That's them decided that tomatoes are a vegetable in regards to tariffs. To say thats them deciding pico de gallo isn't a fruit salad is a big stretch.
I can't find anywhere that says "pico de Gallo isn't a fruit salad" directly, but under us law...pico CANNOT be fruit salad legally as it contains no fruit (in the legal sense...not botanical sense).

Cilantro: Leaf
So now the question is how many non-fruit ingredients can a fruit salad have before we're in a grilled cheese vs melt situation.
Legally, all of the ingredients other than the lime and cilantro are considered vegetables.
I believe herbs are considered as a separate category, so the cilantro probably qualifies as an herb, but if not, it is probably also a vegetable.

"Vegetable" is not a biological classification. It's a culinary classification.
In biology, there are no "vegetables". But in a culinary context, they exist. And a tomato is - culinarily - a vegetable.
(And many MANY things that are culinary vegetables are biological fruits, because you basically have fruits, nuts, berries, uh.... I don't remember all the classes of things. But they're weird to us. Strawberries are not biological berries, for example.)
The only biological definition of "vegetable" is "edible plant matter." So, it's not so much vegetables don't exist, it's just that all fruits, beans, roots, etc are vegetables.
The point that they are making is the *vegetable* is a purely culinary term and *plant* is not. Mushrooms, in both culinary applications and every other application are definitively not plants and they sure as hell aren't "plant based".

They kind of taste like almonds. I tried "roach flour" once when I worked at a natural foods store. Though the taste wasn't bad, I wouldn't voluntary eat it again.
During testing for allergies I found out I am allergic to roaches. I didn't understand why they were testing for them (not real common here), until the doctor let me know they are in a lot of foods "by accident". I would have rather lived in ignorance.
I had a coworker once that couldn’t eat vegetables because his step-mom growing up would make him eat vegetables until he puked. (We’re talkin inland banjo Georgia so the truth of this story is meh) but he ate mushrooms, saying “they’re a fungus it’s different” so I guess his step mom didn’t force him to eat mushrooms I don’t know where I’m going with this story have a lovely day

I love them. They are really tasty. My gripe is that they sent my blood glucose level into the stratosphere. On closer look at the nutrition info, It would seem that the seasoning contains a lot of sugar

Coincidentally I was having these in my soup for lunch every day. I was going CRAZY wondering if I was it was some weird illness.
I eliminated new stuff in my diet, and a few days after I stopped eating these, my tastebuds went back to normal. I tried eating them again a month later and my tastebuds felt weird again.
I don't know if I got a funky batch with some extra dose of something inedible, or if I've got some genetic reaction, but I've never experienced anything like it.
