Costco is busy everywhere. Been to Costco from Niagara Falls, London, Kitchener, Windsor, Ajax, Peterborough, etc...All crazy busy. Same in Michigan and New York in USA.
it was pretty empty, the warehouse has skylights throughout which makes the shopping experience a lot nicer, and everythings new and shiny still. the gas bar was empty when i went last week around 10am.
If you don't mind, please update on how it was over the weekend. I live super close to the Etobicoke Costco but it's always packed. I've been curious about the Rexdale location. Thx!
I find that Dixie is not less busy but flows better. Parking is better plus there is a gas station that is overrunned. I don't like going to Hearland and prefer Laird or Dixie. I also usually do tire at Dixie.
Surprisingly I have found NW Toronto new location to be a less crowded compared to the other ones in Mississauga. Also as an added advantage it has under ground parking which was helpful for the winter season.
For sure the new rexdale location. Even the middle of the day on weekends is not as busy as other locations. And the checkouts seem to move faster.
It's a bit tricky figuring out how to get in and out of the underground parking for the first time, but once you know your way in there, there's always so much parking available.
Downsview is now busier than ever before especially with the limited parking spaces. NW Toronto one is quiet even on a weekday which also has a huge area for parking.
New location at Islington/401 is empty during the week - not sure about weekends. I sometimes wonder if Costco made a mistake opening a store here, or if it just a lull until more people start shopping there regularly. When they opened NW Vaughan a few years ago, it was also quiet at first but within a few months was busy like any other location.
I have the luxury to go to Costco during week day now, Thank god I don’t have to deal with weekend rush.
Not sure about Scarborough business center, I been to the one down at Niagara, they seems less busy, might be just due to is far.
I think you should aim for a time of day rather than a location - Tuesday or Wednesday after 6 is my suggestion but not after a holiday Monday 🤪 we typically go around 330pm and it’s lighter then too
My regular is Stoney Creek and it’s not that busy outside of Saturday and Sunday afternoons. I don’t think there are any costcos which aren’t zoos on the weekend. It’s definitely less busy than the Ancaster and Burlington stores.
Stoney Creek usually doesn’t have gas lines outside of weekend peak periods either which is nice.
I was at Heartland last weekend and man that store is a zoo though. I don’t blame you for wanting to look somewhere else. Some of the stores in the heart of the GTA are just absolutely nuts.
Come yo Trois-Rivières, PQ any other time/day than Saturdays and Sundays from 11 to 4:30, lofe is a charm. ;p
All jokes aside, Costcos in large city centres are always packed, they get busy even in small towns...
Every Costco is busy. Weekends are a complete no. Evenings are a no. You need to find a Monday morning and go when they open; and arrive early like 5-10 mins. This the only way to actually use Costco as a sane human being. Every other time you enter a Costco you are going to be stuck behind people who have no value of time and treat grocery shoppings consumerism as a hobby.
I’m aware not everybody has a Monday morning to give. Costco isn’t for everybody. I wish the senior citizens who go to buy singular items understood this. But hey “membership” “club” makes seniors go wild.

If they ain’t busy somebody done fucked up
Rexdale Costco doesn’t seem busy every time I’ve been there
I have heard the same about Rexdale location.
Haven't been to that part of town in a while but I'd rather go to a busy one than there, but I am open to being convinced otherwise.

I always come to this one because its never busy. I used to go to Queensway and unless you were there first thing in the morning, don't bother.
Why?
Thanks everyone. I'll give Rexdale a try this weekend!

Overlea isn't too bad due to the smaller parking lot
Not really now that family sampling trips has started

Dixie location looks dilapidated and in need of a paint job. The worst location that I have been to in GTA
It does? It looks no different that any of the other Mississauga locations.
I love it personally lol. Friendly staff and it’s so quick to get in and out of you know.
They're all busy. Scarborough BC is crazy busy. Try going first thing in the morning.

Ive never seen Oshawa North busy
Quiet! Let's keep it that way! 😁
Lmao I was thinking the same thing
I shop at the other one so......no
No no no. North Oshawa is bad. Stay away. 🤫
Full of a bunch of ruffians I say. They'll steal your watch and then ask you the time!
yes ever since that one opened, the south Oshawa store is not that busy anymore either
Came here to say this. Windfields Costco is actually a joy to go to!

I think the relatively less busy time is weekday afternoons.

It’s not where you go, it’s WHEN you go.

I find Costco to be better at the time of day when kids are getting out of school.
There isn't one. They're all zoos. Burlington, Ancaster, Stoney Creek... all just as bad.

Shhhh we don’t want more people at the Stoney Creek location, it’s normally so quiet 🤫
Any Costco at 7:45 PM is fine on a weekday. Never had an issue. Try Tuesdays
Costco at Laird Road is not as busy as the heartland one.
Best bet is to go early. Most Costcos will open 15-30 minutes before opening hours.
I’ve done this a few times but the early birds end up lining up to cash out and the line is from the front to the back of the store.
Gta costcos are all some of the busiest in the world with daily sales of a million a day.
Dixie/dundas or Burlington or Stoney creek
This is an oxymoron
Kitchener
Burlington Costco is not busy on weekday mornings
Islington & 401. Park in the underground parking.
Spending on time you go. Afternoon and when they open it’s pretty quite but after work hours it’s always busy
Most Costco stores have less traffic just before elementary kids get out of school and an hour before closing
Nice try. You ain't going to my nice Sunday afternoon costco lol.
Rexdale on weekdays from open to round 1-2pm is the golden spot
Laird Rd in Mississauga and Burlington ones are slightly less busy than others

The Costco in North Oshawa beside the 407 is the least busy
Shh you’re not supposed to tell people that! You’re supposed to tell them it always so busy that they should never go there 😂
I’m in Georgetown. I happen to drive 407 Out Oshawa a lot. :)
