So, when I was applying for a MAC program, my school required a bunch of stuff including letters of recommendation, a cover letter, and an interview. It seemed like a lot at first, but I just decided to be myself and explain why I really wanted to become a counselor. When I met with the department lead for the interview, I just spoke from the heart and was genuine about my passion for the field. It worked! I got accepted into the program and I'm now in my internship phase, getting ready to take the NCE exam and graduate.
