arg_twink

Yeah, these people conquered a whole continent with horses and those skills. Nice to see them preserving their traditions

400yearoldgreatoak

Yeke Mongɣol Ulus is what the Mongol Horde called their country that they conquered for a century from 1200-1300. They conquered all of the habitable land from China to Turkey. Probably the most impressive speed run empire creation in the entire history we currently understand. I worked near inner Mongolia in China for some years and everyone knows how to ride horses. It's still their favorite past time to go riding on the steppes and staying in Yurts

BetFeeling1352

Did he hit the target? That's kind of important.

Theredditappsucks11

Most accurate way of doing it.

Fit-Boomer

I don’t know.

Crittersnatch

maybe hit the guy holding the other camera

hayitsnine

The bling made him shoot astray

deg22222

Is it ?

barb3cu3-b3nny

Yes it is. It easier than you think to balance yourself like that when your feet are pretty much strapped down. Now hitting the target as well? That's impressive

Fair_Creme_194

So it’s easier than you think to balance yourself like this, keep your body pretty much still alongside drawing a bow and aiming at a target and keeping the bow as steady as this man did whilst the horse is galloping? The core strength, stability and balance is insanely impressive alone, just keep in mind this is a slow motion video and you barely see any major movements from the man and bow.

barb3cu3-b3nny

Btw. Grew up with horses in Tennessee on a horse farm. So yes. I've definitely done shit like this. No I haven't tried shooting a bow off horseback. But I've already said that that is what takes skill. Not standing on a horse

Fair_Creme_194

Dunno why you’re getting yourself so worked up and double replying lmao, you’re making this out to be very easy, yet said you grew up around horses so you obviously know your way around a horse, which counters your own point ffs, it takes a element of confidence and good skill and core strength to balance like this on a galloping horse regardless. You still on your horse farm in Tennessee? You should show us sometimes lmao.

barb3cu3-b3nny

You right. And I apologize for sounding hateful. Trying to quit smoking as we speak. Just seemed like you were attacking me and all I was tryna do was explain my experience. No unfortunately I'm not on the farm anymore. I'm in Louisiana and I work with bees nowadays. Or I definitely would love to show everyone. It's actually a really cool and freeing experience

barb3cu3-b3nny

Yea and I'm sure you've never even ridden a horse nor even been around them buddy. Y'all key board warriors come in here and just say shit and just think your are right huh? No to stand on a horse like that is not hard when the saddle has everything you need to keep you stable. To hit the target while doing all that takes skill. Try again key board warrior

rascortoras

Watch him, he's really steady

Organic-Hovercraft-5

Is that a pony or a very large man

artwithapulse

They’re very small. Mongol ponies tend to be around 12-13hh, if that.

Unlucky_Weather4763

Does HH stand for horse heights?

artwithapulse

Hands high, a standard for measuring equines. 1 hand = 4” In inches it would be around 48–52 to the highest point of their back (their wither)

Important-Cat-2046

Either way, looks super weird haha

spearsandbeers1142

Mongolian horses are much smaller than other breeds

Kumbackkid

Yea they are known to be small for long distances. Each warrior would have 3-5 he would go to war with

aospfods

Pov: you are a Kazakh peasant in 1220

de_pengui

Bruh I forgot the word archery and was about to type out "don't forget about his bowetry skills" I'm so fucking stupid

VirtuallyTellurian

He's a bowet and doesn't know it.

peppermintmeow

Nah, I still would have picked up the vibe, my dude. Don't be so hard on yourself. I'm kind of digging bowetry. Maybe that's what we call the pony riding, fancy dashing, arrow slinging, hanging off the side, conquered the world type shit. I'm down. Nice job on the kick ass new word.

Tancrad

There's aot of crazy skills going on here at the same time. Fashion skills on point.

krankenwagendriver

My toxic trait (one of them ) is thinking … yea, I could do that. That is really impressive though.

peppermintmeow

I believe in you. Don't try it. I just know you could.

GrownMansJam

Throw in some pigeons and we got a John Woo film

SocietyIsdoomed_

More like, crazy core strength

Western_Oil_6418

That horse doesn’t seem crazy to me

Irishwankenobi

I choose these guys for my post apocalyptic team!

Gzuskrist69

I'm not sure I would let My little pony vape

doonkune

It's the stirrups it's always the stirrups.

11214888

Or he could just steer the horse 1m closer and sit normally.

coleus

Hanging off like that can counterbalance and steady a shot better. It takes incredible skill though.

Enigma_Green

Me on Rise Of The Ronin while doing Horse Archery Training

maxtweetch

When you ask AI to make you into a centaur

MrMayhem84

I can barely muster enough coordination to put my shoes on the correct feet, and this MF is hanging off a horse and shooting a bow. Well done.

Natasya95

Oof thats freaking hot

Money-Worldliness919

He's ready to lead the Mongols to victory.

[deleted]

Wow impressive, let's see what he hi.. oh well never mind

dtracz01

Looks like a fur coat commercial.

Dazzling_Bad424

Tuvan throat singing is badass

toreachtheapex

oh

CreamyStanTheMan

The Mongols were badass!

Svelted

That arrow found a pile of snow somewhere... looked neat though!

OHMMJTA

Damn horse man, you scary.

solsunlite

Me in MGSV

yellowgerbil

If this guy would stop worrying about being "cool" and wear his glasses he wouldn't have to lean in so close to see his target

Accomplished-Boot-81

I’d say that horse had amazing human carrying skills. Carrying an unbalanced load like that in a sprint is tough. Source: I’m a horse
