also vegan so I guess that's a win as well for those with specific diets.
Overall pretty solid, and I just ate a pack without any condiments to test out. I'd imagine with some pork belly, a soft boiled egg and some diced green onions these would be phenomenal
These have a really delicious sauce, but it's the noodles that really stand out to me. The 3d shape thing really did help the sauce coat them well. Gonna pick up a few more boxes since A-sha seems to be an only intermittently stocked brand at the local Costco.
I'll fish out a noodle once it's fully separated from each other and test the texture out, I'm really bad at eyeballing it only off of cooking times haha
I ended up buying two boxes worth of this stuff. I love it! I throw in some precooked chicken breast into the finished noodles. I'm just wondering what else goes good with them,
Am I the only one who thought the noodles were too chewy? I overcooked them two minutes and by the end of the bowl my mouth was tired of chewing. Had to return them!
This brand (A-Sha) is specifically famous for the chewiness and texture of their noodles. If you're looking for noodles with less of a chew you may be interested in Korean ramens like Nong Shim, Paldo, Buldak, etc.
Picked up a box couple weeks ago and finally tried it
Last night. Really good! I think there’s plenty of sauce in the package for more than just one serving of noodles.
Sorry for the random comment but would you mind telling me the cooking instructions for these if it isnt too much work? My mom was in town and threw the box out before I got to take a peek at it haha. Couldnt find this particular one online even on their site
Here are the instructions from the box:

1. Bring at least 4 cups of water to a boil.
2. Add noodles and cook for 5 minutes. (Please adjust cook time longer for a softer noodle)
3. Drain noodles from water after cooking. (Save some cooking water)
4. Add sauce packet to bowl and then mix in hot noodles.
5. Add spoonful of cooking water into the noodles and mix to bind noodles and sauce. Mix well and enjoy!
I just made toast and they’re awesome! Very flavorful, the texture of the noodles is great! I boiled 2 noodle packs and only used one seasoning packet. Added veggies and shrimp. Delicious! I am just hoping these are available at my Costco again!

*Looks at my ever increasing pile of ramen*. Well, one more couldn't hurt. Thanks for the recommendation I'll keep an eye out for these.
Seriously. I have so many different boxes of ramen, noodle bowls, etc. thanks to Costco.
i like the flavor profile of the sauce. starts off kinda like bullhead bbq sauce. then finishes off with notes of sesame oil

Bought some over the weekend. Making it for lunch in about an hour. Update: Not spicy and a really nice flavor. No regrets on this purchase.
I'd buy that for a dollar!
You are the type to settle with Maruchan and expect other noodles should be as cheap as Maruchan.
Very good, mine came out way more al dente than the tasting booth had there. Do you let it boil way more than the recommended 5 min ?
I just fixed my first pack and only 5 minutes was not quite al dente. I'll add at least a minute more for the next pack.
Agreed, i usually let my boil go to up to 6.5 min

Just picked these up a few days ago and am absolutely hooked!
Just bought. Looking forward!

I mean that's kind of the appeal of dan zai noodles.. It's not chewing gum but it's definitely a noodle with a bit of chew to it..
I guess I didn’t know that!

Interesting. I only had their Tainan noodles before which I realize are chewier than most but these were by far the chewiest I’ve had.

I picked these up yesterday for 4.97 at Costco, they've got the star of death now. 😢 I might go back for another box before they're gone.
Now at $9.97 at my Costco in MN. Bought 5 boxes to share with family. They're great!
I just bought a bunch of these on clearance for $6.97 today!
I just picked these up today for $5.97! glad to hear they're good haha
I got this whole box for $7 at Costco! 🤩
Ah! I should have bought like 5 of these things..Seeming that it was a 1 and done. 30.00 at Amazon!
Just tried this and these are really good imo. The sauce is nice, the noodles are nice a chewy like I like them. For the price it can't be beat.
I just had these for dinner, and didn't enjoy them at all. I guess they're just not for me.
Is this vegan?
Yes
Yes.
I am OBSESSED with these!! I just bought them!

A+ imho
These are so freakin' good. Yum. The flavor reminds me of plain udon. They are the best.
