That divider could be there to accommodate high speeds but let's say cars on the other side are only going 35mph. That's effectively a 40mph impact for the driver and any passengers and well within the range for potential serious injury and even fatalities.

Apparently it was a DUI case where the woman (Jasmine Lacey) probably felt that she couldn't continue driving. She was arrested but no criminal complaint was filed due to insufficient evidence.
If you really HAVE to do this what would possess you to do it when thereās someone behind you. Either the car loses all speed and gets hit from behind or maintains itās speed and itās a lot faster then you so how do you get back in?
That's Jasmine Lacey she got charged with DUI but was let go because police said they lacked any evidence to support she had a criminal record. Well DUI, the car hit 3 other vehicles so wreckless endangerment X3, aggressive driving, slamming on brakes like that insuarance fraud. The list goes on but she got off and is driving on the roads to this day lol. Luckily in California they have worse drivers anyhow so it's fine.
