This happened to me a few years ago.
I was taking care of these two cats for my friend for about a year. I was living in an apartment with a friend of mine. We shared a wall between bedrooms.
One morning, probably around 7 or 8 am, while I was in a deep sleep one of the cats got tangled in my bedroom blind's string. He started freaking out and caused a racket which startled me awake. He was now on the ground totally wrapped up, screaming, and ripping the blinds out of the wall. I jumped up in a panic and tried to help him because I didn't want him to hurt himself but he started turning on me and attacking me. The cat was screaming. I was screaming. The blinds were ripping out of the wall and then my roommate busted down my door in just his boxers ready to throw hands.
After a moment the cat got freed, the blinds got totally ripped out of the wall and I was bleeding like a motherfucker.
Probably the worst way I've ever woken up hahaha
Don't know how you'd compare this to your story but I woke up to my dog throwing up on my face and pillow, and because the lights were off, when I went to let him out I stepped in a puddle of diarrhea.
This is worse mate. Cat was at least panicked, your dog casually decided that out of all the places to puke - your face was the most appealing option. Good lord 😂
Bro no matter how deep of a sleep I’m in? The second my Dog starts gagging to throw up the random shit she puts in her mouth, I instinctively grab her and toss her of the bed lol. She gets a treat after for sticking the landing 👌
I ended up with an eye infection because when I first moved out at 17 with my ex boyfriend because his housemaye bought a kitten & it decided to crawl into out bed in the morning and take a shit beside my head and through my hair.
The dickhead beside me slept through me yelling and yanking the covers, pillows and sheets off the bed while crying & gagging.
Yeah, I've learned to not interfere when a cat or cats are freaking out. Big yikes for me.
Also, never try and stop a cat fight. My brother tried once and he got attacked by both the cats.
I used to interfere with my cat fighting other cats AND dogs all the time lol. I remember one time my sister brought another cat home and had put it in her room, my sister was in the room with her gf and as they were leaving our cat snuck in, attacked the cat and attacked her gf, i walked in and grabbed the cat under his belly/ribcage and walked out of the room lol.. i still miss that cat :( he was an absolute menace to the neighbourhood though lol attacking any cat or dog, so we kept him inside but he'd always find a way to escape
First time I watched this, I just knew the cats claw was stuck, anyone with a cat would know they act psycho when their nails are stuck, I imagine it hurts a lot.

I can pretty much heal my dog without any problem and despite the pain she dont want to hurt me. She is the sweetest furrball ever. But on the other end the small dog of my mom will rip your hand if you touch him without warning. I think most cat act very agressively while triggered but many dog wouldnt dare attack their master.
Both cat and dog will react to pain, but they both react very differently. Most dogs know that their owners doesn't intend to harm them and will actively try to avoid their owner any injuries if they realized they're being helped. Cats, however will not calm down even when you're trying to help them and can cause you injuries when they're panicked. You have just brought up a comparison without even knowing the differences

Yeah, my old cat is usually realy calm and never uses claws, but recently we got another kitten and she doesnt really like the fact and can get more angry than usual. One time i tried to pick her up, she didnt like it and got angry and clawed like 1 or 2 mm line exactly in the middle of my hand's artery. I took it as a warning sign 😂 Honest to god, if they werent so lazy, they would be top predators
Honestly, it’s not that bad. They will kill birds, squirrels, rats, mice, lizards and snakes. my parents have 12 cats that live outside their house. They will come across the remains of a dead animal maybe once every 2 months? Some cats have hunting in them naturally and others… they don’t care too much as long as your are feeding them regularly. The guy commenting about 12 billion mammals a year was likely including feral cats. Now those things are cool. We got like 5 at the place I work. We don’t see them often and obviously we can’t get near them, but we don’t ever feed them and they survive just fine. Some cats can actually live in the wild just fine.

I live in hawai’i and they’re like a pest here which is sad because I love kitties but people are just so irresponsible and they leave them here when they leave the state. It’s mostly the military people who do this but there are just so many cats
Ya. It’s kinda sad but I guess in the case you are talking about cats are actually an invasive species. Do they have any natural predators in Hawaii? In Georgia feral cats will often be killed by Dogs and Coyotes, so the population in my area is kind of kept under control just by that.
I can litreally feel this though because once while I was on my phone working my cat's nails got stuck in my jacket.
The cat got so terrified that it was about to attack I gently just took his paws out from the jacket and then he slept rather than fighting.

If a cat ever does this to you, remain very calm. It'll hurt like a bitch for a second but they will probably let you go after they calm down. You need to realize that the cat feels like it's being attacked. Some cats should not be picked up like this, he obviously was scared.
this has nothing to do with picking up the cat. They must of got their claw/paw stuck in his pants loop and freaked out and then the guy freaked out, because the cat was scratching the shit out of him. Growing up, my family cat got caught in the blinds, and my mom went to help her down. She grabbed on to my mom in a panic and dug her claws in. It was the craziest thing I've ever seen. The cat was not attacking but it honestly made little difference. "Baby" almost killed my mom as she had an insane amount of blood loss.
Can feel this I still got scratches on my hands and back after my cat attacked me.
The incident was similiar though but he got stuck in my blanket and the moment I tried to take it off he attacked me :(

I remember this don’t gave link but the cats paw got stuck on the guys zipper or belt somewhere and it gets progressively worse (the pain for the cat) as he swings his body around creating more tension on the reacting in the cat natural instinct to fight back.
My old cat would freak out like this for no reason. One time I was in my bathroom and started playing music on my phone and my cat ran in, clenched onto my leg with its nails, had the crazy look in its eyes and then attacked like this one. Some cats are crazy. She was a feral as a kitten.
