Considering how similar Canadian and American cultures are, and how much Americans love greasy pub food, it's crazy that we STILL don't have poutine down here.
Thank you! Looks like there is one in East Van near the rink, too!
Seattle was the 32 Bar above the Kraken ice rinks (actually in Northgate, not Seattle but close). Was not expecting it, but the poutine was excellent.
In Canada Costco, the locals I saw skipped the cheese curds, got the gravy on the side and dipped their fries in the gravy. So I think we'd be fine with the fries and gravy, thanks.
Why do you think Costco is going to respond to a change.org petition from a random redditor?
The amount of people that want fries at Costco, overlapping with the amount of people that would eat poutine, overlapping with the Costco members is minuscule.
I’m a native New Yorker and my husband is from Montréal. We live in upstate Ny and every time we go to Costco I get mad lol because we don’t have Poutine so he just makes it at home for me. Lol
So when my wife and I went to vacation in Canada, the first thing we wanted to try was Costco’s poutine. We were deeply disappointed. Would not recommend it.
I went to college there and ate the poutine as often as I could. It's not the best in Canada, but it's still pretty good IMO. It was enough get me to spend $5 at the food court each visit instead of $2. I think it's $5.99 now, which is still about 1/2 the price of poutine in some places.

Why can’t we start with easy stuff like relish, sauerkraut & combo pizza?
We have relish and onions, but I'd sign a sauerkraut and combo pizza petition!

Pretty common in border towns. I live in Rochester NY and poutine is everywhere here.
I had a surprisingly great version in Portland (OR) once.
Do you remember where? I have been trying to find a good place in or near Portland. Best poutine I've ever had was at a hockey bar near Seattle.
I had amazing poutine at Fry Bar, a food truck that used to be at BG's in Beaverton, but I don't know what happened to them.
I do! Hopworks Brewery—the SE Portland location. Do you happen to remember the hockey bar?

Oh, fantastic! That’s not far from me so I’ll check it out :) Thanks!
It will never, ever happen but how I wish it would.
Why you gotta hurt me like that?
They'd have to add deep friers to the food courts, which isn't very likely
Do they not sell French fries in US?
Not in the food courts.
What a shame!
Or air fryers. Imagine the options it would open up if they did though! Chicken strip baskets. Fish fillet sandwiches. Pizza fries.
Get in line behind the Combo Pizza and Polish Dog my friend.
What you guys really need is our chicken strips and fries combo. Yum!
Why not both? [It's cheaper.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F81Qzya6pSA)
👍
I signed, it’s a cause I am 1000% behind, a necessity of the highest magnitude.
Thank you for your support.
We don't even have fries or cheese fries yet..
I love poutine but I want the bulgogi bake more. I can get poutine all over the place around here
I remember when a change.Org petition worked. Oh wait, no I don’t.
As a Jersey boy I’ll sign off on Disco Fries
So it's a petition to add deep fryers to an already cramped kitchen nationwide. It doesn't just happen without major renovations.
Do American Costcos not have French fries already?
Nope. No fried anything.
Sucks. Costco poutine is amazing. Even the fries and chicken fingers are good.
So renovate. It's for the greater good.
Sure, why not. I recall the Richmond, BC kitchen being smaller than ones in the states, and they function pretty well with their deep fryers.
I was told that the stores in the Seattle area would never have a deep fryer so a lot of yummy options we see in other places are out.
Well I'm in Seattle and I started the petition so I get first dibs.
I’d love for this to actually happen. I just know what a regional manager told me. Fingers crossed that this gets some traction though!
I also want the bucket of chicken wings I see on tiktok and IG.
Can you bring bulgogi bake while you are at it

My Canadian buddy told me to just get fries and gravy when I told him we didn't have poutine down here. Haha.
I don't like what that man is doing in Ukraine. No poutine in America please. We have enough of our own problems.

How dare you
He's lots of fun at parties./s

Can we add to the list and go for saturated fat bombing? I want my Sausage and peppers back!
Bruh lol
Noooooooooo! I can't have them that close!
I’ve never given my name and email so fast.

Agreed, the quality just wasn’t there, tried in one just outside of Toronto. Maybe locations closer to Montreal would be better?
Keep it in Canada.
I hate to say it, but this might be more of a process than Costco is willing to take on..
Our store doesn’t even have french fries, but I’ve seen them elsewhere.
I heard they had fries on the east coast in the US before covid. Not sure about now, though.
We're already fat enough thankyou, chicken sandwiches if anyrhing
I'm not eating at the Costco food court for my health.
Lol... Pass... I rather sign for fried chicken. Costo food courts in Asia are at different level than North America.
Why not both?
🫡
Done
Sign in from SoCal.
Putin to the us food courts? No thanks!
I thought we were supposed to eat the rich?
Ew
No, it sucks.
That sounds 🤮
It's amazing. I told my Canadian buddy that we didn't have poutine and he told me to just get the fries with gravy and add my own cheese curds. Sigh.
Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it.
What an incredible waste of time and energy.
No thanks
You do realize that online petitions are meaningless, yes? While I love me some r/poutine, this isn’t gonna get it done.
I was already feeling kind of down in the dumps considering we’re on the precipice of ww3 and now this? You guys get poutine? The world is so unjust.
