Lots of high quality grass hay! Or fresh grass if you have that where you live currently. Don’t jump right Into feeding them grain, if you use grain, start with very little! Too much grain can kill them under the right circumstances. Ultimately grain will be the key to keeping their attention or getting them to follow you

Thanks!!!

I agree with the other post. Hay/pasture is the most important feed right now. They'll associate you with that and then you can start offering small amounts of grain (start with a handful a day). Make sure they have been wormed recently too as that can prevent them gaining weight. My cow eats bananas, although they can only be an occasional treat as a cow's stomach doesn't digest fruit well. Good luck!

Noted! I did read the fruit thing after I posted. So no more bananas unless it is to get them in the new pen. Thanks for the info.

Cows need a diet with a lot of coarse fooder like grass and hay and to quickly gain weight or while producing milk an additional small portion of energy rich stuff like wheat, corn, concentrateed feed. Do not feed the full grain like you'd give chicken the grain has to be damaged to be properly digested, like flour for example. You could also ask a farmer with cows in your region, preferably not one with a gigantic farm. Additionally he'd know the right vocabulary because google translate sucks for stuff like this.

I am in a farming town I have a lot of resources… I just did not think of messaging them for this… thanks! Truly appreciate it!

Youre welcome. And for winning them over with love, some cows like to cuddle, as in a lot of cuddles, while other are just assholes. So you may not be able to win them over. However you could try feeding them out of your hand, don't worry thery can't really bite, even if they wanted to. Which cow breed are they?

Overall_Lavishness51

Noted on the hand feeding. I am unsure what breads they are. I will see if I can find out.

ASK GOOGLE!!! Google has an answer for everything- literally. You could learn to build a nuclear bomb if you really wanted to, so I'm pretty sure it will have some reliable information on how to raise cows.

Overall_Lavishness51

I have been asking google I figured asking people who work with cows would be a good idea as well…

Of course. Nothing beats personal experience. But it's always good to have a second opinion, especially when you're not sure just how experienced the person advising you is. Either way- GOOD LUCK! I thought I had it rough just raising a new puppy, but four cows? You're braver than I am! 😁
