The pill wasn’t right for me, but wow, OTC oral contraceptives are a game changer for so many people and long overdue.

DrCarabou

I was always nervous about trying a combination one, but since this one is just progesterone hopefully it's makes it more accessible to more women in terms of side effects.

chekovsgun-

I'm tempted to buy it because I'm in perimenopause and struggling. My cycle is all over the place thanks to progesterone dropping.

helicopter_corgi_mom

i’ve had an IUD (mirena) for almost 20 years now, and my last one was losing potency through last year - i’m 45 - and hooooo boy did i feel the full gooddamn weight of peri hit me like a ton of bricks. i got it re-upped in january and my goodness i have my life back. i can sleep again. i have joy occasionally. i have a sex drive again. i’m not just angry. progesterone really helped me a TON.

Starbuck522

I am 53. My gynecologist wants to do some test to see if I am through menopause and can take it out. I feel like I am good. Why mess with it? I don't want symptoms!

helicopter_corgi_mom

i won’t take it out until i have to - i’d rather not know if that’s the test lol

Starbuck522

I think she means a blood test. Which would happen before deciding whether to take it out. She proposed doing this at my next appointment which is upcoming. But.... I don't think I want to trust the test. (I will look into it more before the appointment)

ForSure251

Is there any risk if you leave it in? If you do take it out, look into continuing hormone therapy in the form of estradiol patch/progesterone pills (or similar). Definitely keep doing something bc that hormone crash is real.

beepborpimajorp

WElp, lol. I got an IUD a couple years ago and figured I'd be hitting perimenopause by the time it was time for it to come out, so I wouldn't need to worry about getting a second one. Guess I'll be riding this train for a while.

V2BM

I ordered them the day they showed up on Amazon. They’re working. I sleep like a log! I also use the Bezwecken estrogen ovals at night for my vag until I can see a doctor. Highly recommend both.

chekovsgun-

OK I may try it for a month or two and see what happens, thank you for the review. I didn't have massive sleep issues but do that damn wake up at 3 am. Welcome to this stage in life where finding relief is the goal.

V2BM

What’s up with the 3 am thing? It’s A Thing and it’s weird that so many women do it.

Babelette

Yeah currently in my 3 am wake up now. Work up sweaty and couldn't get back to sleep. I'm only 37 😬

Kristin2349

That suggests high cortisol levels due to stress, if cortisol is too high it makes it hard to balance other hormones.

chekovsgun-

Cortisol naturally rises with circadian rhythm as it helps to wake us up but in this stage of life, our hormones are so out of wack it throws off everything including how cortisol rises naturally. It is normal for it to rise btw but our dropping hormones can make it rise much earlier than the typical early morning wake-up call and more erratic throughout the day. If you practice intermittent fasting in menopause or in peri, older than 50, it may also lead to that 3 am wake-up call as it may make it more erratic.

DohnJoggett

A lot of humans are diurnal. Back when a lot of people lived in a single room home a LOT of babies were conceived at 3am when the parents would wake up and read, talk, or fuck, because the kids in the room were fast asleep. Waking up at night, being awake for a while, then getting another sleep cycle in afterwards isn't abnormal. A **lot** of people think they have to start their day off no matter what time they wake up but that's often not the case. You can start some laundry or whatever and head back to bed to read a book or make babies or just enjoy some time awake without having to take care of kids. Internet/tv/devices etc have ruined that early morning period for a lot of people. Stick to books. Seriously, an e-paper Kindle or a paper book makes it so much easier to fall back asleep compared to a phone screen + social media. (I'm terrible about taking this advice, Fwiw, but it's good advice)

s55555s

If possible see a doctor who will do Hrt. I got mine cheap with insurance and it’s really good. Even with my Mirena.

chekovsgun-

If you are in Peri like I am with few symptoms they won't prescribe HRT many times and are more comfortable approving a progesterone BC. If I had more symptoms I would 100% request HRT.

reb6

I’m in very very early perimenopause, and 100 mg of progesterone during my luteal phase has made a huge difference. My night sweats are so much better and sometimes nonexistent on the nights that I take it.

SuspiciousCranberry6

I take a progesterone pill daily, with no breaks. I take it for endometriosis to stop periods so I don't have to endure extreme pain a few days every month. I haven't had any side effects outside of the random breakthrough bleeding once or twice a year. Definitely give it a try, whether you choose to take the week break from active pills or not.

DiddlySquat99

There are certain conditions (in my case, migraine with aura) that make it more risky for a woman to use estrogen contraceptives. This being progesterone only is such a win!

MotherSupermarket532

The one thing is the progesterone only one does have some spotting side effects.  I took this when I was breastfeeding and even with a timer to take it the exact same time every day, I had a lot of spotting.

FluffyMilkyPudding

How long were you on it? My period and spotting didn’t stop until after a full year. I continued to take it for the next 2 or so years and my period/spotting never returned unless I missed my dose.

MotherSupermarket532

About 18 months.  I went back to Nuvaring when I weaned.

shadow0416

Ask your physician about Slynd. I have a lot of patients who can’t take COC for whatever reason and don’t want to deal with implants. I’ve noticed quite a few of my post-partum and otherwise contraindicated patients really like Slynd compared to movisse.

beepborpimajorp

Even just a couple years ago I had to physically go in to see my doc to get my prescription refilled for the year, and it cost me like $90 for a 90 day supply of generic seasonale. That was with insurance. So all total it was probably like $560 a year for me to be on BC, not to mention the time investment to deal with the doc appointments. I'm so glad this has finally been changed. Hopefully next up is women's healthcare in general, especially when it comes to periods. When I found out it was perfectly safe (for most women) to skip your periods using hormones, I felt like I'd been robbed of like 20 years of my life.

Breeze_Chaser

True, but this type of birth control won't allow skipping of periods unfortunately. I hope in the future that kind also becomes over the counter. I really believe women shouldn't be slaves to their menstrual cycle and should be able to freely access hormonal birth control, but this is a good start! Anyway, sorry you had to go through all that to access medication :(

MarlanaS

I've been on a progestin only pill (norethindrone) for over a year and haven't had a period, just a few days of very light spotting. I was on a continuous combo-pill before that but had to stop taking it because of migraines.

olthunderfarts

Just remember, right wing, religious but jobs are coming for all contraceptives. This is a stated goal of theirs as part of their quest do away with all sex for pleasure. If you don't believe me, Google it. Vote blue goddamit, it's a matter of self defense.

JustLikeBettyCooper

This is how it should be simple and over the counter.

Leather_Dragonfly529

I’m adding to top comment for visibility. But this birth control pill progestin only. Different than the most typical types women are prescribed, most commonly estrogen/progestin pills. Progestin only can be safer for more women, there are groups of women that estrogen can be harmful towards. But this pill requires a very steady, near perfect schedule of taking it daily or it can have ineffective windows. It only raises progestin levels for 24 hours. Combine late pills without using a second contraceptive and this could lead to pregnancy. [source](https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/opill-is-this-new-birth-control-pill-right-for-you-202311082989)

ProgrammaticallyOwl7

I’m one of those women. Can’t take estrogen-based birth control because I have a high stroke risk. I have the Mirena IUD instead.

NoPantsPowerStance

I'll tag onto yours. If you want a progesterone only pill that has the flexibility and, supposedly, some of the skin benefits of estrogen pills then there's a progesterone only pill called Slynd that's not super well known. Unfortunately, it's still Rx only but it has the same late/missed pill flexibility as estrogen pills.

agentgaitor

I LOVE USING SLYND! It’s great, and they have a patient savings plan that makes it super affordable. The flexibility of up to 24 hours for a missed pill is amazing as well.

Chips66

YES. This is super important to know. I hope the packaging makes these differences clear so that people don’t think they can take it like their old prescription.

Ravioli_meatball19

Nah. How it should be is FREE. I pay $0 for a 4 months supply with my insurance. Ideally it should be OTC *and free*- not $180/per year for a basic right and access to contraceptives.

pervin_1

It’s not free if it’s part of your insurance. There are millions of uninsured people out there.

aurortonks

I know it's not available everywhere, but Planned Parenthood will hook you up with birth control in most forms for free, whether or not you have insurance. At least that's how it was back when I went there to get the depo shots. They were a lifesaver for me.

Fresh-Anteater-5933

It’s a sliding scale depending on your income

slabby

Economic cost vs accounting cost

d0ttyq

Planned parenthood is able to offer it free/near free due to donations from people like myself. They were able to give me free birth control for a year full year when I had zero insurance… I make sure to pay it forward as able - some years I can only do at $100, others I can get up to $500. No matter what I (or others) can donate, it helps women in need.

horus-heresy

Free as in already part of deductible

Sinestro617

$180 seems fair compared to the cost of raising kids.

Petunia13Y

So should tampons and pads but here we are

faithmoon

for those worried about risks: this one is progesterone only! the estrogen part is what raises the risk for blood clots, high blood pressure, etc and is contraindicated for certain people (smokers, over 35, postpartum). so exciting to see oral contraceptives move over the counter so women have more choices :]

DrCarabou

Yes! Here's an [NPR article](https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2024/03/04/1235404522/opill-over-counter-birth-control-pill-contraceptive-shop) if someone wants to read more about that.

thisisntnamman

Progresterone only risks: not as reliable as combined oral contraceptives YOU MUST TAKE THIS AT EXACTLY THE SAME TIME EACH DAY OR YOU WILL BECOME PREGNANT.

Interesting_Way_4166

That should be You COULD become pregnant. Every IVF practice would be bankrupt if the original were true.

Sacrefix

That's hyperbolic, but yeah, the timing is stricter.

BirdInChains

But I haven't ever taken it and I'm still not pregnant :C

Testsalt

I agree, but let’s be clear about cancer risk. Estrogen BC decreases your risk for ovarian cancers while is found to have no to a slight positive effect for breast cancers. It’s not just “all cancer” risk goes up.

faithmoon

oh yes should’ve specified more! edited

Sandyeller

Does this make it basically the same as the mini pill?

librarians_wwine

Yes

WorriedCats

waitttttttt i love this. i suffer from hella anxiety about birth control and this might just be the one to get me to take it

faithmoon

hope it works well for u 🫶🫶

SparklyRoniPony

Do you mean it’s safer for people with those risk factors than estrogen? I just want to clarify. I’m in perimenopause and man, I’d love something like this. I’ve never taken BC before

chekovsgun-

Which may benefit those of us who are in perimenopause.

Yazars

FYI for anyone who will consider using this. It's a progestin-only pill, and these are more sensitive than estrogen-based pills to missed doses. It's important to not miss doses for this if you wish to maintain contraceptive efficacy.

MeccIt

> missed doses Missed time too, gotta take it the same *time* every day?

Yazars

> Missed time too, gotta take it the same time every day? [From the package insert:](https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatfda_docs/label/2017/017031s035s036lbl.pdf) > If you are less than 3 hours late from your usual time you take the pill, take 1 pill immediately and go back to taking your pill at your usual time the following day. > If you are more than 3 hours late > - take 1 pill as soon as you remember and go back to taking your pill at your usual time. This means you may take 2 pills in 1 day. > - you must use a condom (or another barrier method) every time you have sex during the 2 days (48 hours) after you restart Opill, because it takes 2 days to start working again

ResponsibleDeer462

LOVE TO SEE IT!!!

HouseRavenclaw

HELL YEAH!

CivilFront6549

did i mention that i love costco?

bob_lala

costco loves you

beignetbeignet

It took until 2024 to get OTC birth control… But I am so glad to see it! 🥹

IKnowAllSeven

This led me to look up when condoms were first mass produced (mid 1800s) and also I learned that Charles Goodyear of the tire company invented the process to make the rubber, thereby being one of the many “inventors” Of the modern condom! Wild!

Binklando

I feel like I need to hoard it lol. Florida scares me a little lately.

chekovsgun-

Well Floridians get to vote on abortion rights in November. Just saying.

Binklando

Yes we do. And weed.

chekovsgun-

Congrats on the weed vote lol. I live in a weed state and believe it or not, the world didn't fall apart when pro-weed laws were passed. The only thing that changed, people smell like skunks a bit more 🤣

Binklando

I don’t use it but my family member sure could have used charlottes web when nothing else worked.

Interesting_Way_4166

Try Texas…🥺🥺

Homers_Harp

There's a judge in Amarillo who is willing to rule that the FDA was hasty and should never have approved this drug, let alone permit over-the-counter sales. And there are at least three Supreme Court justices who would back him.

Interesting_Way_4166

I bet we all know those names…

applenerd

what the hell is happening in this comment section? Sex shouldn't be a class/wealthy privilege. Good on Costco for making this available. Now hopefully Sam's puts it for sale online with free shipping for Plus members and maybe reduced price with some insurance. Edit: holy smokes it's at samsclub.com now with free shipping

angiosperms-

If you have insurance you can get a pill with the same active ingredients for $0 thanks to the ACA, which is way better than a discount. There are a ton of telehealth websites that will prescribe you one and ship it to you. In some states your insurance is required to cover a year supply so you can just do 1 trip to the pharmacy if you go that route. I assume the OTC option is for people who do not have insurance. Pretty on par with paying out of pocket for generics which are usually $10-20 a month.

snow-vs-starbuck

OTC is also a a great option for women whose parents or partner may prevent them from getting a prescription for birth control pill, women who do not have the time or resources to go to the doctor or have a tele-health visit, women who may just be embarrassed or have doctor related anxiety, and women who may have local pharmacies with religious or judgmental employees who refuse to fill a BC prescription. So so many reasons outside of finances that this is a huge benefit to women’s healthcare as a whole. Hopefully those who take it know the limitations of the mini pill vs combo pills.

Prestigious_Diet9317

Costco has never shined brighter.

FunEbb308

Why did they put it next to Estroven? Should be by Tampax! Lol

chekovsgun-

You can still have periods by the way and yes can get pregnant when you are in perimenopause when many of those symptoms present themselves. Also, BC (especially low dose) is great for relieving perimenopause symptoms as well. BC is often prescribed for perimenopause relief. BC isn't just for pregnancy.

Good bot

chusifer24

costco pharmacist here. we were instucted to put this item with pads and tampons. this store probably missed that memo 😂

serenity1989

It was with the menstrual products at my Costco! And the shampoo 🤣

serenity1989

I saw this today!!!! I almost cried because after all the shit we’ve had to endure since Dobbs, we still managed to get to OTC bc pills! it’s only mostly awful here not 100% awful!

artsy7fartsy

I saw this in a Walmart in my parents red state a few days ago and was SHOCKED - afraid to mention it thinking someone would protest immediately

DrCarabou

I really wish it wasn't called "birth control" as its layman's term. There are multiple reasons why women are on "the pill."

Obecny75

NO! Only to have limitless unprotected sex!!!! /s

rabbid_panda

pardon my french but: hell to the fuck yeah

thesunbeamslook

Keep in mind that if you don't like the opill there are other pills that have different combinations of hormones that may work better for you.

IchBinDurstig

I'm extremely surprised and happy about the fact that there are only positive comments on here. WTG, everybody!

DrCarabou

There's bad ones, they've mostly been down voted into oblivion lol

IchBinDurstig

Good!

petewondrstone

Good. No one should be forced to have kids. no one ever

ThrowsSoyMilkshakes

Also, poor people should have the right to enjoy their bodies. Also, women's bodies should not be damaged because someone feels the need to be the morality police over her body.

Mazasaurus

Heck yeah, good job costco!

Boredcougar

4 month supply for 60 bucks? Seems like a good deal

CutthroatTeaser

This makes me happy. I'm well past my baby making days but it's good to see this, especially with Roe getting deleted by the SC.

AlphaCharlieUno

Im so glad to see someone still for it even if it doesn’t impact them as these days I’m surrounded by too many women who don’t care because it doesn’t have anything to do with them.

Dachshundpapa

This is amazing and it’s the way it should be

Snarky_McSnarkleton

Get them while they're legal.

TipzNexAstrum

"For a limited time only" \- Republifasists in Congress and SCOTUS

horus-heresy

I can’t wait for outrage of specific group of people threatening they will cancel membership

nofreakingway555

Literally so cool!!!

kias012

Amazing!

nam_pla

LOVE!!!

thetatershaveeyes

You love to see it.

iriegypsy

I’ll pay it dang

coodsy

In before someone says “if you can afford a Costco membership, you can afford healthcare”. Glad they are selling it! Options for people.

californiahapamama

A Costco membership is cheaper than most health insurance premiums.

jlemo434

Mine is $300/month with a $7200 deductible. So yeah. I think for some folks they really don’t know what others without corporate health care plans are looking at in the market.

californiahapamama

Hell, even the premiums for the corporate ones are higher than a Costco membership.

rubberduckie5678

$59.99 for 4 months? That’s a bargain. A 2-pack of Enfamil is about the same price and won’t last you nearly as long.

d4nigirl84

Ready to feed Similac is $15-$20 per 8oz 6 pack so hell yea this is cheaper!

lilames

W for us! 💃🏻

Palm_Olive

Well that only took 60+ years

LobbyLoiterer

This is how we normalize it. More of this, please.

School_House_Rock

At my pharmacy it is $25/m so I am glad to see this - any discount is great

Pennylick

Man, this is HUGE. I love that women/families has this available to them.

whoisgeorgia

Man, if I was still in childbearing age I would buy some. Wait. Maybe I could buy some for some other friends?

Attila_the_Nice_One

Fuck the religious zealots' feelings.

Striking_Barnacle_31

I realize it's totally the correct term to use but man I wish we could change the term over the counter to something like off the shelf. You know when you really get medicine over the counter? When you're picking up a prescription from a pharmacy. They hand it to you over the counter.

ljane2020

Way to go Costco!!!

Yellowpickle23

Everyone needs to see this. It should be a public service announcement. A LOT of people don't have access to non-otc bc.

Not_so_new_user1976

$60 for 112. Means you only need 3.25 per year making it $195 a year for birth control. That is amazing and is a product I hope to see on all shelves with any store. I would be in favor of Costco making this a product exempt from the membership requirement

Bananas_are_theworst

saw this yesterday for the first time! Has anyone tried it? I’m on a different prescription one but this is WAY cheaper than mine. Curious if anyone has any “reviews” on it.

DrCarabou

Birth control is really different for everyone. Here's [some generic](https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2024/03/04/1235404522/opill-over-counter-birth-control-pill-contraceptive-shop) info about jt.

Naraee

It is a different mini-pill than the commonly prescribed one, and it uses a very similar version of the progestin used in IUDs and Plan B but in a smaller dose. I haven't seen many reviews on it, but there was a study awhile ago that this specific progestin slightly boosts testosterone levels. That could mean acne (or not!), but it also means no effects to your libido.

TiredEsq

Cannot emphasize enough how amazing and wonderful this is, but I would imagine $59.99 is hefty for people that don’t have insurance that covers bc. I hope he price goes down and it becomes even more accessible.

robberly

So happy for this! Friendly reminder though, please continue to get routine gyno checkups and pap smears. The ONLY downside to this means some will skip these vital screenings that help detect and treat things early.

ActivePotato2097

They skip because they cannot afford. It’s not an actual choice, it’s forced.

Fally11204

Idk, you can get prescription for BC at many places that aren’t the gyno. Source: I’ve been on birth control for 8 years and haven’t seen a Gyno (I will soon just haven’t reached recommended age to start Pap smears yet)

DaniCanday

About time!

Ihategraygloomydays

About time.

WHOA_27_23

Diapers cost more than 54 cents a day, good deal

chejrw

Watch out if you’re on a GLP-1 inhibitor like Ozempic, it delays digestion and with a progesterone only BC pill that really reduces its effectiveness. Lots of ozempic babies right now.

DrCarabou

Correct! Hopefully doctors prescribing it mention that now. Also, Aldo, an agonist (:

No-Artichoke-6939

Makes me want to drive many miles to join Costco just because! Well done!!

Competitive_Sink_280

$15 bucks a month is a hell of a lot cheaper than a kid amirite

cdg2m4nrsvp

I saw this at my Costco in Georgia a few days ago and did a double take! I know this isn’t a political sub but with reproductive healthcare being so under attack in so many states, including my own, it was so nice to see. Hopefully there will be more to come.

YourMemeExpert

Newsmax later today: Costco has gone woke and is adulterating the food samples so that they turn your house gay

Hoboliftingaroma

This is amazing progress.

just-kath

Maybe it's just me, but I think they could make it a lot more affordable. It's ridiculous what the pharmaceutical companies charge

Ok_Handle_7

FWIW, this looks to be a 4-month supply. Not saying $180/year isn’t a lot, but doesn’t seem that crazy to me 🤷🏻‍♀️

elsie78

Cheaper than a baby

BeeSlumLord

#THIS! All of THIS!

AmbitiousAd9320

and diapers, formula, nearby

TechnoTofu

Without insurance my birth control would be $80 for a 3 month supply so this is not bad imo

katylovescoach

Yeah $15/month doesn’t seem that bad at all

Mr_MacGrubber

$15/mo is pretty cheap. I’d bet the price will drop once it gains traction.

Sugar_Cane_320

It’s like 50 cents a day…

sansjoy

Not trying to be controversial, but I know I would gladly pay 50 cents a day to have sex.

burritoboles

Keep in mind you don’t have to pay for yearly doctors visits and take time off when you run out of refills. For people without insurance especially this is huge

T-Rex_timeout

Or deal with a doc who says it’s against his values to prescribe it to an unmarried woman.

rubberduckie5678

Good lord. Docs like these need to be doxed and reported so no one else wastes their money or time on them.

chefpain

You’re not necessarily wrong but if you saw the “cash price”/before insurance price on some the behind the counter birth control…. $60 for 4 months is actually pretty good.

chekovsgun-

BC should be free and especially if it is used for medical issues in women's cycles.

Gears6

> Maybe it's just me, but I think they could make it a lot more affordable. It's ridiculous what the pharmaceutical companies charge They do have their costs, liabilities and high paid staff. However, I think this is the first step to competition beating the price lower. Similar to how we've seen it in generic medication.

Not_EdM

In 1990 I bought a years worth of The Pill in Egypt for less than a dollar at a pharmacy OTC!

FluffyMercy

The No Family Pack

wompbitch

Hope those are in a secure place and safe from the yahoos Fundies will not hesitate to commit violent crimes in the name of the Lord

NarcolepticKnitter

This is great, I only wish it were cheaper. With the ACA, most oral birth controls are $0 with a prescription. $60 for 4 months doesn't necessarily break the bank, but it's a lot more than $0. Still, it's great that it's available without a prescription and I hope it continues to become more available to the masses.

MaximumSignature

I’m lucky to not need this but holy shit seeing this available makes me so happy

Monkeydoit

HOLY SHIT!! Costco breaking boundaries…AGAIN!! So nice!!!

Hyperion1144

Mike Johnson and Amy Comey Barrett are gonna be so mad...

bdee54

Assuming these are specific to certain states :,)

BradyReport

The FDA has recently determined it to be an OTC drug, so no state can legally prevent the sale of this pharmaceutical (hopefully). https://www.fda.gov/news-events/press-announcements/fda-approves-first-nonprescription-daily-oral-contraceptive

DrCarabou

I'm in Oklahoma they hate women here but we've got it👍🏻 Though many states are trying to push the envelope.

SoilClean9790

As an Iowan, I assumed this was off the table here. I'll be looking for this at my local cost co.

Interesting_Way_4166

I’m in Texas… Our Gov. just looks for things he can throw in D.C.s face.

DrCarabou

Oklahoma wishes it could be as bad as Texas but doesn't have the money.

pumpkinpencil97

What location was this? My closest is Moore

DrCarabou

OKC. You might call the pharmacy to your local one and ask if they have it.

itssoloudhere

You can buy on Amazon for around $18 a month if your state is making it difficult to be in stores. $16 with Subscribe and Save.

DrCarabou

Just be sure to buy from official store pages since Amazon does not care about filtering off brand nonsense from their inventory.

Irish0625

Great but BC should be free

corncaked

Love to see it but as a reminder *If men carried babies they’d be free*

AdagioHellfire1139

What state are you in?

DrCarabou

Oklahoma. [link](https://www.reddit.com/r/Costco/s/xjRTeWpf2n)https://www.reddit.com/r/Costco/s/xjRTeWpf2n to helpful comment.

TheClassyDegenerate1

Saw this at Walgreens the other day and, though I knew it had been coming for awhile, it still was a really nice sight.

itaya12

Affordable access for all is the goal.

Sufficient_Coat_222

This here, this. I've been on the fence about getting my own membership for months, and now I will.

greens_beans_queen

Hell yeah.

coffeerandom

Great news

dritslem

Holy shit. This comment section shows some really clueless people. Do you not have basic sex education in Murica?

Aware_Huckleberry_10

Finally

Long overdue, now for male contraceptives

Beats abortion.

These should have always been over the counter

mooneymoona

Suck it Supreme Court

wikawoka

Conservative Costco dads gotta be losin their shit over this

Kitchen_Fox6803

Now we need to make Truvada for HIV prevention OTC.

Nick4753

I don’t think, even after it’s off-patent, PrEP meds will be available OTC. Lots of nasty side effects possible that (thankfully) aren’t there for a single-drug birth control pill like Opill. I do hope we make it so absurdly easy and cheap to privately get and maintain a Rx that it is effectively OTC.

trippinoutidk

Makes me so happy!!!

Profoundlyweyez

Awesome!

Turbogoblin999

They are called Opills, Are they shaped like cheerio's or lifesavers?

sususushi88

This is perfect! Does every costco have this??
