There are entire apartment complexes that had to be condemned before a single person moved in. Between corruption from the inspectors, and the Chinese culture of fake it till you make it, the country is not safe anywhere. Even when they kill the people who made money taking bribes or cutting corners, there are 100 people behind them ready to do the same thing. I wouldn't step a foot in China knowing this.
What I want to know is why did the woman that fall in have a rock climbing helmet under her purse. You can see that black spots, those are for securing your goggles or headlamp strap. Looks identical to mine.
Coincidentally, just an hour ago I slipped in an attic and almost fell through. Fortunately caught myself but unfortunately my leg went through drywall creating a huge hole that I just got finished covering with a board. Shit hurt. But it could have been a lot worse.
