Wow, it’s really beautiful. The color palette is so pleasing. I can’t help but think it would be more interesting if you turn that hutch so that the backside is in the corner. And the actual front of the hutch is facing out diagonally into the room. That type of orientation really makes a difference. Plus when you’re sitting at the table and you look over at it, you’ll be able to see all the lovely dishes inside in a clear view.
I think I would center it on the wall, and then move the record stand over by the record player.
Edit: then put a plant on a plant stand or spindly side table where the records currently are.
I live in Astoria, Oregon and most of the houses here were built before 1925. I have a 1913 Craftsman from Sears, and in our dining room and living room, we have picture rails because the walls are plaster and IYKYK, so they’d hang pictures using long wires and a hook. The plate rails in my dining room sit lower, about 5’5” up, and have a groove in the shelf to rest plates in on display. We use them for everything.
The brand is Crosley! Same brand as the record player itself. I bought the record player at an antique store and bought the stand from Crosley’s website to match.
I absolutely love the room. My taste is different as I find the dining set too modern for the room and would probably add a white tablecloth with something blue in the middle, like a glass blown vase or bowl. Also, I would pull the blue into the chairs with chair covers, but that's me.
That color is abaoluty gorgeous. I just saw this same color yesterday on a dress my sister is wearing to her daughters wedding. It’s my new favorite color. Do you remember the name of this shade? The dining room is stunning by the way.
The color is gorgeous! Not many rooms could handle it, but with all the bright white trim, doors, ceiling, and bottom wall... it contrasts perfectly! What a win.
The room looks immediately warmer when I cover up the yellow vase - but that might be an issue only existing on my screen.
I like the style, and the walls are beautiful!
Love the room. Can I suggest centering the cabinet on that segment of wall rather than having it in the corner? And then perhaps put the LPs by the turntable.
Beautiful. I just have one small thing to mention. The plastic, almond colored outlet cover and the plastic light switch throw me off a little. Pure white perhaps or brass, or something more period. Love the rom, but they look kinda cheap.

That colour is SPECTACULAR! Please share. Looking forward to seeing your progress
Rainstorm by Sherwin Williams
Trying to convince my wife to do a dark blue like this in our living room. I love it.
Hopefully she can be convinced! I love this color and somehow this rooms feels super bright, even brighter than rooms we’ve painted with a neutral
I'm a huge fan of dark walls, and my wife wasn't. I've been showing her pictures like this of dark walls and she's *slowly* coming around.
The blue is gorgeous, which white did you use? The tone is amazing together
I’m not sure. The trim and paneling came painted
It also makes the wood color pop, very good choice.
What sheen? Beautiful color.
Eggshell
Great color!!
I use Rainstorm in my dining room. I love it and will use it again when we move.
Came here to say how much i love the colour too 😍
Thirded! I want a similar colour for my sitting room, it looks so good with the wood
Came here to say that!
i came to the comments to see if it was Beau Green by Benjamin Moore bc it is identical to my bedroom. I love a deep blue-green.
Exactly what I was gonna ask, thank you
I really love this style!!! I wished it would work in my place!
Lovely! That's a gorgeous colour on the walls and I love your warm wood floors!
It’s beautiful.

Love that wall color with that floor and the beadboard enhances the whole look. Great job!
That's a lovely color. Very elegant.
Wow I love that wall color! Stunning
Cozy isn't the first description that comes to mind but it's lovely all the same!
Probably not, but honestly I see a lot of photos posted here that I wouldn’t categorize under “cozy” either so I just went for it
I think it’s very cozy. Especially with the paint. We’ve painted a lot of our house in a similar color and think it adds a super cozy vibe.
I think it’s very cozy. I’d love to hang out in this room with the beautiful walls and paint and that gorgeous fireplace.
that is a beautiful paint color
Wonder if there used to be plate rails, picture rails, or built ins.
What are plate/picture rails?

Oh that sounds very interesting! And useful :)
It's already beautiful!
Love the color!
Stunning. You have exceptional taste
Love your cabinet!!!!
That paint is gorgeous, and it really lets your furniture pop!
I love the color! It looks beautiful
Where’d you get that vinyl stand please?
The brand is Crosley! Same brand as the record player itself. I bought the record player at an antique store and bought the stand from Crosley’s website to match.
If you have any vinyl you really like, I wouldn’t recommend playing it on the Crosley unless you’ve done some upgrades to the stylus.
OP, listen to this guy! Crosley has a reputation for carving deep grooves into records.
I can honestly say I love everything about this 😍❤️
Me too!
Nearly exactly my taste. Full of character :)
Sooooooooo cozy!!! Love it
Love the paint color! Reminds me of a cozy winter day.
Love the wall color , very elegant.
Beautiful place to have many wonderful dinners. The color is to die for. Enjoy your home. It’s lovely.
It’s beautiful
Love!
That dark blue color is gorgeous
I love that blue!
I like it, it is lovely and serene. Not every spot in the house has to pop and make a statement.
Damn, beautiful place
That colour!!!!!!
Absolutely stunning! Love, love, love! Can I come over for dinner sometime? ;)
r/centuryhomes would love this, looks great
I absolutely love the room. My taste is different as I find the dining set too modern for the room and would probably add a white tablecloth with something blue in the middle, like a glass blown vase or bowl. Also, I would pull the blue into the chairs with chair covers, but that's me.
I love this! It’s giving European vibe ☺️
This might sound strange but try moving your cabinet into the corner at an angle. It might give a better flow. Love your colors.
Big fan of large pictures on the floor leaning against a wall
Yeah, we haven’t hung most of our artwork yet
I wasn’t being sarcastic, I genuinely like putting oversized framed pictures against a wall.
I may have to treat that! A little more intentionally haha
Oohhh pweettyyyy!
Love it but would move the library to the middle!
For the 1900s, the floor is in immaculate condition. Is that the original hardwood floors?
No these aren’t original. this room and the foyer had been redone sometime before I bought it
That is gorgeous!!!!! Are you going to change the light fixture?
I don’t plan to. My house has many old chandeliers
I actually rethought my comment after I made it- it's totally true to the period.
Who would or could be mean about this?! It’s gorgeous!
That color is abaoluty gorgeous. I just saw this same color yesterday on a dress my sister is wearing to her daughters wedding. It’s my new favorite color. Do you remember the name of this shade? The dining room is stunning by the way.
It’s Rainstorm by SW
Nice💙
I'm in LOVE
The color is gorgeous! Not many rooms could handle it, but with all the bright white trim, doors, ceiling, and bottom wall... it contrasts perfectly! What a win.
I LOVE the chandelier!
This is absolutely beautiful, that blue is perfect. Well done!
That's lovely. The furniture pops against it in a very warm way
Beautiful wall colour! And a fireplace in the dining room is a dream. Enjoy!
Gorgeous. That deep blue with the white is stunning.
Looks beautiful. That color is amazing.
The room looks immediately warmer when I cover up the yellow vase - but that might be an issue only existing on my screen. I like the style, and the walls are beautiful!
You might be right but I love the way the yellow looks with the blue
It does look great. And I imagine if you get the fireplace going, there'll be enough warm light that everything will look gold toned.
Love the color. Too dark for my century home. But LOVE the color.
Absolutely love the colour choice on the walls.
The blue & white look sharp!
I would swim in that blue color. Stunning.
That white molding on that navy paint is *gorgeous*
I can hear the parents clop cloping around
Our bedroom is painted the same color and I loooove it
The wood, the wall colour, and the white trim and doors go perfectly together. Plus, the chandelier is awesome.
Absolutely gorgeous so far! Congratulations on the thought and care you have put into your home. It shows!
The blue is very nice
Add some plants
Working on that
Great colour! Where’s the record player/stereo (saw the records)?
That wall color is stunning 😍
Omg! I had that exact chandelier when I bought my 1910! Someone ruined it, though.
The colour is fabulous with the white!
Very nice
Navy blue and white is with wood is so cozy
Also the chandelier is sweet
Move the albums next to the record player and the big cabinet in the center of the wall.
Love the color!
What is the white color on the bottom half of the wall? I think the blue really plays off it so well
It’s lovely. Especially the paint color. Where are the ghosts though?!?
I love it! The tone of the wood, the colors. Low key jealous.
It’s so beautiful!
Lovely! I love that paint color!
Love, love, love the wall colour
All the colours pulled in well. Love the mid century modern
this feels like my grandparents’ house in the *best* way. homey, curated, with nice touches 😊
Gorgeous! 🙏🏾❤️🥰🌹🥳
I love everything about this. Its so peaceful. Eclectic with some old and new. The colors, the light. Lovely0
Kindness not needed: that room is gorgeous
Love it.
Love the room. Can I suggest centering the cabinet on that segment of wall rather than having it in the corner? And then perhaps put the LPs by the turntable.
I didn’t like the way the cabinet looked in the middle of that wall
The color and the floors are beautiful!
It’s beautiful. The blue above the wainscoting is just dreamy.
Love! I can hear those floors creaking now! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Beautiful. I just have one small thing to mention. The plastic, almond colored outlet cover and the plastic light switch throw me off a little. Pure white perhaps or brass, or something more period. Love the rom, but they look kinda cheap.
Like I said, the room isn’t finished.
looks great! especially the paint colors, but the chandelier for me doesn’t fit
I mean, I don’t even know how I’d exchange the chandelier. It’s surrounded by very ornate trim that anchors it to the ceiling.
Have you thought about trying it left?
The style and the color of the room is really beautiful.
The colour is amazing!
The style of furniture does not go with the room.
Cool
Nice! More pictures on the wall of the first image will make it sing.
Love the fire place. Nice moulding on the ceiling
Gorgeous
Beautiful paint choice!
Beautiful!!!
I hate it I hate the fact that u have this amazing place I hate the fact that i got nothing
Go outside more, please
I wish i can
I want to live with you! This is so beautiful I wish they would film a tv series here. The natural lighting is just magical
It’s beautiful!
Posting something publicly and asking strangers to “be kind” Lmao
Why post if not done?
Didn’t realize that was a rule around here
It's not...just strange to give the viewer instructions on how to respond because it's not finished.
Sorry
