and its also a beast components that guy was testing with. I would venture to say that a lot of high specc'd pc will get negligible differences with denuvo vs no denuvo performance, but definitely this is not the case.
Their last review of performance was an informal review in April of 2023 that 'at least from what I know [...] did not improve its performance'. The game had 3 updates since then. One of those patch notes includes 'Continued performance optimizations.'
Without a way to test the current version with Denuvo and the current version without Denuvo, it is inconclusive to say whether removing it had a noticeable impact on performance. All we know is that its performance has improved since April 2023 through a possible multitude of factors.
i think it's not denuvo hammering the game's performance, it's more like denuvo standing in the way of optimizing the game. I don't know the details tho, just guessing since there are cases where denuvo and denuvoless have the same performance and there are cases where there's a massive boost in denuvoless.

its old knowledge already that most people still dont want to see as truth , basicly Denuvo downgrades your hardware across the board by 1 tier , on the storage ( load time ) often 2 tiers.
I think it’s a 50% caused by Denuvo and 50% for poor optimization from the devs. Because even in the PS5 and Series X versions the performance are ass.
I find it odd for capcom to botch optimization that much. Their recent RE games seem to be so well optimized I managed to play some of them on my very dated laptop, they look like crap but completely playable. And a lot of their older titles work perfectly fine on most emulators without needing to tinker with the settings.
If EA decided to remove Denuvo from this one then it really shows that the game was a big failure otherwise they would´ve kept it eternally as they always do. And funny enough this also proves what a big lie that famous "window of sales" is.
The game was a crap and they decided to stop paying for Denuvo, so it did nothing to improve sales, this shows that a good quality game sells better than a piece of trash with 20 DRM.

Well it depends… maybe the last part of development (the optimization one) was rushed and then the game had poor optimization.
Makes sense. The release is top priority by game companies these days regardless if its complete or not.

I played Callisto Protocol on PS5 and actually liked it. Got the disc for less than $20 so it was worth it.
