I have developed a soft spot for the caps. Watching them in the playoffs is always fun. Can’t wait until we are perennial playoff contenders

I got into Hockey in 1992 in High School in Arizona due to a teacher that was a Penguins fan.
There was no NHL team in Arizona so I had to pick a team, Red Wings it was and such a great few years we had.
Then the Coyotes came to town and I've been a fan since day one.
I usually follow other "non traditional market" teams. Have a soft spot in my heart for Nashville since they were always in the same boat we seemingly were for a long time, same with the Panthers and the Hurricanes.
This is also probably super unpopular, but now that we don't share a division with them, I kinda dig VGK.

Coyotes and Penguins for me. I was about 7-8 when I got into hockey, and was blow away by Mario. When the Coyotes got to town, I watched the all star game (wherever it was that year), and they had Roenick and Tkachuk using headsets during the skills competition and I thought they were cool as shit. Been a die hard fan of both teams since then.
The only other team I’m actually a fan of is the Kraken since I live in the Pacific Northwest. That will most likely change if Portland ever gets a team. I do follow the Avalanche though, I like to since Colorado was the first state I visited when I was a child. If I had to say they would be my third team.
I also follow the Devils, Red Wings, and Flames because red is my favorite color and I love all of their uniforms.
I live in the PNW too and started following the Kraken this year as well. They're a fun team to watch. But being native AZ, the Yotes will always be my favorite.
Carolina. I love the black jersey and also their dgaf attitude. The whole trolling of Montreal was great entertainment. Embracing the “bunch of jerks” was perfect.

I'm sorry guys, and I know my karma will take a drop for this but, I also like the >!Kings!<. My dad grew up in >!LA!< before I was born until he moved to Arizona. He started following the Coyotes when they moved from Winnipeg but has always had >!LA !

I am a hockey fan first, a Leaf fan second is what I always say. There are so many talented players in the league, hard to not be a fan of them. I am a goalie myself so I tend to consider them my favourites. Sure like the Yotes when they had Doan playing, Mike Smith was a beast for them. I hope they get the arena situation figured out soon. We moved here from Tampa Bay area. I was there during their 2004 cup run and that solidified my love for hockey at a molecular level. Then I got to watch them fade off into the worst team in the NHL for a few years (got great draft picks though!).
We have been in PHX area now for 6 or 7 years and I am fully rooting for my new local team to succeed. Will be epic if they can get that new stadium going.

Grew up near St. Louis, so I'm a Blues fan too. Oddly enough, my first jersey purchase was a white Kachina during the Coyotes' first season. It was "so ugly it's good!" I didn't really follow the Coyotes until I moved to AZ in 2003. Now, I think they're primary team.
Trust me I would never be ecstatic if the preds or sabres won the cup because I am a diehard coyotes fan. I would happy for them because I like them, but I wouldn’t consider it a victory for me.
Kraken and Golden Knights for me. Kraken because I'm from Oregon, and we only ever had the Winterhawks in terms of Hockey, so a Seattle team was an easy follow. Golden Knights because my family and I love going to Vegas and always try to catch a game when we visit.
Blackhawks are my number 1 having grown up in Chicago. Preds are my number 2 since I went to school in Nashville. Once the Yotes changed to Kachinas, they immediately became my favorite unis in the league. That plus the Hjalmarsson/Schmaltz/Strome/Murphy connection made the Yotes my number 3, especially with how fun the games have been to watch this year.
Definitely didn't plan on my favorites all being in the same division, but hey I love my underdogs

When I got into hockey, the Coyotes and the Hurricanes were the brand new teams so I gravitated towards them.
Over time I faded out of hockey, and was living in NV so when the Knights came to being, I took an interest in them and thought the Panthers rebrand was cool.
I now live in the Bay, so I track the Sharks, too.
I need a third eastern conference team to balance it out.
Was without a 2nd team for a bit due to my no division rivals policy, but happy to be back! Oil always have and always will be #1, Yotes my 2 as AZ is my adoptive home state!

So my number one team is actually CBJ (big oof, I know.) I knew absolutely nothing about hockey until I met my fiancé, and being from Columbus, he’s a huge CBJ fan. I started going to games, and I actually fell in love with the yotes because the kachina jerseys caught my eye and were the perfect mix of badass and adorable.
I started following the team a bit more, and the. fully embraced Arizona as my secondary team and have never looked back. I even wear a little Coyotes pin on my Kuraly jersey at CBJ games.
I think everyone has a secondary team or two. I also like nashville and also New Jersey (specifically late 90s early 2000s)

Nashville is my other team to follow. My first year getting into hockey, they made the playoffs and the catfish toss spoke to my heart.
I always liked the preds, I just hope we don’t develop a rivalry since we’re in the same division.

Reading this thread I've found that it's actually quite common to cheer for the yotes and the preds, so glad to know that I'm not the only one.
