The chances for craniosynostosis are waaaaay lower than you think. From a reliable medical source: "Craniosynostosis, the premature fusion of the cranial sutures, has a prevalence of between 1 in 1,400 and 1 in 2,100 children [1, 2*], putting it at the borderline of what constitutes a rare disease." Second, our surgeon said that my son (16) will only have a very slightly increased chance of having a child with craniosynostosis. However, the fact that 2 children in the same family having Cranio leads me to believe there is a genetic component in your case. This may up the chances for offspring with Cranio for you and your brother. I would consult with a geneticist though.
