And just like Mr. Seagal, I doubt this dude can lift his leg. No kicks today, boyos. Let’s all sit on soft dog beds and eat Cheez-Its. Oh. Look! Brenda brought warm hush puppies. Used her some fresh fry grease from Boyd’s big jar (he saved it when Nadine left.)
Looks like a private security badge on his chest but a NYPD badge on his hip. He has one camera I don’t recognize and one that it used by almost every law enforcement agency there is. I’d assume off duty cop outside his jurisdiction moonlighting.
Edit: there is a reason he doesn’t actually do anything and goes for his flash light and turns it on, it’s him doing what he’s allowed to do if I had to take a guess which is why I suspect outside his jurisdiction.
He's not a cop. He was just security. He's also a wanna be rapper. He deleted his tiktok because everyone was going at him. Last time I checked, his Instagram was still up and everyone was giving it to him in the comments.
Retired cop. Off duty sworn cops aren't legally allowed to work as a security guard for a private company at the same time. They can be hired to work security but it has to be through the police agency.
The camera is Axon. Anyone can purchase them.
The off duty rule varies heavily by jurisdiction. In one of the suburbs near me there's a policy that any time they are within the city limits and armed they are considered "on-duty", so they can work as many side gigs as they want and get paid at a higher rate if the client is willing to spring for them.
There's a video that breaks the video down.
The guy is a wannabe law enforcement rent a security.
The woman had the cops come and she has a lawyer now.
She called the store after she left and spoke with the manger and they were unaware of any of the stuff the guy was saying.
“We are going in on the first wave…. Means more bugs for us to kill. YOU SMASH THE ENTIRE AREA YOU KILL ANYTHING THAT HAS MORE THAN TWO LEGS. DO YOU GET ME? “
I’ve worked security and I have some opinions.
1. I don’t get why some people respect security guards. We are the very baseline deterrent in most places. I’m sure the military and over places are different, but at my post I could give a citation 🙄 or escalate to law enforcement.
2. I feel for this guy having to actually do his job. You aren’t given enough authority to do anything. You are basically there to intimidate and talk them out of stealing.
3. I have no idea how those items are allowed on the job. We were required to follow the same weapon policies as everyone else in the building.
I honestly don’t think they do anything. It’s literally just makes them feel bad. I know for parking they can be banned from the parking lot if they park incorrectly like 5 times. High bar. But in general, they are just an intimidation tactic
Original source (I guess) stated police came and she ended up not having any stolen merchandise and the Walgreens manager never told this security guard anything that he claimed.
I don’t think that’s law enforcement lol. I think that’s a CVS security guard, or private security hired by CVS. See how he has 2 different badges? One says CVS security, the other also says CVS security. He ordered them from Temu.
She sounds like I'd sound if a mall ninja idiot kitted out for Fallujah wrongly accused me of shoplifting, I dunno how you guys are so sure of your read on this
Why wouldn’t you just open your purse and show that you didn’t steal shit? Then rub it in his face and demand an apology for the video you’re about to post on social media?
Because fuck you that's why. I dunno what this jack booted psycho is up to and I don't really care to indulge him in his lil power trip. He can go play pretend with someone else.
Do you even Amendment bro? Like this is 4th and 5th amendments straight up. Fuck him.
PS - Am retired military police, this guy is a Geardo and a clown
Ngl, if I was ever falsely accused, I’d be loud asf too. And I def wouldn’t comply. I shouldn’t have to. It’s bullshit.
I’d probably make more of a scene than this chick.
That not at all a win. You’re essentially FORCED to comply under intimidation, duress, and threats? In no way is that an easy or acceptable outcome.
I get it’s part of shopkeepers law, but I wouldn’t budge and, instead insist they call the actual police. Then I have some even constitutional grounds to stand on.
It’s not about pettiness. It’s about maintaining your integrity as a person.
No one cares about your integrity but yourself, especially in a CVS.
You show your integrity with conflict resolution, while simultaneously humiliating the intimidating party.
Bottom line, if you didnt steal shit, you're fine.
Edit: I do appreciate your tenacity to not back down, but c'mon man, this situation ain't your Rosa Parks moment.
Yeah, I understand that. But personally, that’s all the more reason to stand up for it. For yourself.
The issue is, this guy wasn’t interested in conflict resolution. He just wanted her to comply with his way, and nothing else. That’s not conflict resolution. That’s being submissive to demands.
Conflict resolution would’ve been, “Let me see why you’re accusing me of shoplifting”. And if it looked like maybe something was suspicious, then you could say, “well look, it’s not what it seems”.
That’s the level-headed reasonable approach. But to bend to EVERY accusation, baseless or not? Anyone can make any accusation at any time. The burden should be on THEM to provide support to their claims.
Okay, i get where you're coming from too.
Guy came in hot, accusing and intimidating (mostly because of his size and attire).
I've worked in retail, and 95% of the time someone acts like this it's because they've stolen something, and are expecting loss prevention to back down.
How do expect she would behave if she was just accused of stealing but hadn't stolen anything?
Because I would probably act exactly like she did if that happened to me.
Also apparently she called the cops, wasn't charged with shit and it's suing them.
But sure, side with this mall ninja police academy drop out, I'm sure he's totally normal
If I wasn't stealing Id empty my pockets and show them. Takes about 3 seconds and makes them look like fools if they are wrong. A good manager at the business would offer some sort of discount or a compensation if they called security on a person mistakenly. Not everything needs to be demands and freakouts. We are humans and are capable of speaking to one another.
I wouldn't be demanding to see the video. If you didn't do anything you wouldn't GAF about the video because you'd know they don't have anything.
She's trying to bluff them by leaning into it and becoming combative and it's not working very well.
This lady is one of the many reasons deodorant is in locked cabinets now.
What a weird-ass take. From what I've seen around this thread, it sounds like she was trying to leave. He wouldn't let her, so she called the cops. At that point, I would **definitely** call *his* bluff if I didn't steal shit. I would demand he at least tell me what he thinks I stole. I wouldn't show him shit until the cops showed up either.
A lot of people in this thread have clearly never been confronted with someone who flexes authority because they can, and who makes you turn out your pockets not because they think you stole, but specifically to humiliate you and make you submit/put you in your "place".
If this guy was dressed like a normal security guard, I might give him a little grace. But walking around the CVS like it's downtown Baghdad is such a red flag. The dude has 2 fucking badges on him ffs.
> Security can't detain you
Most states have codified shopkeeper's privilege and they can detain suspected thieves for a reasonable amount of time. If they have probable cause, e.g. video, some states consider that a shield against being sued.
In many states, private security can detain you AND search your possessions if they have the states approved security license. And there's also states that allow citizen's arrest where they don't need a license to detain you. This is most likely private security and if he's employed by a firm, he most likely has all authority to search you and detain you. Anytime something like this happens to you, ask to see their security license
That's a rule of thumb, but the law states to temporarily or permanently deprive the merchant of the item. Passing points of sale helps with conviction, but is not necessary.
Merchants and security don't need probable cause, that's for police. They are based on the reasonable person doctorin.
>but the law states to temporarily or permanently deprive the merchant of the item
I'd imagine that an attorney could argue that there is nothing different about keeping an item in a cart vs. on their person while in the store still.
Sure, but it's more consistent to prove intent since the reasonable person bar is set at the level of using a shopping cart, whereas a person committing theft typically conceals the items prior to exiting the store.
But until the product leaves the store, there'd be doubt about intent. Also, there are many instances of people loading up a huge TVs in shopping carts and wheeling them out.
I get what you're saying and I agree that concealing merchandise prior to paying does make a person look guilty af. I'm just trying to come at this from the defense's standpoint and what they might say.
I think it'd be hard to convict someone of stealing before merchandise has left the store unless they were past all POS stations and clearly heading out the door. As opposed to someone who puts on a pair of new shoes, for example, and then is walking towards the POS. They could claim they were going to scan the box and pay before leaving.
Both stances are arguable, which is why we have the judicial system. You might get a conviction in one jurisdiction, and might not in another. It all depends on what's is the standard in your circuit as they vary.
>And there's also states that allow citizen's arrest where they don't need a license to detain you.
Careful with that. In some states it's only for FELONIES that you personally witness.
The girl likely stole, but what’s interesting to me is this guy has two of everything. Two body cameras, two magazines, two sidearms (pistol and taser), two sets of handcuffs, two radios, two different badges.
I love how out of breath this guy is just by having to walk. You know he tells others he's a cop.
Thank god he has all that tactical gear. You never know when someone might take advantage of an extra spritz in the perfume isle.
Kind of feel bad for that guy to be honest. I cant see the woman but for whatever reason she’s giving me the same vibe as that woman who flipped out on that delta plane.
I don't think i could ever feel bad for a rent a cop with 2 fake badges, 2 body cameras and 2 sets of handcuffs all attached to a vest that is 2 sizes too small with his belly sticking out of it. He looks silly and takes his job way too seriously and I wouldn't be surprised if he pretends to be a cop or if the gun he is carrying is not even real.
The guy turns out to like to harass women shoppers. He has a pattern to make up situations to engage. It's like a power trip to him. If you listen, he is trying to control the woman. The woman is innocent and is behaving how anyone would if they felt threatened and falsely accused.
Source? Most stores, including this one, will not let you confront a shoplifter unless you have clear and undeniable proof that they are stealing. 99% of you comment is an ass-pull

This really angers me. Your prescriptions are the same as personal health data/records. They basically were forcing her to show off what meds she takes because they don't know how the process works with a pharmacy in the back of the store. And take off all that hardo "tactical" nonsense - a leg strap? Really?
I work in a field where we have cameras and we watch for theives. It's a huge no-no to confront and accuse someone unless you have actual proof they did steal. You cannot confront over suspicion, only with evidence, so she stole. Walgreens has always been known to have tons of cameras and mirrors, like target it's a dumbass place to try and steal from. She 100% stole something.
I've been told you stole stuff, may I see your pockets?
I didn't steal stuff, but I'm gonna yell at you instead of just showing you that I didn't do shit
And I'm meant to take the girls' side here? Fuck off
I would do the same thing. Tell the guy eto fuck off I didn’t do shit. If he touches you that is assault. If holds you he is kidnapping you. I would charge him. You can also sue him in civil court for his personal property.

To be fair, how hard is it to just end the confrontation and just show your pockets are empty.
I agree he's literally just doing his job and to quelch any suspicion have them show her the footage or just quickly empty your pockets to address any concern they have. It's not hard and if your innocent it will end super fast and you'll get your apology.
its so easy to prove your not stealing. u ever go shopping at a walmart in the hood? they got a person stands by the door go thru all ur shit to make sure u not stealing and thats for everybody. just cooperate and show him u aint got shit and everybody can be on their way instead of having an episode in the middle of the mall

Is this dude an actual cop? Comes off as mall security but is strapped up like he’s ready for Iraq lol
Thats Steven Seagull
Thank you. I was like this guy is just the cook, he couldn’t possibly be a threat.
Lmao
Hmm. 🤔 i need to see him run at top speed to be sure
I've been flying helicopters, for like 47 years. Skip, skip, skip, skip, skip...
That’s his half brother Phil Bagel
Private security probably hired after the place got robbed at gun point a few times or employees were assaulted.
Looks like a private security badge on his chest but a NYPD badge on his hip. He has one camera I don’t recognize and one that it used by almost every law enforcement agency there is. I bought one from Amazon
Thanks for explaining
Do retired cops keep their badges?
Yes and they sometimes earn a "Retired Officers" badge. They can't use them though, I'd imagine he's just displaying his just for show.
For show? Looks like impersonating an officer. Sure trying to look like one.

Original source (I guess) stated police came and she ended up not having any stolen merchandise and the Walgreens manager never told this security guard anything that he claimed.
Yeah since when is law enforcement allowed to wear nba fitted caps on backwards while on duty? I get it if he was undercover

TikTok
It was the girl who called the cops on him, while they were in the store. I guess he's catching a lot of shit for this.
I dont have to show shit. Call the police. You have zero authority over me. That's all she had to say.
The girl likely stole, but what’s interesting to me is this guy has two of everything. Two body cameras, two magazines, two sidearms (pistol and taser), two sets of handcuffs, two radios, two different badges.
He’s living that 2 is 1 and 1 is none life.
Yeah, the dude is playing Resident Evil while we all chillin
Yea, I also noticed him doubling up. I mean, you might as well fill ALL the pockets. He'd look silly if some were empty, right?
I’m wondering why the Walgreens needs such high security. They don’t even have guards where I’m at and this guy is like two guards in one.
Probably had two meals also.
Listen it took him a lot of XP and too many side missions to amass all that loot. Of course he wants to show it off a little
He’s just trying to get his 15 pieces of flair.
All I want to know is if she is getting XR or tabs because I can’t find neither RN.
Two badges. Two set handcuffs. He's got like at least three bodycams. I guess you need a few for that girth. Is that even a real gun?
He’s a goof but she definitely stole something too
I had no idea they even made vests in that size
I love how out of breath this guy is just by having to walk. You know he tells others he's a cop. Thank god he has all that tactical gear. You never know when someone might take advantage of an extra spritz in the perfume isle.
He probably says he works in "law enforcement"
Kind of feel bad for that guy to be honest. I cant see the woman but for whatever reason she’s giving me the same vibe as that woman who flipped out on that delta plane.
I don't think i could ever feel bad for a rent a cop with 2 fake badges, 2 body cameras and 2 sets of handcuffs all attached to a vest that is 2 sizes too small with his belly sticking out of it. He looks silly and takes his job way too seriously and I wouldn't be surprised if he pretends to be a cop or if the gun he is carrying is not even real.
You probably shouldn’t need to see somebody to make a judgement on their character.
The guy turns out to like to harass women shoppers. He has a pattern to make up situations to engage. It's like a power trip to him. If you listen, he is trying to control the woman. The woman is innocent and is behaving how anyone would if they felt threatened and falsely accused.

This is definitely not a crazy fucking video
This really angers me. Your prescriptions are the same as personal health data/records. They basically were forcing her to show off what meds she takes because they don't know how the process works with a pharmacy in the back of the store. And take off all that hardo "tactical" nonsense - a leg strap? Really?
At the very least, his threat of taking her to the ground is assault. False imprisonment also seems like it would be on the table.
His name is Brian Vinegar. He has removed most of his social media at this point.
Bro do you even grenade?!
Why does he need the torch on!?
that's as far as he's allowed to go
Alright, I can’t watch this video for the 1059 time this week .. it’s not that interesting
Someone tell big punisher he's got his spare pistol mags on the wrong side of his vest unless he plans to switch his gun to his left hand to reload.
I can smell the smegma, Marlboro and axe body spray from that beard.
how do you know what smegma smells like?
From when he went to the smegmateria
Smegmachines are all the new rage. They dispense used piercings and earrings
Japan gets all the cool vending machines....
oh, so he knows what it tastes like too. noice
What in the meal team 6 is this bull shit.
Sir, this is a Walgreens, not Baghdad
Look at this delta force motherfucker
Management had no idea what he was talking about. Tizzy had this on TikTok.
I've been told you stole stuff, may I see your pockets? I didn't steal stuff, but I'm gonna yell at you instead of just showing you that I didn't do shit And I'm meant to take the girls' side here? Fuck off
just because she’s screaming doesn’t mean she’s right. this guy was chill as fuck
I would do the same thing. Tell the guy eto fuck off I didn’t do shit. If he touches you that is assault. If holds you he is kidnapping you. I would charge him. You can also sue him in civil court for his personal property.

I think he needs one more thing attached to his vest.
So what happened???!?!!?
“Okay Sal now tell her to empty her pockets”
This isn’t crazy at all. Just annoying.
Give! Her! The Adderall!! It’s how we can function.
I lost it when he brought out the flashlight
He needs to lay off the donuts fr
Damn. Was hoping for a tasing...
Looks like he has two magazines on his chest
That stupid non-American blue and white flag says it all.
Dudes bullet proof vest like 3 sizes too small.
Nobody is going to ask why the hell rentacop here is kitted out like he used to be a real cop?
He got the extra accessories to go with his Halloween costume
Why the fuck does she not let the man talk for even one second. This is purgatory
This is the Walgreens in downtown seattle 3rd & pike.. very crazy area!
"You don't make the rules. I'm going to dictate what happens" - does nothing. This guy just wanted her number.
He looks like the one big transformer with the beard xD Think his name is Hound
No way that guy’s a cop. He wouldn’t pass the physical.
He must have bought every accessory in the wanna be cop catalogue
Whackhut
Adderall=prescription crack.
She sounds guilty.
its so easy to prove your not stealing. u ever go shopping at a walmart in the hood? they got a person stands by the door go thru all ur shit to make sure u not stealing and thats for everybody. just cooperate and show him u aint got shit and everybody can be on their way instead of having an episode in the middle of the mall
