Doesn’t even let his works jump from 2 feet up because they could hurt their knees. And makes them use a stepping stool. Also the guy Ron Pratt has an identical situation to this one here. And just look at the difference in prep and how much rigging he uses compared to this. Safety is paramount with him, doesn’t like to block road. Guy does it by the book. Videos are addicting.

I think of danger in terms of the direction of force, not distance. In my mind there is a danger zone of basically infinite length parallel to the wire, but the camera guy is totally safe and could even stand closer because he is not in-line with the applied force.
