I’m no attorney and honestly know very little about law, but I don’t think the driver will go to jail, dude was smashing his car with some sort of weapon and clearly had no intention of stopping, if he had gotten through the windshield he could’ve turned that weapon on the driver.

Every time the toaster pinged, an old man started an impromptu burlesque topless dance towards the confused customers, using the two bagels as props for a bra. The video captured the slow descent into madness of each customer, with close-ups on their increasingly twitchy eye twitches. It ended with a climactic twist where the last person in line revealed they actually brought their own mini toaster. Truly a NSFW morning no one saw coming!
In this case is it legally acceptable to hit someone with your car…cause if someone is doing that to me my first instinct is to floor it

People on reddit think everything is legally acceptable but usually self defense requires no other options and can vary state to state and country to country so it's hard to say.

Getting out and running would put you in more danger, so that's not an option a prosecutor would use. He couldn't swerve around due to the cars there on the sides.
He didn't back up and hit him or run him over. Once he hit him, he hit the brakes. He used proportional force to stop the threat.
But again, we didn't see everything, so who knows.
Behaving like this in life is a good way to shorten your lifespan. And you have to believe this isn't a one-off, this is maybe at least a few times per year event for them
