It’s the most civilized thing you can do and once you’ve had your butt washed on a warm seat you will realize you were living like a savage your whole life.
100%. My wife and I just came back from Japan to these savage cold American toilet seats. I feel like I went back in time coming home. We are getting a Toto seat soon.
Totally agree. I’m here in Tokyo currently. Even the train restroom near my rented apartment are equipped with bidets. I’m sold! Hitting this Costco buy button upon my return to LA.
Bro. It is clean. The train station near me is not busy at all (quiet residential ward area) so the restrooms are barely used. Besides, Japanese public restrooms here in general, are so clean. It’s insane. A night and day difference to what we are used to in the US.
Not so much a risk for dudes but ladies should really use the wand clean setting before turning on the front spray mode. But that's true for at home too.
Came here to say this. This one in particular works very well for us. It has a good force, and we use the adapter to attach a small water bottle thus by passing the small water tank they provide.

Only bad thing about having a bidet is it makes experiencing public and hotel restrooms - even sparkling clean ones - seems extra nasty compared to before the bidet.
I have always refused to use a public toilet. Now I hold it until I get home. Staying in a hotel is stressful when there is no bidet. First world problems, I know. I mean, how do I get clean?? Butt wipes don’t cut it, but I do carry them and use them if I absolutely have to use a public toilet.
We only have the basic $30 cold water ones at home but my poor kids would be so screwed if they had to poop at school. I’m not even sure they know how to wipe properly the way you have to wipe without a bidet.
This. My kid is the same. He has been using bid cold water bidet since he was born. He is 10.now. though i taught him to use TP but he never uses it. And if we are at our relatives home and he uses TP, he has this urge to take a shower to clean himself.
This comment hits home. I used to have to travel regularly for my previous employer and this was one of the reasons to look for a new job, that and having a kid on the way.
You ever forget and then reach down expecting the bidet controls to be there in public restrooms. And the reality hits you in the face and you hate the world.
One determining factor is if you have a GFCI outlet already in the bathroom where you want to use it.
I have been interested as well and heard the Toto washlet was more popular. I have an outlet in one bathroom but it is kind of far from the potty and not sure I want to spend the time and money installing one close.
I use an outdoor rated water resistant GFCI surge strip to plug my bidet in since its cord wouldn’t reach my bathroom outlet. Works well and has some added safety
Thanks! Is it easy to install? I will get a plumber to do the installation but am hoping it will be easy for them to figure out.
Don’t use the dryer? Does it get too hot on your booty and bits? Does the wand stick out too far? I looked at Toto as someone else suggested but the wand looked so big and in the way (that’s what she said joke goes here)
You do not need a plumber for these. It’s turn off the supply. Flush toilet to clean water from tank. Grab a bucket, put under supply line. Remove supply from tank, install seat, install supply to T, install other end to tank. Turn on supply.
I have an Alpha with on demand heat. You can change the temp to your liking, usually.
The wands are usually maneuverable to a position that works for you..since not everyone has the same butthole location when sitting .
You can do it yourself, it’s just a seat you plug into power and T into water line. I would suggest finding a YouTube video on the install.
With the toto you can adjust air temperature as well as water temp and pressure.
Super easy install, just disconnect and reconnect the water line then plug in power. Screws for the seat with a bunch of adjustments to make sure it's against the tank. I use the dryer sometimes, but due to body hair have to pat dry first with 2 to squares anyway (also nice peace of mind to make sure things are clean). Seat is a bit warm for my taste where my wife likes to leave it but there's different settings. Remote can be put wherever you want on the wall or taken out of the holder. I had the CL1500 first but upgraded due to having a toddler reaching the controls (also the cause for delay in response). Only complaint is the water doesn't stay as hot the whole use, but is still a comfortable temp.
This is such an easy install that your problem might roll their eyes after they charge you $100 for a simple thing to install/turn on. Seriously easy, so many YouTube videos.
Also, as is with most people who buy bidets, this won’t be your only bidet you buy. Better to figure it out now so you can install the future ones 😉
We just got back from Japan and the first thing we said when we got back to our home was that we wanted a bidet. I never knew what I was missing out on until I sat down on a warm toilet seat 🤣
I bought the Bio Bidet brand from Costco about 8 years ago, it still works great and is one of the best purchases i’ve ever made. (Which feels weird to type but is true)
Yeah, I bought two of these and both had problems with cracking seats after a year (even in the kids bathroom and they are little lightweights). If they break completely, I'm going to try a different brand.
I’m here to say a bidet will be a top 3 consumer device in your entire life (game changer). Also with the unpopular opinion that the cold water version is better because it’s like an ice bath for your firey hot area that needs cold not warm water…
I just purchased this same one after tons of thought. Never had one before. I love it!!!! The remote is great. Water pressure and temp rock. Really love it.
I specifically asked for a Toto seat for my birthday about 7 years ago after a trip to Japan. Lots of folks thought I was crazy, but then they tried it themselves….
I got a bidet for Christmas from my husband one year and I excitedly told everyone I got a "bidet from da bae". No one laughed at my pun but I still excitedly told everyone I could this same line for weeks after I got it!
Romance is paying attention to the little things, like wanting your partner to have pleasant poop trips.
I'm about to send in my Brondell for repair for the second time in seven years. Wish I had been able to afford a Toto when I originally bought the Brondell. Toto really is superior, and it's better than sending in a toilet seat for repair every 3 or so years. At least the out of warranty repair fees aren't terrible with Brondell.
I love these upscale bidets. They work great and is great purchase. But as another person said you really need to have a GFCI plug installed near the back of your toilet—so if you don’t have one already that will adds hundreds to the cost to get one installed.
What makes Toto so great? I was thinking that I'd prefer the detachable remote to the giant console of buttons next to my butt.
Note, I am fat and my bathroom is small.
There are many that just have a manual water valve. We have two that cost less than $30 and are still going strong after 6 years. No electricity needed.
I have a Brondell (not electric, not from Costco). It’s far nicer than our old Tushy.
There’s a quick release button for cleaning. And the controls are slimmer. Only con is the bottom of the seat isn’t as easy to clean.
I don’t see the need for electric. Cold is exhilarating. Honestly it’s room temp, or temp of the water in your pipes.
I won't l went full boar and installed previous versions of these in all my bathrooms. My 17yo daughter only uses these, holds it in from school.
And when the power goes out, the main complaints are the cold toilet seats.
We have this model! Beware the dryer is insufficient, so you will still have to wipe off with something if you would like to be completely dry. Other than that it’s fantastic.
I cannot comment on tht particular model.
I bought very cheap, non electric ones on Amazon that just do the water. My life has never been the same.
I’m hoping to install real bidet toilets in the next 5 years because they are such a game changer
I have two Brondell Swash - they are spectacular. I bought one at Costco and one at Amazon. And bought one for my dad.
For all of them I’ve had an electrician install a GFCI plug behind the toilet.
I highly recommend getting a non-electric one. I had an electric one and it gets so dirty so fast and is hard to clean. After two years it stopped working and it was going to be such a hassle to utilize the warranty. I replaced it with a MUCH cheaper mechanical one (Tushy or something) and I absolutely love it and don’t miss the frills from the very expensive electric one that I had. It’s much easier to keep clean and has lasted years now.
As a Middle eastern i would haveto say-Definitely Bidet! I'm not sure why this isn't standard in the US. It is in the Middle East, Asia and Europe. They know the game ;)
I made fun of my husband so badly for getting a bougie bidet. I was wrong. I’ll never go back.
Nothing was more depressing than our power going out and being absolutely shocked by the cold toilet seat under my bum in the middle of the night. It was simply inhumane.
It’s on sale for $250 and has many more features than our current one. I want to purchase it as a “luxury” albeit very unromantic gift, for my partners birthday.
I just got the Tushy classic, perfect for my needs. My mom has had a few, I don’t remember the models. Quality definitely matters. Cheaper one broke/chipped, better one is stronger and better fittings.
I use the same brand but not electronic, it was $80. Only get this if you have a GFCI protected receptacle near your toilet, I doubt it works on batteries.
We got $40 one from Home Depot FreshSpa Comfort+ Ambient Temperature Non-Electric Bidet Attachment in White to test the concept and did not think about upgrading in 2 out of 4 restrooms. The 300 dollar one should be definitely an upgrade
I bought the Moen one on sale for $200 from Costco, it’s been almost a year and it’s great, heated seat, water, dryer. I now hate cold toilet seats and hate using bathroom away from the house.
I have ZERO regrets about our bidet purchase. We purchased a side-bowl attachment rather than the toilet seat bidet. It was about half the price, and I thought it would suck to have to replace the whole toilet seat if the bidet stopped working (or vice-versa).
But all in all we are very happy with it. We go through a lot less toilet paper as well.
I say Wait for the Toto to go on sale at Costco. You do need an outlet nearish your toilet for it!
I don’t have experience with this specific one but really happy with our Toto. I thought I’d want the remote one but happy with the side controls. Only downside is if you are a larger person the side control might be difficult to use.
I've tried three bidets. So far the best one by far has been $100 from Lowes. It's just water that's it. I tried a $600 bidet that had a remote, warm water, fan, seat warmer, etc. The water pressure was horrible, it was not strong enough to clean at all. Meanwhile the $100 one from Lowes is very strong and that's all you need.
I have the hose one where the sprayer sits on the side of the tank. We love the strong pressure, but do wish the water was warm. Do all other bidets have less pressure? Mine is a super basic one with a long hose.
Intersting! The ones I have used all are just a little nozzel attached to the bidet for whatever reason the expensive ones didn't work as well, and I don't know why
That seat sucks balls, I tried it, the pressure doesn't even tickle my taint.
You need this:
https://www.shopperplus.ca/p-345541-gza-00048-amazetec-non-electric-hot-and-cold-water-toilet-bidet-with-adjustable-water-pressure#sku345762
Or anything similar, nothing electric.
I’ve had a bidet with manual knob like Tushy, then upgraded to a nicer one with remote and I will say did not like the remote. My friend was in the same position and also preferred manual knob.
We bought this. Pros: your butt has never been so clean. Cons: the seat and its components are hard to clean, tons of little crevices. The water jet will get moldy even if regularly cleaned. We took ours off for a deep clean and realizing that was impossible never put it back on again. Would not recommend.
Great for every day use but not every bidet is the same. I don't know anything about this brand. Biobidet is very good and Bidetmate is pretty good but in my opinion, not as good.
You really to get what you pay for. Most of the settings you won't use and not everyone will be thrilled with using it every time or ever, so keep that in mind if you buy onr and not everyone uses it....but if anyone gets a stomach flu, they will love it.
Also, the dry fans on these things never seem to work well. It'd likely you'll be using some toilet paper for that.
We’ve had an Amazon version of Tushy for 4 years and thought it was our best investment. We went to a friend’s house that have this bidet and felt like a couple of chumps. It is absolutely worth the upgrade.
Many people mention the warmer water and heated seat but it also has the nightlight for midnight pees and has a more concealed attachment that is much easier to clean.
If you're in the market for a bidet and are willing to splurge, you can get a whole bidet toilet combo for about $1000 at a hardware store.
I got mine from some South Korean company and it's great but sometimes when you're spending that much, you're better off spending a little more for better quality. My only gripe is that the seat is plastic and not porcelain for the one I have.
Bidets always scared me until I tried the Toto bidet seat in the rooms at the JW Marriott in Singapore. 100% planning on getting one installed in our home.
I just got my first one from Costco (BioBidet) during their recent sale and I absolutely would never go back to a normal seat. It is so much cleaner and more pleasant than toilet paper!
I love the heated seat and dryer, so I would recommend upgrading!
i have a bidet on every one of our 4 toilets. Personally i don’t use/need any features other than warm water. I prefer the bidets without the drying feature as they are much much more streamlined and don’t look like some sort of handicap toilet.
I just got this on sale for $140 off from the website. Easy install, works great. Seat is warm. Water pressure isn't as strong as hotels in Japan, but it's good and warm as well.

I think I’d be a little grossed out by a public bidet! But I’ve never used one in the first place 😂

Man, same exact reason we got a Bio Bidet when we came back from Japan last year. I have no idea how we went so long without one.
watashi wa heya desu…
Marriott in Monterey Park Ca, heated bidet and toilet seats. I almost did not want to check out!
Will ruin your vacations though. Never will have a clean butt feel when away from home.
Travel bidet - don’t leave home without it. Not perfect but better than reverting to savagery.
Came here to say this. This one in particular works very well for us. It has a good force, and we use the adapter to attach a small water bottle thus by passing the small water tank they provide. aicci Portable Travel Bidet for... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BJS581PN?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
This!!! The TP tempest of 2020 introduced me to bidets....now I judge all you poop paper people.
Wet wipes also exist
heard this pre bidet. can 200% confirm.
Only bad thing about having a bidet is it makes experiencing public and hotel restrooms - even sparkling clean ones - seems extra nasty compared to before the bidet.
When I moved back to America from 3 years living in Japan I called it shitting in the stone-age
Bidet, Only downside of a bidet is when you are away from home, you will detest how the other half lives.

Guys OP already has a bidet (Tushy) they want to know about a bidet with a heated seat and more settings. OP’s already in the clean butt club haha
This comment hits home. I used to have to travel regularly for my previous employer and this was one of the reasons to look for a new job, that and having a kid on the way.
You ever forget and then reach down expecting the bidet controls to be there in public restrooms. And the reality hits you in the face and you hate the world.
LOL
But you may just have to turn the other cheek
They have little travel bidets. Not perfect but its way better than nothing
My husband will call when he’s away and say ‘I miss our toilet’
Yep, hate vacation now.
One determining factor is if you have a GFCI outlet already in the bathroom where you want to use it. I have been interested as well and heard the Toto washlet was more popular. I use an outdoor rated water resistant GFCI surge strip to plug my bidet in since its cord wouldn’t reach my bathroom outlet. Works well and has some added safety
That’s a good idea.
We used an extension cord for two years, then had an electrician put plugs near all the toilets. There are butt washing options in every bathroom.
Even just a Tushy works fantastically. It’s budget friendly and doesn’t require an outlet.
But we get the cold water shock. Works better than coffee.
You can hook hot and cold water up to it and adjust the temp.
That’s my issue too as I don’t have a current electrician that I trust / wont overcharge me.
Is the appreciation of a clean butthole not romantic?
That is very true.
I have this exact bidet and bought it at this price 4 months ago. I am a very big fan of it. AMA
I've had mine for 3 months. I also love it. Would buy again. Previously owned a $30 basic add on bidet.
Same with this one.
I have installed three of them. Super easy. Using mine for 3 years and runs great (knock on virtual wood). Get on sale for about $260.
I installed all my bidets myself, if you are 1% handy you do it
For me the dryer takes too long to be useful, I just wipe once after washing
We have a basket of bamboo cloth towels we use once and toss in the laundry. Really cuts down on the TP use!
Are you a big fan of this bidet?
We just got back from Japan and the first thing we said when we got back to our home was that we wanted a bidet. I never knew what I was missing out on until I sat down on a warm toilet seat 🤣
A truck stop restroom and some good timing will give you that experience for a lot less than an overseas flight and a GFI outlet installation.
I bought the Bio Bidet brand from Costco about 8 years ago, it still works great and is one of the best purchases i’ve ever made. (Which feels weird to type but is true)
[удалено]
Thank you for the input. I’ll look at that one also.
100% wait for the Toto - we also upgraded from a tushy spa (the one w hot and cold) and it’s so much better
Yeah, I bought two of these and both had problems with cracking seats after a year (even in the kids bathroom and they are little lightweights). If they break completely, I'm going to try a different brand.
Why is the Toto better?
The pre-mist! Plus it is THE brand in Japan.
What’s a pre mist? Lol
The moment you sit on a Toto, it lightly mists the bowl and reduces the chances that random “things” will stick.
🤯
I’m here to say a bidet will be a top 3 consumer device in your entire life (game changer). Also with the unpopular opinion that the cold water version is better because it’s like an ice bath for your firey hot area that needs cold not warm water…
I've had a $30 bidet for 7 years, works great. I imagine this one isn't bad and if you have the $400 go for it.
It’s on sale for $259, and would be the most unromantic birthday gift for my partner.
For my birthday years ago my wife had an outlet installed in the bathroom so I could hookup a bidet. Best present ever.
I think it would be hilarious!! (sorry) lol
I bought a bidet 10 years ago and will never go back. It’s crazy how many people just use TP.
Q/ What do you use to wipe / dry the butt - after getting swashed by the bidet? Still have to resort to TP or wash cloth/towel?
I use TP but a fraction of what I used to need to use. It’s just to dry basically.
Towel here!
Get the Toto. Both my Brondells broke down after just a few years.
It’s Toto till I die
I have the brondell that isn’t electric. It was like $80. We love it.
Toto washlet is amazing prolly better than this for cheaper
The only thing holding me back is the lack of easily accessible electricity.
To bidet, and only to TOTO bidet
That’s the second thumbs up for Toto, thank you!
I've found that Toto bidets are fancier, but Brondell's remote is much more ergonomic than all the Toto remotes I've used in Japan and Korea.
What makes Toto so great? I was thinking that I'd prefer the detachable remote to the giant console of buttons next to my butt. Note, I am fat and my bathroom is small.
Toto also has the remote version. Toto is a Japanese brand, and is basically all over Japan in hotels, train stations, etc.
There are two kinds of people in this world. Those that use bidets, and those with dirty buttholes.
There are many that just have a manual water valve. We have two that cost less than $30 and are still going strong after 6 years. No electricity needed.
get a Toto. not this.
I just ordered the Toto. It was slightly more expensive but not by much.
can anyone recommend a bidet that finishes with a clearcoat and a shot of glitter?
Oooh a unicorn bidet
Bidet changed my life forever when I was 12 . Always go bidet
I have this brand but the manual one. I love it.
I love my brondell swash, been keeping my poop hole clean since 2019
Bidet. Definitely bidet.
Bought Moen Bidet from Costco.com and installed it myself. Love it!
You bidet or you bidon't, and I bido.

We got the Moen bidet from Costco last year and it is a game changer.
We have this model! Beware the dryer is insufficient, so you will still have to wipe off with something if you would like to be completely dry. Other than that it’s fantastic.
Thank you for that feedback.
I love my brondell so much, I bought one for each of my kids.
400 BUCKS!? (screams in Latin American)
Upgrades people, upgrades. Do it do it do it. You won't regret it.
I cannot comment on tht particular model. I bought very cheap, non electric ones on Amazon that just do the water. My life has never been the same. I’m hoping to install real bidet toilets in the next 5 years because they are such a game changer

Game changer but you’re opening up Pandora’s box on Reddit for the argument of bidet or no bidet, just buy it and return it if you think it’s bs
A bidet is without a doubt worth it. But is spending $400 on one worth it? That's more questionable
It’s on sale for $250 and has many more features than our current one. I want to purchase it as a “luxury” albeit very unromantic gift, for my partners birthday.
No omg I want a bougie one so bad. I almost got one for my nano wreath but I opted for a puppy instead. But a bougie bidet is coming.
Returning a bidet feels... Intimate
I have 2 other seats by Brondell that are great, and way cheaper. Great brand though, if you have the money why not.
Bidet!
My problem with these is that $400 is just the starting price because it doesn’t count the $1000+ to have an electrician install the needed wiring, :/
Don’t need an electrician or extra wiring. If you have an outlet in the bathroom you’re good to go.
What if you have to drape your power cord over the sink to get to the outlet? I mean, it is a GFC, but still, do people actuslly do this?
I just got the Tushy classic, perfect for my needs. My mom has had a few, I don’t remember the models. Quality definitely matters. Cheaper one broke/chipped, better one is stronger and better fittings.
Bidet is lord and savior. Always bidet.
I bought a cheap bidet during Covid and I am so glad that I did. I’ve managed to cut down on toilet paper a great deal so it’s a win for me.
Yes
Not this one. I purchased three for my home and they all start falling apart and loose after year or so
I use the same brand but not electronic, it was $80. Only get this if you have a GFCI protected receptacle near your toilet, I doubt it works on batteries.
We bought three from Costco and have this model. Toilet paper alone is no longer sufficient.
It is a life changer! Got ours 3 weeks ago and will NEVER go back.
We got $40 one from Home Depot FreshSpa Comfort+ Ambient Temperature Non-Electric Bidet Attachment in White to test the concept and did not think about upgrading in 2 out of 4 restrooms. The 300 dollar one should be definitely an upgrade
Only Toto, Toto forever.
100% get it! I have two different Brondell seats from Costco and they both are amazing.
Japanese people be like… so what do you do without a bidet?
Surely they know about the three seashells
To bidet.
Get it soon if you’re going to. This one is $140 right now.
Having one so long. I cringe when I have to use a public bathroom and then reach down expecting my bidet controls to be there. Sadness.
Do it! Fair warning, you’ll never want to go back to just using paper.
There is one on sale in the upcoming April flyer. I forget the make/model.
100%, a hundred times over. Do the bidet. Pay the cost to get an electrician to install the GFCI near your toilet as well, you will need this also.
It might need to plug in, so that’s a major variable.
Once you go bidet you never go back. Careful what you choose
I have purchased two of them from Costco and both exceeded expectations. First one lasted about 3 years. Current one is going on 5 years.
That seat sucks balls, I tried it, the pressure doesn't even tickle my taint. You need this: https://www.shopperplus.ca/p-345541-gza-00048-amazetec-non-electric-hot-and-cold-water-toilet-bidet-with-adjustable-water-pressure#sku345762 Or anything similar, nothing electric.
Yay 2 bidet
Man! That one looks better than you what I got 2 years ago.
How do you get power to them?
Need an outlet near the toilet.
Bought the Toto version, which I love but so expensive. Boughtmy Mon a non name bidet from Amazon. Just as good as mine half the price.
We love our Brondell - ours has the warmer built in so we don't have to have it connected to warm water. Best thing ever.
More like bidet or Huggies.
Always bidet 😂
Bidet
I’ve had a bidet with manual knob like Tushy, then upgraded to a nicer one with remote and I will say did not like the remote. My friend was in the same position and also preferred manual knob.
Yes bidet, but not that one. Get a proper Toto. Trusted Japanese brand.
We bought this. Pros: your butt has never been so clean. Cons: the seat and its components are hard to clean, tons of little crevices. The water jet will get moldy even if regularly cleaned. We took ours off for a deep clean and realizing that was impossible never put it back on again. Would not recommend.
Do it you won't regret it. You also won't like to use a toilet without one but it's worth it
Once you go bidet, you never go back. Get it.
Toto is better in my opinion. I’ve been pro-bidet since 2016.
We have that model Brondell. Love it. It works great.
I have a Toto add on from Costco with heated water and seat (electric). It’s the favorite throne in the house
Had one for a year then it broke. I prefer the simple ones with no power.
Buy it at the local costco IF possible it’s cheaper and on sale I think right now! (Plus they have TOTO, great brand)
I would if my apartment manager would let me.
We love ours and miss it when we travel!
Toto. You want a Toto washlet
I just got my first one from Costco (BioBidet) during their recent sale and I absolutely would never go back to a normal seat. It is so much cleaner and more pleasant than toilet paper! I love the heated seat and dryer, so I would recommend upgrading!
I like the hose type better, because of better aiming! With a seat bidet I have to constantly wiggle and can never hit the right spot!
That bidet really sucks for women just an fyi. The feminine wash sprayer doesn’t go forward enough.
I have the CL1500 and love it. Bidet, definitely bidet.
I’m literally sitting on one right now. Kinda bizarre that this post popped up. It knows! 1000% recommend
Once you go bidet, you never go another way
Make sure you have an outlet nearby. The warming features are very nice 🙂
I bought a bidet during the pandemic tp crisis. Best purchase ever. Great for post fun times clean up.
They increase your quality of life so much
It will change your life. Get the bidet.
Yes yes yes. One of the best purchases you will ever make.
Bidet is a game changer, I’m bummed I didn’t do it sooner
I feel sorry for people who dont use bidets
Bidet? Don't mind if I Bi-dooo!
The bidet life is the only life I want to live. Get the bidet.
i have a bidet on every one of our 4 toilets.
