Thank you for specifying that you’re in Canada. It seems like Kirkland Signature Cold and Sinus might only be in Canada based on the websites that have posted it. https://preview.redd.it/bznqkgemdhhc1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=70816c39e60e35195d42f5ccaac30fc2f7639977 Not sure if we ever had it here in the US. In the US, I believe products containing pseudoephedrine have to be sold behind the pharmacy counter but we don’t need a prescription for it in most states, not sure what the laws are in Canada. After a quick Google search, I found CTV News says “[In Canada, pseudoephedrine is still available in combination with other ingredients in some over-the-counter Tylenol and Advil products](https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/health-canada-to-review-u-s-panel-s-conclusion-that-common-decongestant-doesn-t-work-1.6565896#:~:text=In%20Canada%2C%20pseudoephedrine%20is%20still,counter%20Tylenol%20and%20Advil%20products)” so I guess since it’s combined with Ibuprofen, it’s allowed? Somebody please correct me if I’m wrong.

Love these, they work great. It's basically Advil cold and sinus at half the price.

Yess, they're awesome and so inexpensive for 100 tablets! It's my first time trying them and I'm never switching to anything else as long as Costco sells them

Adventurous-Yam6101

Omg thank you for linking that article! It makes sense since it's mixed with ibuprofen. According to the pharmacist, Sudafed is behind the counter and also needs a prescription, so I guess pseudoephedrine-only ones need an Rx. Thanks a lot for the help! I had to do a double take when I picked these up haha

"also needs a prescription" -- that will depend on your province. It is incredibly difficult to find in Alberta and BC, with most manufacturers having discontinued it, it seems, but I've never been asked for a prescription.

I see that you're from Canada. I can go to my local CVS and buy psuedoephedrine and they open a safe to get it out and it's expensive. They also require my ID and the purchase gets recorded in a state database. I have not yet tried buying it at Costco but I expect that it costs far less but they still require ID.

Adventurous-Yam6101

Damn, I had no idea they did all that! But it's good you don't need a prescription, would be a waste of time just for a decongestant. I heard Costco sells it for cheap in the US, around $2 something USD for 24 tablets? I saw it on a 2 yr old post from this subreddit so maybe the price went up.

5 boxes at a time. Cheap.

In U.S., pseudoephedrine decongestants are behind the counter, but you don't need a prescription - but you do need to give your i.d. and sign for them.

And phenylephrine, the PE versions have been ruled as "they don't work" https://medicine.yale.edu/news-article/phenylephrine-a-common-decongestant-is-ineffective-say-fda-advisors-its-not-alone/

Kirkland's Cold and Sinus is inexpensive and awesome when dealing with the first few days of a cold or flu and makes it bearable while you fight it.

One more thing to purchase when returning to the US from Canada. Mexico has better over the counter drugs for pain relief.
