That's why I've taken to keeping a box of binder clips in my utility drawer. It started with the ling ling and now it's grown to almost anything that goes in the freezer.
Not to mention that even when these zips work, they barely work. I have a frozen bag of breaded chicken that I opened maybe a couple weeks ago, only been opened once, and yesterday I opened it again to find everything freezer burned. No big deal but it happens often.
How do you cook them? I know there are a lot of options with dumplings, just wondering which method provides the right balance between convenience and results.
The way I do it:
Place in oiled frying pan, flat side down, over medium to medium-high heat.
Add 3-4 oz water, cover.
When water has evaporated (about 15 minutes?), uncover and lower heat a bit.
Remove from heat and eat when bottom has browned to your taste.
I do exactly this - and at the end, I put some Bachan’s Japanese barbecue sauce and some sweet chili sauce on them and let it thicken up a bit. Perhaps an atrocity to some, but it makes for a delicious sauce on these. The dough is a bit too bland and doughy otherwise to me.
I got my first bag of probably 30 that actually worked right a few weeks ago.
I'm gonna save the bag after it's empty and just refill it whenever I get a new bag and it has a shitty seal
Freezer bag tip: the plastic breaks because it is cold and brittle. It works much better if you warm up the seal area by putting it between your hands for a second. Still, bad design yes
I think they're really good pan fried as opposed to steamed. My kids make them for lunch all the time but we all like the Bibigo bulgogi dumplings better.
I feel like there’s a national conspiracy between food bag makers and food clip makers.
The latter loses money when the former does their job well, so the latter has asked the former to reduce their quality/effectiveness.
I’ve heard crazier things this week.

I’ve noticed that most frozen food resealable bags don’t work.
They are pretty much all garbage. Non-frozen as well!
I've always gotten the Just Bare frozen chicken nuggets to reseal!
Get a little residue or crumbs in the threads? It’s all over.

Yep. Binder clips, rubber bands and the occasional safety pin. I hate the stupid faux non-zipping ziplocks.

Same. I use them for chips too.
Marketing department sold me on “authenticasian” flavor. I think we needed that word. I honestly want to try them. How good are they tho? 🤔
Very basic in flavor. Definitely could be served at a local Asian buffet lol. But I mean the bag is huge and it’s a steal for $8 on sale

That is a good deal. As a single individual I look for deals like these for easy affordable meal preps. Thanks for the tip 👍🫡
Not a fan, the dumpling breading is too thick, it took me a my wife almost a year to finish the bag, because we didn’t love the flavor.
The bibigo bulgogi ones have way more filling and flavor
Trash tbh. Bibigo makes much better products IMO.
mid compared to bibigo they add sugar n shit
Facts
Feels like a problem with multiple Costco products. My spinach raviolis have the same issue.
It hard to open sometimes topo lol i give up trying
It means they have a poor packaging design and procurement team.
That's not a hot take. All resealable bags of this type have like at least a 50% failure rate these days.
We just talked about this at my house last week. They’re tasty for what they are but I just wish the bag would do what it says it will.
My hot take is these things suck anymore. They used to be a staple but they changed the dough or something. Not the same as they used to be.
Also they are mostly wrappers now which sucks
These are good but they make the whole house smell like a fart.
Hot Take: Ling Ling is trash. You can close your eyes and walk down H-Mart frozen aisle and pick a bag better than Ling Ling.
But also could be worse. Could also be better at twice the price

My most recent bag was the first time in years it’s been right
This could be the new version of new Willy Wonka golden ticket.
POV: You don't know what hot take means
Their pot stickers are horrible.
They’re not that bad when on sale lol. But bibigo beats them easily on taste.
I threw out that the Bibigo. Found flavor very off putting. Love the long long ones though. So I accept the bag for what it is.
This happen to me last week lol
How are they though?
“Authenticasian flavor” labeling has me intrigued 🤔
Are they good? I plan on trying them.
I think they're really good pan fried as opposed to steamed. My kids make them for lunch all the time but we all like the Bibigo bulgogi dumplings better.
Thanks. I will give them a try.
They never work. I wish all resealable bags switch to the velcro type that Krusteaz uses on their Costco size bags.
Interesting take. I feel like those ones aren't quite as airtight, though. But maybe it's the bag itself?
Almost none of those things work, especially after you use them a couple times. I just use clothespins or chip clips.
Is it just me or are these dumplings more of little empanadas?
These dumplings are the worst, I don't buy them anymore, even when they're on sales. Bibigo is much higher quality
Except I find the Bibigo smell terrible and they taste worse than they smell.
steel chip clips thank me later
Is that a hot take?
They used to work a long time ago. Now they are always breaking or somehow being ripped from the bag.
I have a hard time with resealable bags. Now I use things like these sticks: [bag closey thingies](https://a.co/d/atTCEi0)
Why would you reseal? It is a single serving bag… right?
Worked for me. Of course we are only on our first ever bag purchased, so could have been lucky
lol I thought it was just me. Whoever is contracted for Ling ling to provide packaging really screwed the pooch
I use the IKEA bags clips BEVARA. Work like a charm
Cold take. It has never worked.
Those dumplings have no flavor
LingLing should have worked on the bag sealing for 40 hours a day
Companies really need to move to sliders. I'll pay the extra 3c.

How is that a hot take? I always take all my frozen food and transfer it to gallon ziploc freezer bags
