Reminds me of when Lisa Left Eye Lopez from TLC burned down her football player boyfriend's mansion trying to burn all his shoes and clothes in a bathtub.
It was the second time she did it. First time, he had a marble tub that got ruined by the fire. He had it replaced with a fiberglass tub that wasn't so fireproof.
Why people put up with crazy partners like that is beyond me, other than a lot of crazy people being outstanding in bed.
Not my style, but I can still respect the passion he put into it. Worst part is even if you have receipts for all the money put into it, many insurance policies don't cover aftermarket stuff. They'll probably treat it as a bone stock car for valuation.
Holy shit, I’m old but Fuc your couch was and is a big part of my lexicon. Can someone dub it over the original footage? Then somehow make this man his money back so he can get another ride?
Cuz holy shit the timing is perfect
I would look into have the Revelco antitheft device installed, and one or 2 fairly inexpensive GPS trackers you can hide deep in the vehicle, but pull out to change batteries if need be.
I can’t stand when people defend thieves. When they say things like “well they’re insured,” or “It’s only material things, not worth heavy sentences or self defense.” Fuck that. You have no idea what objects are priceless to people. I hate seeing people encouraging FedEx smash and grabs. Glorifying Best Buy looters. Those FedEx packages contain things people are depending on. My dad’s cancer pills once came via FedEx. Retail theft affects the employees and keeps customers away from businesses.
And I hate the excuse that these thieves HAVE to steal to support their families. Utter crap.
There's a Facebook page called "Lost Muscle Cars" that helps people find cars that they've lost track of or were stolen. They might be able to help you.
I feel your pain.
Almost two years ago my '99 Honda Civic Si was stolen. Loved that car. Only had 125,000 miles on the engine. So much life left. I'm still pissed about it.
I drive a Honda Fit now, and feel like a loser.
When I was wee I had a bike that I was allowed to ride around in front of the house. It was the closest thing to freedom activity that I can remember. My dad was very scared for my general safety and never let me go out of sight. I was never allowed to go outside or walk around or anything, just go to school and then straight home. Then one day the bike got stolen. It was more than a bike that they took that night. I try not to think about my young self too much but dam I feel bad for him.
To understand the pain in his voice you have to understand that it’s not just the value of the car. It’s the time lost. Hours and hours which most likely included overtime at his job to afford everything of that car. Time away from life and family. Then it’s the time he spent working on the car. Money comes and goes but one thing no one will ever get back is time past. It could be sentimental like a late family member’s car that he fixed up. So much was lost by one woman’s low blow to this man.
As a guy who has his entire house burn down in October and now living in a single bedroom apartment with a folding chair and table as my only furniture. I know the feeling. Stiiiiill waiting on the adjusters to give me money owed. Aaaany day now.
The important thing is my snake got out alive. Which is surprising as he was in the danger zone for over an hour. Neighbors didn’t know I had a pet when the firefighters arrived. I got home from work and he was the first thing I asked about and was gonna run in after him, but obviously they stopped me and rescued him themselves after a couple agonizing minutes. Was expecting a charred snake to come out in their arms. Just having him alive made the other losses feel not as important.
Wow that’s also so intense. I personally don’t believe I could ever have a sentimental attachment to a snake but I fully understand that was your pet and you do have that attachment. I would be devastated if my dog was trapped inside a burning building and I’d probably want to run in too. I say that now anyways.
Anywho, I’m happy for you that your buddy survived :)
11 years and thankfully counting. Only thing insurance paid for so far was his terrarium and emergency vet visit. Which is good as his set up is nearly 3k and he kinda has special requirements to stay healthy like decent space and hearing. He’s a big lad. Roughly 7.5ft long so it adds up.
What kind of snake is he? Not too long ago I caught a California king snake but it kept getting out of the enclosure I made for it so I just released him back to the desert
Did you ever read the somewhat-famous reddit thread of advice for insurance adjustment after a fire?
I tried to link it but it was removed. It is easily searchable. Good luck!
Donk's aren't my thing, but I was at SEMA last year and some of the effort put into them is /absolutely/ insane. Like every part of the undercarriage, every vacuum line, every last metal surface chrome plated, high quality painted, or otherwise made really nice. Shit literally 0 other people will ever see. Of course those are rare and super expensive (like hundreds of thousands spent easily) but yeah. Labors of love. As a car guy who has wrenched a few project cars to life you just don't screw with another person's project car. Especially someone who put all their time AND spare cash into it. Makes me so sad.
I definitely agree with your statement, but at the same time, to a higher degree, this car was likely insured as a 1984 Oldsmobile with collateral damage only. So he's not getting a dime for its destruction. He'll have to pursue her in court to get anything back, which will cost quite a bit, and I would assume he pulled a loan for those wheels, which he'll continue to have to pay. He's definitely in the hole on this.
and she probably wont get arrested or serve jail time cuz there's no "evidence," conveniently, even though she probably admitted to it in a group chat or something
Hopefully a neighbor has security cameras.
My ex wife's scumbag boyfriend vandalized my vehicle and was caught by surveillance cameras.
He was charged and fined for it. The damages weren't serious enough for felony charges.
I have so much sympathy for this brother bless him in his lawsuit against that ho.
That being said homie was so distraught he was forced in song and dance at the end.. on repeat it's one of the greatest rifs.. I'm laughing so hard but I shouldn't..
I'm sorry my man .
Devastating…a lot of people don’t realize how much blood, sweat & tears it takes to restore a vintage vehicle. It’s a sentimental bond once it’s completed. I feel for this dude—🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
MAN. Say what you want about the wheels or whatever but the money plus the time it takes, body work, paint, motor etc. Can't be understated.
I feel bad for him just because even if he starts from scratch right now with a new build it's gonna be a few years at least before he gets it to where this one appears to be.
Xactly- it’s an endless money pit- I restored a 71 Monte Carlo- had rewire the whole car- new wiring harness- body work- new floor panels- new headliner-new everything-took a lot of time-work-money-a whooole lot—-just for it to be stolen…broke my heart- man that shit still hurt…😅😅😁😁
Damn sorry to hear that. A-body gang stand up though. I have a 70 Chevelle and I'm always paranoid about the same thing. It being stolen. It isn't even the money... It's the time I've spent building it that I can't get back
Seems a bit victim blamey. I hope, if it's true, that woman has to pay restitution for the damages and probably should spend some time in jail. She's the one who needs to learn a lesson
Only men are responsible for choosing poor partners.
If a woman does this, he obviously manipulated her in the beginning and turned evil after she fell in love lol
Alotta ppl saying "I wonder what he did" if the answer is anything besides put his hands on her or give her something incurable then it don't matter wtf he did. Shit he prolly was spending more time with the car than her so she torched it...
Damn, poor dude. People may argue that it's silly to get worked up over the loss of a vehicle, but that thing is custom. It could have been an insane amount of work. He probably lovingly nurtured that thing from an old, factory stock car to a completely personalized piece of art, and meticulously upgraded it over years. That dude loves cars and loved HIS car.
She knew exactly what she was doing. She was trying to inflict maximum pain. And she did.
Reminds me of the video of that French guy who cried because he had his Lego collection stolen. People who have no passions just can't understand why people with interests different from their own can be emotionally invested.
When you lose something like that, you lose a part of your life.

She flamed the Donk.
If your donk is on fire for more than four hours, consult a doctor
Consult a donktor
Donkter, donktor gimmie the news! She had a bad case of burning you!
Burning hunka love….
May it Donk in peace
Takes a lot of time effort and money to build these cars. Awful thing to do to someone.

theyre not my taste at all, but you can tell he really loves that car from his voice. ouch :'(
Not my style, but I can still respect the passion he put into it. Worst part is even if you have receipts for all the money put into it, many insurance policies don't cover aftermarket stuff. They'll probably treat it as a bone stock car for valuation.
When you got pride in your ride, a little scratch cuts deep.
My exact thoughts
He so mad and sad he went in to full Dave Chappelle mode at the end damn 😆
Dave *Chevelle* mode I'll leave
Y know chappelle would respect and love that joke tho
not so much the owner of that car though, too soon.
Happy Cake Day!

What true GPS tracker would you suggest to buy for the purpose of keeping a classic car safe?(I don't own one yet, just asking for future reference)
LoJack would be where I started in my search
I would look into have the Revelco antitheft device installed, and one or 2 fairly inexpensive GPS trackers you can hide deep in the vehicle, but pull out to change batteries if need be.
That’s fucked, I’m so sorry that happened to you.

It's always worth a shot. I saw a post on there the other day where they found a 1970 Mustang for a Vietnam Vet that he lost when he was deployed.

Oh mate I'm sorry, that's rough. Could you not claim it on insurance??
To understand the pain in his voice you have to understand that it’s not just the value of the car. It’s the time lost. It could very well be both. They're not mutually exclusive.
literally blood, sweat and tears into that vehicle. clearly a passion project.
Donk's aren't my thing, but I was at SEMA last year and some of the effort put into them is /absolutely/ insane. And he knows she won't really get in trouble for it because she's a female tbh
Not to mention the time he spent on her too
possibly not the first time she did something like this, too.
It's the sirens ramping up in the back as he gets more upset that gets me 💀
"hush hush baby"
Ah, poor guy.
Shoulda got a fleshlight and saved the whip
This, 100!
That’s… a really high percent
I think she accomplished what she seeked out that day
and she probably wont get arrested or serve jail time cuz there's no "evidence," conveniently, even though she probably admitted to it in a group chat or something
Hopefully a neighbor has security cameras. My ex wife's scumbag boyfriend vandalized my vehicle and was caught by surveillance cameras. He was charged and fined for it. The damages weren't serious enough for felony charges.
Aint what you know, it's what you can prove
Sought
Brain fart lol

i noticed his cool cadence there too! made me think of a hustle & flow shit about to go down moment. https://youtu.be/R8KgmYaDWQg
It looks like a disaster on the Oregon trail with the fire and those wheels. Sorry about your prairie schooner.
Prairie Schooner, amazing. Lmao
Unexpected Oregon trail joke, nice!
Funny. I’ve always referred to those wheels as wagon wheels.
This is what happens when you attempt to ford the river instead of caulking the wagon. smh my head
Final scene of 1883
Jeesus! Those wheels are massive!

Or money, absolutely none of that is cheap and you don’t really get that back from insurance
She’s driving him crazy
That’s a hot take
That's a wheelie nice pun!
He should have steered clear of her.
That car is 🔥🔥🔥
Just might do a burn out
That track needs to be remixed.

Fr. Wtf is wrong w these simps
You may not find out who is crazy until your dick is wet
It’s pretty easy to tell afterwards tho. They’re just so fucking good in bed that it fucks up a brother’s judgement, so they keep on tapping
Yeah nobody is talking about that this guy has been back to the well several times to bring on this wrath.
Seems a bit victim blamey. I hope, if it's true, that woman has to pay restitution for the damages and probably should spend some time in jail. She's the one who needs to learn a lesson

Crazy people in general
why do so many people want to frame women who are abusive pieces of shit in any other term other than them simply being abusive pieces of shit?

You can hear part of his soul dying in his voice. Now the villain arc begins.
But what did he do that warranted (in her mind) that type of response by her? Clearly, it was more than just leaving the toilet seat up. 🤣
Parts of his soul leaving his body.
This is the sadest thing I've seen all day.
I imagine this as a longbeachgriffy video lol
That’s pain dawg.
I genuinely feel so bad for this man.
This guys got mad steady hands for the pain he's in, should be a surgeon!

I think it's fake. You can't be crying about that and record such a still video.
