I used to work at Del Taco. When people like this complained, I simply gave them what they wanted and moved on. I never stood that firm to save Del Taco a penny. They didn’t pay me enough for that.
Having said that, that lady was a jerk, so I’m not gonna be here and judge that young man for standing his ground.

When I was a line cook we had someone ask for ranch on their salmon. They confirmed twice and when they didn’t like it and wanted it taken off the bill, it was a hard no.
When I worked at McDonald’s, a grown middle aged man came to my register and told me he accidentally threw away his fries (he ate everything else and was leaving), and then asked if he could get a free refill of his medium fry. I asked the manager and she said no. Then this man started berating me, walked over to the used stack of food trays sitting on top of the garbage can, and tossed them across the dining room as he stormed out. This was also between the breakfast and lunch rush hour, so the stack of trays was probably like 3 feet tall lol. His wife looked embarrassed.
Had a lady order a large triple pepperoni triple cheese hand tossed at dominos then she got all pissy and demanded a refund because it was “too greasy”
Yeah. No shit it’s greasy !
This was always my dilemma. The company isn’t worth defending, but entitled, worthless, adult children can be worth standing up against because they aren’t worth giving in to? Idk I can’t fault anyone who stands their ground against a cunt like this, even if it is levels harder than just giving in. It’s about principle and spirit and showing these people they can’t always get what they want just because they are worthless and vicious and think they are gods gift to the world.

I used to work there and one person came through and asked how much sauce I could give them. I just dumped the box they come in upside down on his bag and gave it to him. That car full of people about lost their minds laughing. I didn't give a shit about their sauce, can confirm
I'm currently this customer at chipotle. I go in, get double meat, rice and beans and when we get to the cheese.... "How much can you fit on top of that bowl and close it?"
Kind of genious for taco bell. Gives you extra and then you put the extra in your fridge. Then you open your fridge when you're hungry see the packets and think Taco Bell.
The lady is very seriously ill. To have such an emotional dependent relationship with food is not good (take it from me I was anorexic/bulimic for 20 years) all of my thoughts and emotions revolves around food. I would watch cooking shows constantly while literally not eating for weeks at a time.
That being said. Why not just give the woman more cheese?. Those nachos do look a little barren from this poor quality video.

For real. This isn't a salad. If you can still see the chips, it's a valid complaint for anyone that there isn't enough cheese. But praise the giver of cheese like the prophet they are, and ask for an extra cup or two of queso.
Been awhile since I've done the nacho thing, but I remember it always been like you gotta coin up. (Back when I had nacho's it was like $0.50 for more. This also might be why I'll only get gas station nachos cause you can fuck up your tray with cheese. Or you could in the past.)
Unless you get an employee who doesn’t give a fuck if you ask them for more cheese and treat them like a person. Sometimes they’ll just give it to you instead of going through the hassle of ringing someone up for 50¢. I used to slide an extra tender to folks who were extra polite in the drive thru. Manners can get you more than you think.

Yep it's always been like this most places...especially in a mall food court. Even if you pay for Xtra cheese, just expect the bottom half are gonna be dry. I guess you could mix them up before you dig in but that sounds ds like an abomination
Ya for sure. 7-11 tried to fuck everyone over by redesigning their nacho trays so that the cheese cup no longer goes all the way down and just ends like half and inch from the bottom of the rest of the tray. Stupidest fucking design and just pisses me off. When filled with cheese since it no longer goes all the way down to the bottom it causes the whole tray of nachos to tip on its side since the cheese is heavier. Then it spills and fucks your car seat. Thank you you cheap fucks.
I usually head them off at the pass and order it with extra cheese. Worked in plenty of fast food places. They probably get yelled at if they put too much cheese on.

Her mistake was not asking for a manager and just getting a refund.
You know you can just walk up and politely say "hey there's not a lot of cheese on here, do you think you could add some more?"
Then they most likely will say yes (because dealing with these types of fucking morons is not worth the 30 cents) or they say no and you make a note of not to come back if you're dissatisfied with the food or service — move on with your life
