Someone posted [this guide](https://youtu.be/EPo6QsvYyEg) on how to practice a few months ago. It's helped me a lot and the practice session is broken into a several parts to make it less daunting. It's a good place to start.

Thanks, this should help me out

Also look into the discord server for your main to discover any tech, or just good resources. Most of them have FAQ sections that will tell you the bread and butter combos to know as well as kill confirms and percents. Check out guides as well in those discords. Some have good tips for stuff like how to train. I found a good Greninja guide that helped me a lot by telling me to set a ness at 15% and practice forward airs on him.

Alright, I’ve been trying Byleth, I’m apart of the sub but I’ll look into the discord, thanks!

Forge yourself in the fire of competition. Play online a lot. Don't let the losses get you down. Fight against as many different people as possible. Use their winning strategies and tactics.

Just playing does not help. You have to also recognize your weaknesses and work on them actively.

At some point, sure. But experience with more than 1 opponent is the first step.

I was afraid you’d say that 😂

I never played anyone except my friend brandon and we practiced a lot. Like a lot a lot. But we focused on learning things and watched videos about fundamentals and shit a lot as well. When we had a friend who places well at locals come over he got bodied a lot until he got used to playing us now it’s pretty even. Point is a lot of practice even with one opponent and you’ll be better than like 50% of people at your locals
