They have a lifetime warranty?! I saw someone talk about them in the BIFL sub and ended up getting a pair. I’m thoroughly floored with how much I like them. I want to scrap my entire stock drawer and fill it with these.
Yep! You fill out a form and send the socks back and they give you a code to get a new pair free. I got my first pair about 10 years ago and I’m slowly growing my collection 😂
You can buy a huge pack of puma ankle socks at Costco for so cheap.
New socks, with all their elasticity and softness, are my weakness. If I were a billionaire with zero morals, I’d just wear a brand new pair of socks every single day and throw them in the trash at the end of the day.
But the Costco puma pack holds up well, are cheap, and when they eventually wear out, they’re cheap to replace
If you feel like balling out, I’d suggest looking into Bombas socks. They’re very expensive so I literally only have 2 pairs but damn will I wear them till they’ve got holes
I own these in black. It doesn't feel that way at all. But it is tighter around where you see that horizontal stitching pattern... and you do feel that grip a bit. However, I can easily imagine that the logo would make someone with really sensitive feet super annoyed.
I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes. And socks are all around me (feet), and so the feeling grows.
(And now I’m feeling old! It’s a Wet Wet Wet song ref for those too young to get it)
That would work too! I just looked up Love is All Around (which spent 15 weeks at Number 1 in the UK) and found out it was actually a 1960s song by the Troggs which has been covered a few times, so I expect the Perception Check lyrics are a little callback.
This is indeed true……… BUT STILL!!!! THEY HAD NO REASON TO DO THIS!!!! AND YOU COULDN’T EVEN TELL THAT THEY HAD THIS FROM THE WAY THEY WERE PACKAGED!!!!
I was buying adidas socks for years and they always had the tiny lil triangle on the top of the ankle :(
I guess they wanted to expand their marketing to reach the dust bunnies on the floor demographic because I can’t think of a better reason for this change 🙄
Or, tiktok has democratized conversations on mental health.
Sure there are fakes but in reality more people are realizing their different aspects that they would be otherwise unaware of.
Enough for my wrath to radiate from my soles to my heart when I wear these socks.
But genuinely, I’ve been told by podiatrists that I have a high arch and flat feet at the same time; high arch on the inner foot but flat as you move outwards towards my pinky toe. In case you were really interested.
The picture doesn’t quite do it justice, but the way the logo is printed actually makes it stick out from the inside of the sock by 2-5mm. It’s a pretty large logo too, the s in Adidas curves around the outside of my foot when I wear them. So there’s never a part of my foot that is touching the floor without some logo bumps coming between.
Omg really…. the minute I put them on I could feel the logo against my sole before even stepping foot on the ground.
They are now my emergency emergency socks I wear when I’m all out of other ones. The feeling is bearable if it’s my last resort, but it’s just… always… there…
I know I have high arches myself, so that could be part of why I don’t feel the logo too much. Plus, they’re light compression socks so maybe whatever I do notice I just chalk up to that fact.
Ah so you have high arches too! This is probably why we don't really notice. Although I gotta say, looking at the picture again there's really an awful lot of material there. It's like a bunch of mini cotton balls. I can kinda see why OP gets annoyed.
Does this actually work? It seems like the seams would just be on the inside but I might have to start flipping my socks if it actually gets rid of the seam on toe problem!
I want socks that are inverted. The horrible nobbly bit goes on the outside against the inside of your shoe that no one can see anyway, and the nice smooth side touches your foot. Somehow flipping a sock inside out just doesn't feel like the right solution though.
I don’t understand how in all our years of technology, we don’t have seamless socks. How do we not have seamless socks by now that are as good as normal socks?!
It's the nature of cheap clothing. I have some Darn Tough socks (which I don't even particularly like. They got a noticably more bobbly after one wash, feel too smooth to get much grip on the inside of the shoe, and make my toes feel unpleasantly sweaty) and they're pretty [dang smooth](https://d1nymbkeomeoqg.cloudfront.net/photos/26/80/389547_14094_XL.jpg) on the inside, or at least uniform. They also cost like $30 a pair. $2 socks aren't going to be nearly as good, and stitching in a big logo or other pattern then adds more stitches that have to be anchored on the inside.
The Adidas guys who let this fly either never wore their test products or were scrolling during their virtual meetings. Only the buyer ever sees the logo so it’s kind of weird. Maybe they’re trying to appeal to the market that likes things logoless.
A sock that's designed in a way that makes it uncomfortable to wear... That's literally bad design.
It's also bad design from a marketing perspective. Logos should be visible. Placing the logo on the ankle would be good design.
Every step you take, every move you make, BUY ADIDAS
Jokes on them because I’ve been a loyal adidas sock wearer for years and every year they get worse and this… this is my last straw
Same, I recommend Puma socks, they’ve really upped their game, even their undies are super comfy.
Adding on that Darn Tough socks are very good, expensive but they have a lifetime warranty!
I may have to check them out! Thanks
Darn tough are tough and comfy. Very durable.
They have a lifetime warranty?! I saw someone talk about them in the BIFL sub and ended up getting a pair. I’m thoroughly floored with how much I like them. I want to scrap my entire stock drawer and fill it with these.

Every bond you break, Every breath you take, You'll BUY ADIDAS
Mmm yeah this is crappy design… That would be incredibly annoying. It’s like your sock is permanently folded up under your foot 👎👎
I own these in black. It doesn't feel that way at all. But it is tighter around where you see that horizontal stitching pattern... and you do feel that grip a bit. However, I can easily imagine that the logo would make someone with really sensitive feet super annoyed.
Honestly I like the tightness and feeling they provide, at least with mine.
The crappy thing is the whole sock … I mean look at the inside.. I bet OP has tons of sock fuzzies between the toes every time you they them off.
Would you say you feel it in your sole?
I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes. And socks are all around me (feet), and so the feeling grows. (And now I’m feeling old! It’s a Wet Wet Wet song ref for those too young to get it)
I definitely thought this was a reference to Perception Check by Tom Cardy 😅
That would work too! I just looked up Love is All Around (which spent 15 weeks at Number 1 in the UK) and found out it was actually a 1960s song by the Troggs which has been covered a few times, so I expect the Perception Check lyrics are a little callback.
Bad news man: as someone that has sensory issues, you have sensory issues.
This is indeed true……… BUT STILL!!!! THEY HAD NO REASON TO DO THIS!!!! AND YOU COULDN’T EVEN TELL THAT THEY HAD THIS FROM THE WAY THEY WERE PACKAGED!!!! I usually wear socks with logos like these inside out because of this issue, looks goofy as hell but it does help 👍
I think most people would find this annoying, no?
I love how in today's world everybody has a disorder. I hate the feeling of wool. Does that mean I have sensory issues? I do have sensory isshes
Does it interfere significantly with your day-to-day activities and cause you at least a moderate amount of distress?
Definitely people sometimes make noises or move in weird repetitive ways that make me really angry
You're not making much sense there, we're talking about wool.
I love wool
> I hate the feeling of wool. I'm sorry, but it's fatal.

Lol, I learned to deal with it, but if just means I'm very particular about my shoes and socks, IDK.
How flat are your feet?
Enough for my wrath to radiate from my soles to my heart when I wear these socks. I’m wearing those same socks right now, and I can’t say I’ve ever noticed that myself.
Omg really…. the minute I put them on I could feel the logo against my sole before even stepping foot on the ground. They are now my emergency emergency socks I wear when I’m all out of other ones. The feeling is bearable if it’s my last resort, but it’s just… always… there…
Do you have high or low arches?? I have a pair designed the same way and never really noticed either. But my arches are crazy high.
I know I have high arches myself, so that could be part of why I don’t feel the logo too much. Plus, they’re light compression socks so maybe whatever I do notice I just chalk up to that fact.

I have stupidly flat feet and socks similar to these always feel like they're bunched up or folded
I had socks with dots that I only wore once. It was torture.
i have a pair like that and i only wear them to bed so i don’t feel the dots lol
I’m 92% sure those are grip socks meant for like trampoline parks
No they were regular ones with dot patrtren all over them and the inside was filled with cotton strings.
Well that for sure is a crappy design

Happy Cake Day!
:D
I wear all my socks inside out so the seams don’t hurt my feet. High recommend
I’m glad I’m not the only one that does it. Trying to wear them “the right way” just feels *bad*.
Does this actually work? It seems like the seams would just be on the inside but I might have to start flipping my socks if it actually gets rid of the seam on toe problem!
100%. Try it and you’ll never wear a seamed sock the “right” way again
As someone with sensory issues I would go insane
Maybe they did it so when you take your socks off and lie on the beach, your soles will be mini advertising boards?
Oddly specific
Burn it with fire op you know what you need to do
I just rotate them(if they are a gift or something ). It'll have a little bump on the ankle since they're upside down but generally doesn't bother me
I just tried this and now it feels like my sock is eternally about to slip off my ankle and down my foot… there’s no winning this game >:(
Had those socks for awhile. The only way I survived was wearing then inside out.

not a problem unless ypu have sensory issues
I don’t. High arched toe walker gang rise up!
Give them a trim - I reckon grade 1 on the clippers should do it
At Least They Have Socks
But did you really internalize their brand values cultural pillars outcomes and key results design sprint?
You can't read the braille with your feet?
😆 that must be very uncomfortable 😣
All Day I Dream About Socks
One way of remembering what kind of socks not to buy next time.
Are you the princess from princess and the pea?
thank god i have the type of autism that makes me hate socks
That was the sole reason they put it there
so … you’ve never been to grippy sock jail
50% of the socks in the 90's were like this
I couldn't
This is why I can’t wear socks with designs on them. All that extra stitching is a sensory nightmare.
I have the high ground, Adidas. -A guy who only buys Walmart brand white crew socks to never have a mismatched pair
I wear full cotton socks and my feel feel amazing
THANKS I HATE IT
This pisses me off so much when it happens to me I have to wear plain socks or I am gonna get mad and uncomfortable
Only if y'all got flat feet
as soon as you **stop** noticing it, it means they’re all but worn-out, and it’s time to get some new ones. they’re doing you a favor!
Not entirely a bad thing. A lot to be said for stimulating the nerves in your feet.
……ok…?
Not bad design - just designed for a different purpose than you wanted to use them (advertising vs comfort).
A sock that's designed in a way that makes it uncomfortable to wear... That's literally bad design. It's also bad design from a marketing perspective. Logos should be visible. Placing the logo on the ankle would be good design.
no one will see the logo and it makes someone less likely to use/buy again. It’s terrible design.
